  • send it to CNN- for their Freedom Project :) -spread the word

  • @survivorkitty430 Thanks for letting me know. I will check it out immediately. Thanks for the heads up!

  • @filmsculptor I hope you had a chance to send your video off to CNN- great job on the making of this video

  • ok this is all true however biased at the same time..this can be argued against...perhaps you should show the other side of the story =/? plus you can also prove your point by showing what leads to the other side of the story..like the stealing they do..why does it happen it's due to this..it would just make things more emotive and believable...however it shows a lot of hard work has been done here a thumbs up is not enough..i really wish that something could be done to help those people

  • @mish3lovic Thank you for watching the film and thanks for participating in the discussion. Your comment is appreciated. We also wish that something can be done for those depicted in the film. We wanted to express a perspective that is so often ignored from a people who seem "invisible" in Kuwaiti society. With respect to "the other side" of the story, a majority of people from any nationality are not criminals or evil people. We wanted 2 bring awareness 2 an issue that is so often ignored.

  • @filmsculptor i think you misunderstood my other side of the story part..you know how people are saying they steal and damage property? if you would've shown this and then reinforced that whats being done to them is leading to this it would just make people think a bit more...and is this movie really banned from showing in kuwait? i heard this somewhere?

  • @mish3lovic Yes the rumour is true, the film was banned from screening in theatres during the Kuwait Int'l Film Retreat. The cleaners we interviewed were not involved in any criminal activity, they were law abiding individuals. As a result the scenes you describe do not exist. They were discussing the misconceptions that others have of them. Hope this helps.

  • @filmsculptor yes and thank you very much

  • @mish3lovic You're very welcome. Thank you for your support.

  • Why would he spend $4000 dollars to move to a country that doesnt pay well? I am sympathetic with his situation, but if kuwait did not provide a better atmosphere than they have from bangladesh I dont understand why they would move? and leave his children?

  • @Fooshiya Thank you for watching the film and thanks for commenting. I appreciate it. They are promised one thing when they leave Bangladesh, when they arrive in Kuwait the situation is completely different. They leave Bangladesh in order to give their children a better life. Hope this helps.

  • @Fooshiya Be realistic. Of course they don't move if they're told all of this. They are lied to. They leave to make a better life for their family and they end up stuck and cheated out of what they deserve.

  • @TheGnomeNome I am realistic. If you've been to Kuwait you would know that there are THOUSANDS of them there. A better lifestyle? This has been going on for years, decades even, I cant understand how they would have NOT known. They were'nt cheated, they have brains and are able to make a CHOICE.yeah the government should pay those that have been in kuwait for years with the same salary, but they should also ban any more from coming.

  • @Fooshiya "If I've been"? I was born here, I live here, and always have lived here (yes, I know my profile claims otherwise). Bangladesh isn't as small as Kuwait; goodness knows how many workers commit suicide or never return to their families (You notice how the listed suicides in the news are mostly expats?). You're assuming that everyone over there knows the situation. Who would pay to be enslaved, really? You're not being realistic, you're blaming the victims.

  • @TheGnomeNome Upholding the rights of the victims is key.

  • @Fooshiya The issue here is stopping the problem by respecting the rights of workers entering the country. Not ignoring the problem and having workers banned from entering the country. Nothing will change...

  • nice... i give u thumbs up for what u did but still, this is one side of the story

wer not angels and neither they, so this mini biography/documentary is kinda... mehhh .

doin such thing, u should show all sides and have us, viewers , decide.

  • @aawadh I appreciate you taking the time to watch our film. Thank you for commenting. I understand what you're saying. Portraying a point of view/perspective will undoubtedly cause opposing perspectives to question our neutrality. Their story needed to be communicated. It is always our aim to show a balanced point of view. We try hard to make sure this is the case in all our films.

  • @filmsculptor ur film does not show balance nor neutrality !

its one sided, u cant hold sides when doing this.

and btw, im a film director myself

  • @aawadh I'm honestly confused...What do you think the other side is? That they can't afford to pay them more? That they really, really want to provide them with better working conditions but just can't? That they're totally honest about the low pay when they convince them to come here?

