I'm gonna be that guy and say that wasn't 190. If he was really topping it out, he wouldn't have been able to accelerate that fast (when you are topping it out, it takes a lot longer to get that last 20-30 mph). I'd believe 190 kph, which is a little under 120.

@MrDankness60 it is possible yes but a PC isn't what does it, a power command deals with delivering better power at the turn of the throttle not adding more to your top speed.
OH and the difference between a zx12r and zx14 is that the zx14's engine is 352cc's larger, and it's wet weight (stock) is 10lbs more than the zx12r. By removing the stock exhaust and using an aftermarket full exhaust you end up with the zx14 weighing LESS than the zx12r, but it still has more hp and more torque. So =P

Consider the camera man is about 10 feet from him when he goes by, ANYTHING looks fast at that distance. Stand next to the highway and do that and it will look similar and they are not going 190 there. If you did the Texas mile you of all people should know that.......and that is a big IF you did the texas mile. I have done track days so i see 190 all the time........
Its a ZX-10R; freeze the frame or view the other videos. A ZX-12R will do 200+ stock, in fact, that was how they advertised it when I bought mine, "The worlds first 200 mph production bike" back in 1999/2000. It looks fairly new, so with even just a chain conversion and some sprockets swapped I don't doubt that thing would be flying past 190mph...
A ZX-12r will NOT do 200+ stock... it's RPM restricted in 5th gear fool. And even if you put in a TRE you're still not going to do 200+ stock. You'll need to go up a tooth on the front sprocket.
OH and get GPS proof. Never trust the speedometer, the faster you go the less accurate they are.

Doesnt matter zx10 or 12 or R1 or GSXR1000 or Hyabusa- by a legal agreement between the US and Japan all streetbikes are limited to 186mph. An exhaust only changes tone and if the fuel map is correct how efficient it runs. And if you wiegh over 180 or more you arent hittin 186 either.
I've topped out my R1's too many times to count as well as the guys I rode with that had ZX10's and 12's. Anyone that says theirs will do 190 or better doesnt want to face the truth.
@JimmyR1rider If he has top end work again it'll give it plenty more torque and will indeed get him to top speed quicker, but the top speed comes from much more than just top end work it's more in your gearing than anything...I'm sure you know the ins and outs. I just seen too many guys get all the work doen thinking theyre gonna go much faster on the top speed and are somewhat disappointed in the end result is all. Especialy when they weight 200 lbs and a small guy on a stock 1000 leaves em.

@adrenalineboyzryan It's a 1000cc, not a 600cc buddy. Even being a 1000cc, 190 is a small bit of a stretch but it definitely does more than 160. 180mph should be attainable on this bike no problem. And we're talking actual speed, not the 5% error margin allowed on the speedometers that people often don't realize.
@Dennissays No shit a ZX-10 is a liter bike! I know they are capable of going 190 but he is not by any means going 190 here. For starters you have to remove the governer, and from there you can mod it however far you want to hit much higher speeds. My point is that people think that hitting close to 200mph real speed is such an easy feat. I bet if half these people use gps the way you should, the would be surprised how fast they are not going. Oh and top end on your speedo is about 10%off.

depends what bike it is, zx6 will be 150s top speed, zx10 will be 180ish, all litre bikes are electronically limited to right in there. They wont go much more, just an FYI up until last year I believe the top speed hit on the isle of man was 190s
Well not at more than about 20mph off road (lol). I've been on a bicycle at 40mph several times. I would like to try riding a motorcycle though. It probably was faster than 152. They were measuring speed more accurately. I was just trying to guess using the approximate pitch change of the engine
You can work out the speed of the bike using the doppler shift in engine pitch. The engine had just over 1.5 x the pitch as it was approaching.
s = speed of sound
b = speed of bike
s + b = 1.5(s - b)
s + b = 1.5s - 1.5b
s + 2.5b = 1.5s
2.5b = 0.5s meaning the bike was travelling just over one fifth the speed of sound. Sound is 761mph so the bike is just over 152mph as it passes the camera. (Worked out lower than 190mph but is only a guess on engine pitch)

1000s- 170mph zone
ZX14 and Busa - 198mph max.
the issue is that speedometers lie. always account for 10% error. "dude my 600 can go 170" when really its doing 158.

Its a ZX-10R; freeze the frame or view the other videos. A ZX-12R will do 200+ stock, in fact, that was how they advertised it when I bought mine, "The worlds first 200 mph production bike" back in 1999/2000. It looks fairly new, so with even just a chain conversion and some sprockets swapped I don't doubt that thing would be flying past 190mph...

