  • "Kjempefint" fra Livgarden Danmark :-)

  • amazing.

  • Hehe he can deflect bullets like that.

  • is that real rifle?

  • Hey I'm just wat type and how much ure rifle weights

  • Good generally, but he's gotta control the rifle, not the other way around

  • ????????weired music hahahaha but i guess its ok

  • the music makes this seem so comedic... :P

  • Meget bra!!!

  • John Su is better

  • I would be scared to spin it that fast with a bayonet.

  • :/ sad day

  • this dude is good!!!

  • What country is this?

  • its Norway dude

  • Thank you

  • its the u.s the army just has some odd uniforms

  • HAHA. considering hes white...

    you fucking racist.

  • epic fail! x)

  • yeah ur an ignorant peice of shit and a fucking blind down syndrome sufferer

  • Comment removed

  • great do you want a cookie?

  • good job guy A+

  • Poor guy, must have been bored.. I'll Flip in my Blues when required, but I'd wear civilian gear when freestyling.

  • he's not freestyling...that is a part of the drill they performe, and it is a video made by HMKG as a promovideo for their website a few years ago

  • That is some insane spinning right there. I always dreamed that someone would get their ear sliced off by the bayonet and then I would wake up.

  • u can't compare this to american drillorganisations.

Most of those who join the Drillteam in His Majesty the kings Guard of Norway have never drilled with a rifle before joining. And then (including him) have 3-4months to train before starting the drillseason. It's not like in america where it's normal to start drilling as a kid.

Going from never having touched an M1 to doing what he does in the video in 3 months is a good effort.

  • I concur

  • damn

  • Nice Snap. Only special thing about this video.

  • because it is i can do better and with m 1's thats a gay ass rifle and uniform silent drill team is better

  • Please learn english before responding...

Bad uniform? Have you seen it IRL? Mayby you should stop judging uniforms based on YouTube quality films? And why is the M1 a "Gay as rifle?" Its a good rifle do dill with. And the rifles the norwegian uses are heavier than the Us rifles, becuase they are originale, they can be shot with.

  • Well, actually in the U.S service drill teams, they are all originals and they aren't demilled like JROTC ones are. Honestly regardless this guy wasn't all that great, not sure how it got such high ratings.

  • Oh and just so you understand, I'm not saying Norwegian drill is bad, because it isn't. This guy in particular wasn't very good.

  • rang3t0mag3 you are a noob

  • jeg så han vise den på 17. Mai i fjor. da var året 2007

    c",)

  • dette er jo ikke 2007 solo'en da..

  • how can you say this is gay?

  • this shit is 1000-times better then silent drill team and averyone else of the drill troops around the world....

    Hilsen Victor;)

  • he's with no doubt very good, and The Kings Guard is very good. but there are many drillteams that's better;) ...like New Guard America, Air Force Honor Guard, US Navy Drillteam, US Army Drillteam etc...

but ofc nice to see that you like The Kings Guard;)

  • Depends on how you judge them.

If you judge them on the "Rifle spinning" Sure..US is better, but then again their weapons are better balanced, and weight less. And they are not loaded nor the cant be shot with. The norwegians can do that.

If you judge them on COordination...There is no way on earth the are better than HMKG. And that means alot to me. It is way funnier to watch a well coordinated precision drill than a normal US drill.

  • Jada..helt enig.

  • Springfield balance IS better.

  • yeah it is better balanced...but not as much as many think

  • I've spun both, its definitely noticeable.

I know like 20 words rofl, only because theres so many norwegian drill vids on youtube, the rest have roots close to english words because its anglo-saxon so its easy to infer meanings.

  • i'm impressed:P ...creds to you!:P

    i first thought you where norwegian:P ...untill i saw u'r channel:P

  • u speak norwegian btw?

  • btw the caption says Queens Guard. Kings Guard would be Konigs Garde

  • King is "Konge" in Norwegian, not Konig. If it were Queens Guard the caption would be "Dronningens Garde" instead of "Kongens garde". Just so you know.

  • not bad but to repetitive.

  • wow...

  • what is the name of the song?

  • Take 5 by Dave Brubeck

  • no joo

  • Rifles and smoooooooth jaaaaaaaaazz. Gotta love it.

  • yes thats why you've never heard of New Guard right? they make this guy look like a scrub lol

  • isn't it kind of dangerous to spin a rifle with a baonnet attached to it

  • Yes, but you usually start spinning without a bayonet. After years of refinning you skills and learning to have absolute control over your rifle (this usually happens during High school) then when you join a professional team you don't make the meat grinder a literal move.

  • Not in the King's Guard though, we use bayonets the first day of training.

  • Except in the Norwegian King's Guard, which this guy in the video belongs to, where you train with the bayonet attached from the moment you are issued the rifle. :-)

  • I like the music lol.

  • wow han var godt

  • it was godd but i only saw 2 move the entire time

  • wtf what kind of uniform is that?

  • Apparently not one of those ugly american ones.

  • sorry but apparently the American uniforms r better and sharper then what hes wearing sorry but thats what I think. It would be better if he didn't have that top hat or watever u call it.

  • Do that. Imagine the hat without the hair. That would be....stupid. This is one of the finest uniforms in the world. The american ones are so "Normal" looking. It's to boring of you ask me.

  • U.S.Army uniforms are made in "new time".. U.S.uniforms are dating back to the american civil war at the best(earlyest)! Norway,Sweden,Island and Denmark have a bit more history regarding uniforms and combat!! The kings guard origenated in stockholm. Both Sweden and Norway have Drilltroops that no American can ever come close to..! Let us know when U.S.turns to conscription troops to perform their Tatoos...!!

  • Yeah...I finally got around to seeing Norway's "Drilltroop". They're impressive...for a practically unarmed team. Sorry, doing one spin does not make you a driller.

