  • thanx, this was really helpful

  • God I hate peoople....

  • im having issues with my stackable pigments what do i need to apply them

  • GREAT VIDEO

  • You actually happen to be rather cute, thanks a lot for the video recording. its pathetic im living within Muir Beach because i can't purchase great cosmetics, though i receive freely available cosmetic samples through "Gratis Makeup Samples". i love Maybelline cosmetics!

  • great video you get great colour due to your beautiful skin tone!! :)

  • nice :)

  • "isnt that vicious?" Lol.. totally..

btw that purple IS gorgeous on you..

  • love MAC but don't think I'll be buying the shadesticks anymore, they break too easily and they dry out too quickly.

  • oh my god i love your pigment colours, they are SO VIBRANT!! i am so jealous you can actually pull off even wearing different, very vibrant colours on each eye! lovvve it <3

  • I prefer Windows!

  • Love your video and all the info your provide people. Yep, they still make dark soul:) I wear my pigments with a regular base or prep & prime, I sometime put a darker color under them if I want to change the color or something. Isnt Vanilla the best!! It's my #1 must have, out of my almost 200 samples it's the one I use the most.

I like your videos cause they really help people learn about pigments and not be afraid of them. Pigments are all I wear 99% of the time.

  • can u tell me why eyeshadow are more expensive than pigment loose powders?

  • u r soo funny to me and i like the vid so now i have a better idea on how i'm going to use my ney pigments

  • i love this video and you are gorgeous! but girl you needa be careful don't stretch your eyelids too much they can get eye wrinkles

  • really goood!!

  • u spread it on like that? I watch different tutorials and most say always pat on your shadows/pigments never spread it on..oh well different methods to use..

yeah they still do make dark soul.

  • you are suppose to pat on your pigment to keep the strong colour, but oh well lol

  • i love the blue and purple on you but i am very pale and blond hair and blue eyes, what colors can i get away with?

  • that blue is gorgeous! (906)

  • is violet a pigment a permident color

  • I wanted to know do u think it good to use a pigment on top of a paint pot or are paints better. If you use a paint does the color of the paint matter. Thanks your great

  • what is the product u use on ur lids to stop the oilyness?

  • I love how the two diff eye color look so good on yr skin!! Its cute! Thanks for the tutorial! ;)

  • hey !!! u just sprayed it in the camera!!its kinda blurred

  • But what do you do if you don't have a precious tube of that gorgeous purple paint like you have? What do you suggest? Thanks!!! (I want MAC to bring that paint back!!!)

  • This video was great, and you're gorgeous!

  • you are so beautiful!! you have such a great energy!

  • awesome! I love pigments and you just gave me a couple more ways to apply it! I gotta buy myself some more paints! Thank you!

  • I loved it! You are a good teacher!

  • love your tutorials!

  • I have to be honest that I was scared to use loose powder pigments because I didn't want to have powder everywhere. And being a makeup novice doesn't help either, but thank you for this simple, easy tutorial (great color combos too girl), I can't wait to get my hands on some pigments and work it out; in favs :D! What do you use to prep the lids with before using the pigments? Do I use moisturizer, an eye primer and then the paint or shadestick? I think something got lost in translation for me.

  • Lol, you got the lens a little bit with the Fix Plus. ^o^ I also love using pigment in with clear gloss for custom color lip gloss on photo shoots (If I need a green lip gloss, I can make one, because I'm not sure they make one, lol). Also, I love throwing in some pigment with clear nail polish so I don't need to buy a whole nail polish set; just a bottle or two of clear and I have any color I want! Great video Erin, hope you eventually found your Royal Hue! (It's GoRgEoUs!)

  • what did u spray ur brush with? and should i always use a color stick before i put on the loose shadows?

  • I used Fix+, you don't have to use the shade sticks!

  • agggg i love that blue....

  • Golden Olive and Violet are not safe to use on the lips I believe. It says in the little paper at the bottom of the box the product comes in.

  • I have heard tht all pgiments r not safe to use on lips/cheeks and other places other than the eye. would rose, pink bronze, and copper sparkle be safe to use on lips and cheeks?

  • Hmm, good question. Not sure. There are little sheets inside of the pigments that tell you what products are safe in which areas.

