There would a be a brass cross shape, and having a single eye slit would be too dangerous, one lucky, well aimed lunge with a sword, straight through the eye slit into the head, it was 70% accurate though, very good, next time, make it a little shorter, so the eye slits seem higher up, once again, nicely done.
Oh, well it's really easy to do. Just get some poster board, draw the shape you want which in this case is really just a rectangle with a slight taper to the bottom, cut a slite for vision and any other added details you want, curve it round and glue or tape it close. Cut a circle for the top and do the same. Add the rest of the features as you see fit. Paint it with a bit of silver paint from a craft store and there you go.
Your video has convinced me. During my next holiday from college I'll post up a video on how to make a great helm from steel. 'tis nice and easy.
As a little tip for you, if you plan to wear it, no head is circular. The top of your helm should be oval in shape, with a slightly steeper curve at the front.

good job but it should be made out of thin aluminum. its a bit harder to work with but it will look alot better and feel more like a real helm.