  • that's true, but the word "drill" doesn't quite have the same meaning in norwegian as in english...in norway the word "drill" means reharsing something over and over again 'till u can du it up side down in u'r sleep;) ...not spinning like crazy.

so HMKG's special field isn't as driller's, but more as precision perfomers. that's why we call them a drillplatton...and ofc..they do spinn around too:P

but the norwegian style of drilling is different from the american style...

  • Why is there a need to compare two drastically different military cultures? Why would be it be better? There's a reason most of the world doesn't like us.

  • Exactly, the US drill teams and the Norwegian drill platoon are two completely different types of drilling. It seems to me that (based on the USMC drill platoon and the Hawaiian Royal Guard), that the US drill teams aim more for fluidity of motion and a flurry of movements, while the Norwegian is more about precision, speed and fewer movements with a more stylish touch.

  • Well, our military service drill teams do approach drill in a more precise, ceremonial fashion because of the tradition surrounding those particular teams. The only team which does not execute a routine like this our Navy Ceremonial Drill Team which utilizes a greater variety of high-velocity trick spins.

  • Still there's a lot of fluidity in motion in the USMC's drill platoon than in ours.

One example: Search Youtube by copying and pasting either "Gatedrillen 17. mai" or "Første drill", and you'll see what we really do, we don't really spin the rifles that much. Also, search "drilltropp", and see the first video to see how good this guy got by the end of the year and in what context he spins his rifle in the drill.

  • On the civilian side of things, however, drill is a more artistic blending of flowing and rhythmic movements. As you said, the Hawaiian King's Guard drill team embodies this particular style. The freedom of not being associated with a particular military branch allows for more creative liberty.

  • it's the Paradeuniform for His Majesty The Kings Guard of Norway.

it has more or less seen no change since the guard was formed in 1856.

  • song name gentlemen?

  • he got skillz

  • OMG, i love the music ._. great spinning though, I love the smoothness of it all. it's not exactly "snappy" but still, it looks good

  • Were can i go to learn these tricks

  • any drill team.

  • now. can you shoot as good as you spin it ?

  • its not a real rifle stupid

  • It is

    2Lt Pedersen

  • Krag Jørgensen is that rifle called.

  • no....its called M1 Garand

det der er ikke no krag nei..

  • lol? Oh yeah, its real.

  • Yes it is.

  • the real rifle wouldnt be that well balanced they change the balance on drill rifles so they can be spun im not to sure it is real.

  • It is a genuine M1 Garand. In the US, they make them lighter by taking out the insides, which maybe also helps with the balance, or so I've heard. I'm in the platoon this guy served in now, and I'm doing this daily. The Garand is well balanced, so if you spin it using the place where the strap is fastened on the top there as the axis of the spin, it's no problem. If your hand starts slipping down the strap toward the trigger, it gets much heavier because the weight doesn't get distributed evenly

  • this i know... i am an exhibitionist myself. but i spin M1903's wich i know are balanced without much modification. but i was told that garands had to be gutted and demilitarized to be balanced enough to spin. but i am glad that i can gain this new knowlege if it is true.

  • Not true I have both a striped/gutted m1 and a regular, other then being a little lighter it makes no difference. The m1 is not hard to spin at all. But the 1903 is a little easer cuss it is more balanced.

  • the rifle he's using is a real Garand M1. If u see one of the full shows you will see that the drillteams scilent part always end with the drillteam shooting one shot in the air;)

so the rifle is VERY real....belive me i know...i'm a former member of The Kings Guard (HMKG)

  • That wobble is super annoying.

  • i have the same problem you do....we both wobble when we spin.

  • OMG! great technique!! I can learn by you, technique isn't so good...:$

  • real clean

  • lol nice man it kinda looks ur toying with the gun with thouse white gloves and all, but nice job

  • its a part of their perfect uniform

  • I don't think Delta would a drill team. There SF.

  • heeey.. niiiice... we need a new guard :D

  • For those who think this is fake, its not.

Kogens Garde, stå på gutter =) Prakt for øyet =)

  • Black watch is better than any Military team!!! OOOOOH YEAH!!!

  • lol

    Black Watch uses toy rifles

  • Background Music is insanely good.

  • ahhhh :] stop looking down look uP! goshie but of course i spin fake guns O.O;;

  • where's the delta? and the double bravo?

  • its not fake i like it he does look at his hands a bit much though krentzsabre why dont u thing hes good he could be better admitiedly but where have u seen better (link?)

  • he does look at everything. theres no need to look at anything he did. im not going to say hes bad but take a look at US NAVY CEREMONIAL GUARD. youll see what drilling with a 10 inch bayonet can look like.

  • any videos of us navy ceremonial guard would be good to see?

  • http://youtube.com/watch?v=5lA7PDHn-Mc&search=4%20man%20drill%20team this is just the 4 man block. we also have a 9 man and a 12 man. this was our first 4 man block. were all pretty new so yes theres mistakes.

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=xWGU3mpfRoM&search=navy%20ceremonial%20guard%20drill%20team thats norway last year.

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=9d7YI-6eeM4&search=navy%20drill%20team some daily training.

  • they use the same bayonet...

and the kings guard have much more style.

  • This guy went through a selection period of 2 months before he even got a hold of the Garand, and then another 2 months of training on the drill programme before he began practising this, which he mostly did on his free time I suppose, which is about 2 hours a day. That leaves maybe a month or two for him to get to this level. Professional drill platoons train for years.

  • By "a month or two", I mean that's the time he has before the first showing of the drill programme, usually in March/April, and by that time he has to be at this level or better.

  • he looks like hes hunched over starring at his hands the whole time... took away from it all by doing so

  • Obviously not fake. Lol, i remember when I thought that guy was good....

  • so fake..............