  • i love ur vids!! this one has great lighting!! =)

  • youre fun to wtch :D

  • I just watched your tutorial and I loved it!!! I wear glasses and I sometimes find myself "over doing" my eye makeup. I want my eyes to still get noticed but without looking like a tramp!!! Also, my budget won't quite let me purchase MAC loose pigment colors--any other suggestions untill I win the lotto?? (smile) any advice would be great..btw..i'm a carmel shade black woman

  • I had to go out to the Cosmetic Company in Leesburg Outlets to find Royal Hue there and ebay. All of the stores and counters were sold out or said it was discontinued...Glad I found this because my pigments are just sitting and I have a rack of them :-/

  • u can make a video longer than 10 minutes. but it takes forever to upload.

  • I think they d/c the Royal Hue:0(. It's a gorgeous color on you and we're about the same complexion...

Do you know of any possible dupes?

  • you are cute ^_^

  • So hier mein panzer.

  • those colors are on fire!! so hot!

  • wow

    beautiful!!

    i love the colors <3

  • the violet and pretty blue/green together....HAWT!

  • you should do the violet and the mufe #906 together for a look...i think itll be hot..

  • Oh my...is that the really intense matte purple e/s??

  • You are beautiful and those colors look so good on you! And you have very high eyebrows. So much shadow space... I'm jealous!

  • LOL aww thank you!

  • lol i love this video it was funny when you sprayed the studio fix lol funny xoxox Smooches

  • the violet is gorgeous. I think i will buy it when i go to the city.

  • "I wear it like it's my freaking job" haha

Thanks for the tutorial, I've always been a fan of MAC pigments, and they don't come out that often. Their new nautical themes are really pretty! check em out!

  • LOL

  • Great, thanks,I really needed to know how to use these(Im so dumb!).

    =)

  • You're not dumb!

  • hi there, thanks a lot for this! i`ve been wondering how to use my pigments coz i just bought some... so thanks again!! :)

  • No problem!

  • I tohght that shit was for minerats and stuff? It no safe for use likes that?

  • nope.

  • thank you so much for this!

I've been trying to find something good to use with pigments to make them more "vibrant" but i'm lacking in paint pots, paints and shadesticks which everyone seems to recommend so the fix+ idea was great! I'm babbling! thankyou! :D

  • No prob...they also work well over L'Oreal Crayons!

  • I wish mac would make a really deep fushia purple paintpot, a hotpink paintpot, and orange paintpot, a yellow paintpot and a clear baby blue :D

  • I am going out tomorrow to buy a couple of more pigments.

  • haha...i wear it like it's my freaken job..lol. good one i'm going to have to say that :)

  • LOL...Yeah it's that serious!!

  • I still haven't used my shadesticks. LOL

  • This is really great cuz i was wondering what i could use to smoke them out like whether the pigment would work or not so thats really kewl and they do still make dark soul ;) cant wait till the next one!!

  • Good to know! Thanks.

  • You make a really good point about making sure the skin is hydrated where you use a highlight. I hate when I use shroom or white frost as a highlight and it looks dry and flaky - I want that shiny, bright look, not dry skin. Next time I'm going to try hydrating first and maybe using some vaseline or eye cream to mix into the highlight color. Thanks!

  • don't use vaseline. It makes ur eye all greasy and then the shadow creases.

  • Erin,

Until you can find Royal Hue, try NYX Jumbo pencil in Purple. It's similar in color, it's very very creamy, you might like it as a back up. It's about $2.

  • Hmm, I'll check it out tomorrow...

  • oooo! those colors are so bright. I love it!

  • Great info, E

  • i love the colors that you used for your examples...does the Vanilla give that shiny smmoth look that Kaisha Cole always on her browbone in her videos when she wears lighter colors?

  • Hey! Yes it will give you a very smooth look IF you don't use it on dry skin. Make sure your skin is hydrated and/or you are wearing a slightly creamy or moist product under the brow. I haven't seen any of her videos lately, but I'll do some research.

  • i like your video , 5 strz , nice look 2 !

  • Great video, so informative! I love the bright colors!

  • :( <-----sad face. I want Infamous.

  • LOL....Yeah I knew I shouldn't have used it for that reason!!! There were so many hot paints before...hot 'n sour, blueboy, dabble, etc. But I swear, Royal Hue does the job SO much better, you'll adore it, I promise!

  • I love bright colors
