CA audio DAC magic has very similar sound i hear,,,and the Asus has two separate knobs and section for Headphone amps and the DAC....the DAC is great so far...no complaints,,,dac magic plus has a deal breaker in that there is no VOlume gradient marker,,,,and that can seriously mess me up,,,since im a bit absent minded and can blow my rig and ears....so dont want a shoddy job here...
Ok folks,,have been playing around with the Asus E1,,,and the first impressions after some burn in is that the Headphone section rocks! A++++,,,and i even trundle it to my fav cafe to get some writing done on my Denon D-5000s and Im hearing new sounds on them,,,they sound very balanced and wonderful sound...i can take the lovely knob on the Headphone section to 11 oclock...after 11 its too loud and at 12 painful...playing 24 bit sound and alls well here in the Kingdom! Highly recommended!

I'm still breaking in the entire system and will let you know how the sound progresses.....I'm having a blast....the headphone section has blown away my Denon ah-D5000s to kingdom Come and I'm experiencing sound and bass at a whole new level.
All that beautiful hardware blown on Dub Step ...cry.

oh man heard 3sec and knew that this is "some wobbles" by ephixa but in my opinion is dubstep no great deal to evaluate sound system!
