What I do for step 3 is this:

1. Fold paper in half, color side down

2. Fold in half

3. Open step 2 up

4. Fold both bottom corner to meet top of triangle

5. Take both sides and fold them down

Thank! I wanted a fox for my desk at work and this was a nice easy pattern. I notice that if you cut the square diagonally in half, you can get two foxes from one square, and they don't have as many double edges.