A ZX-12r will NOT do 200+ stock... it's RPM restricted in 5th gear fool. And even if you put in a TRE you're still not going to do 200+ stock. You'll need to go up a tooth on the front sprocket.
OH and get GPS proof. Never trust the speedometer, the faster you go the less accurate they are.

I have over 165HP (at the wheel dumbass) and 79lbs of torque w/ the rev limit raised. When stock, my bike was only 150HP w/ 73bs of torque. Not even my gearing is stock! And I know what it takes to hit the 2 ton mark, unlike U. Just another $4,000 n I will hit that mark. U may ride, but U obviously DON'T know shit about upgrading a motorcycle or flat-out speed runs! Bring ur bitch-ass honda on the street or track and I will SPANK ur shit lovely!

I also know a few guys that race bikes, and they know very well what it takes to approach 200mph. Currently my bike tops out at 192mph (GPS). This pass was 191.2 with no headwind! I, almost every week, top my bike out. And please DO NOT EVER compare ur fucking slow ass honda to my bike. They are not even close to identical.

I ride a 1000rr which has almost identical power and top speed, which is about a little over 180. 190 plus is not very easy to hit, no matter how "well" you can ride. Go get some real facts and then you might realize how hard it is to poke at 200mph. Like I said, I am telling the truth, not what I think like you are. Oh, and the speedo's are up to 10% off at top speed also, so you really aren't going 160. Stupid kid!

Doesnt matter zx10 or 12 or R1 or GSXR1000 or Hyabusa- by a legal agreement between the US and Japan all streetbikes are limited to 186mph. An exhaust only changes tone and if the fuel map is correct how efficient it runs. And if you wiegh over 180 or more you arent hittin 186 either.
I've topped out my R1's too many times to count as well as the guys I rode with that had ZX10's and 12's. Anyone that says theirs will do 190 or better doesnt want to face the truth.

@JimmyR1rider If he has top end work again it'll give it plenty more torque and will indeed get him to top speed quicker, but the top speed comes from much more than just top end work it's more in your gearing than anything...I'm sure you know the ins and outs. I just seen too many guys get all the work doen thinking theyre gonna go much faster on the top speed and are somewhat disappointed in the end result is all. Especialy when they weight 200 lbs and a small guy on a stock 1000 leaves em.

@JimmyR1rider I dont agree fully newer bikes are limited to 186 but an exhaust dose more then give a bike sound and make it run more efficient most exhausts give a bike more hp more means a bike able to hit a higher speed if!! the bike has the top speed limiter removed and is geared right and yes weight does make a difference but i dont think it makes as much of a difference at top speed as it does in acceleration the person that wieghs less will get to top speed faster

@ticktock4792 150 or 160? What bike you got? Different bikes, models & years have different powerbands & gearing, it all depends on what it has on it. I can do 160mph no problem, whereas my roomate has taken my ZX6R up to 173mph but let off due to upcoming traffic. I never topped mine out yet.

@gixxerich I know it is a 10, never said it was a 6. He is still accelerating quite a bit when the video starts. To hit top speed the bike gains very little speed for the last few miles an hour. There is no way he was going 190 here. I would guess about 160 going by how long it was accelerating. I also never said it couldn't go 190, just not going that fast here. Too many idiots that believe anything they see because they don't know any better.

@adrenalineboyzryan It's a 1000cc, not a 600cc buddy. Even being a 1000cc, 190 is a small bit of a stretch but it definitely does more than 160. 180mph should be attainable on this bike no problem. And we're talking actual speed, not the 5% error margin allowed on the speedometers that people often don't realize.

@Dennissays No shit a ZX-10 is a liter bike! I know they are capable of going 190 but he is not by any means going 190 here. For starters you have to remove the governer, and from there you can mod it however far you want to hit much higher speeds. My point is that people think that hitting close to 200mph real speed is such an easy feat. I bet if half these people use gps the way you should, the would be surprised how fast they are not going. Oh and top end on your speedo is about 10%off.

depends what bike it is, zx6 will be 150s top speed, zx10 will be 180ish, all litre bikes are electronically limited to right in there. They wont go much more, just an FYI up until last year I believe the top speed hit on the isle of man was 190s

You can work out the speed of the bike using the doppler shift in engine pitch. The engine had just over 1.5 x the pitch as it was approaching.
s = speed of sound
b = speed of bike
s + b = 1.5(s - b)
s + b = 1.5s - 1.5b
s + 2.5b = 1.5s
2.5b = 0.5s meaning the bike was travelling just over one fifth the speed of sound. Sound is 761mph so the bike is just over 152mph as it passes the camera. (Worked out lower than 190mph but is only a guess on engine pitch)
