  • Dennis is a musical genius!! He has written so many outstanding songs, many of which have not gained the recognition they deserve, while somehow on the radio DJs continue to play a bunch of garbage.

  • Not sure what the goof below me is talking about. I first heard music from Hunchback when Mr. Deyoung was performing a the Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, IL. They were selling the CD's and I bought one. I saw Mr. Deyoung the following year, again at the Rosemont Theatre and bought 2 more CD's to give as gifts. Finally, I got to see the actual production at the Bailywick Theatre in Chicago. Amazing musical. And a must see if it ever gets a wider release.

  • for a so-called pro singer / actor he's not projecting or using any diction at all. also he needs to move his mouth more! it sounds good ... for an average 14-15 yr old singer. before this gets trolled. i'm studying singing at one of the top music universities in the world sooo ... yh he needs to work on that!!

  • that is the first singer - the second (hunchback) is excellent

  • I struggled to understand what the singer was singing

  • CONGRATULATIONS! to Dennis and cast/crew for the 2008 Jeff Award for best musical. Saw this production 4 times and will never tire of it. Jeremy and George were briliant casting choices. Love you guys!

  • this was a fabulous musical and I wish that it could be given a wider audience. I saw it twice and was so moved.

Unfortunately it got mixed reviews in the press in Chicago which really hurt attendance. This show was perfect in every way!!!

  • This is an attempt to attract readers to see the musical, but the name DENNIS DE YOUNG alone should be enough. It is a beautiful, magical adaptation of the universal theme of human struggles in the society and from within, and of finding love in the most mysterious form. I hope for only the best for this musical -- it would be a HUGE shame not to have this on a worldwide stage like its sister, Les Miserables, but for what it's worth, there's always a hundred years from now, right Dennis?

  • Actually, the Quasi character is George Andrew Wolff

  • Oh Jeremy that was lovely. :)

I wish they hadn't cut off George's song.

  • GREAT MUSICAL!!! Jeremy Rill is my favorite!!! The entire cast was outstanding also!!!

  • Saw the play on May 24th.....FANTASTIC