  • @TheGnomeNome I appreciate you watching the film and commenting. You verbalise the thoughts that I have in my mind in a clear and direct way. Misleading workers entering the country is a major issue. Please continue to spread the word and discuss the issue with those that think otherwise - this is the only way we can move forward together ->

  • @aawadh the other side is you are in a nice warm house and they live in poverty, the bad bengalis that come here only come here because of these companies

whats happening today is pretty much modernized slavery

  • @TechnicalQ ok maybe i wasnt clear of what i meant, the other side... u showed how they been treated and what not, but there was a point where the translator mentions how everybody blames the bengalis for all the stealing, and other bad shit goin on. show the other side... police, and locals or whoever !!

and also who is lying to them and bringin em here, whos behind it here? and how its a business.

but then ur just asking for trouble... welcome to the film world !

  • @aawadh I respect your opinion. Both yourself and "TechnicalQ" have good points. We were under certain limitations and time constraints which prevented us from encompassing the scenes you mentioned. We wanted to express a perspective that is so often ignored from a people who seem "invisible" in Kuwaiti society.

  • can u please tell me where these guys live? i cant watch this video and not do anything about it, i really wanna help them and i mean it. so im gnna need ur help

  • @3322dide I appreciate your perspective and believe you speak the truth. It may be difficult but try listening to those you disagree with and tell them sincerely how you feel. We should be able to listen and express to those who may be listening. Even though you maybe one, you're pushing for change to come. V

  • Hope someone stand up for them

20 kd for a month do them nothing !

  • @kakbar10 We can stand up for them!

  • I'm so glad we can now see their point of view.

  • @foodistable Thank you for your support!

  • @ARZ8182 They didn't make a life choice of not getting educated, they couldn't afford getting an education. Therefore, they shouldn't "bare the consequences".

  • @foodistable dnt tell me because they are poor they couldnt get educated , many poor people work hard to get an education and in the end it pays off.

  • @foodistable I agree with you, we need to be patient with those we disagree with...

  • @ARZ8182 are you like dumb or something ? a non educated human get paid 20 KD per month give me a rule or a consequences that sais that

btw most of the kuwaity people are not educated and their beginning salary are 1000+ u call that fair? if udo then ur a fucked up guy ;)

  • @ahmadxxx89 there isnt anyone in kuwait who is not educated that has a salary of 1000+ . there isnt a rule but nowdays if u dont have an education u r somewhat worthless. and dnt tell me because they are poor they couldnt get educated , many poor people work hard to get an education and in the end it pays off. and please mind ur language.

  • @ARZ8182 hmm so what you telling me that if im poor i can work my ass off and study how? dude kuwait is unfair if you say its a fair country then..

  • @ahmadxxx89 Please be patient with one another. Be respectful to those you diagree with.

  • @filmsculptor dude did i even say shit to you? no! then stfu ;D

  • @ahmadxxx89 Please respect the views of others on this channel including myself. NO PROFANITY please or I will block you from adding comments in the future. There can be no dialogue or understanding between any of us if we choose to live in hatred.

  • @ARZ8182 Nobody chooses to be poor and suffer like this; get your head out of the sand, and stop acting like you actually earned everything you have because you were somehow smarter or better than these people. While you're at it, try growing a fucking heart (no, not going to mind my language). Hey, you chose to make stupid comments on a website with a commenting feature, you should bear the consequences of the reactions you get for being an ass.

  • @TheGnomeNome I respect your opinion and sympathise with your highly compassionate views but please keep Kosher.

  • @filmsculptor Sorry; I'll keep the profanity out of it.

  • @TheGnomeNome No worries. Thanks for your support!

  • We all know of these happening, but the hardest thing is to actually watch it and hear it. I think you courageous to do this and this is what art is, a capture of reality, a reality that we sometimes find difficult to admit and to face. Good luck.

  • @lazley Thank you for your support and your encouraging words, it inspires us!

  • amazing effort .. really .. proud of this .. why havent i heard of this till now? social media? you tube? mashalla .. well done ..

  • @devaruction Thank you very much "devaruction". We appreciate it. You have a good question. The film has been out for a while and has just been submitted to a film festival screening the film. We will put more of an effort into spreading the word. Please do let your friends know and thank you for your support. It's the inspiration for the next film. You CAN DO IT! - V-MAN
