  • Whoa David...I am very thankful to have been led to your wonderful blessed talent and gifts..I am Sarah Marie's mamacita...and, I am very happy that she has a friend in you..I am honoured to share you music down here in south of the south near Alcaniz and Baylen..wonderful awesome song..it should go viral...what a journey through your lyrics ,..a wonderful audio/visual!!

  • This sounds so American(a), and I say that in the most commendable way of saying that. I definitely see the immense influence he's has on Bright Eyes.

  • @Biverix Yeah, okay, I'm illiterate, fuck me.

  • Love ya Dave. Hope you're doing well on this day man.

  • David is Americana.Incredible vocal poet.Thankyou David.

  • Ha, yeah, more like Bright Eyes sounds like David Dondero, but he will never capture that intense emotion Conor did in his earlier work...or maybe he will, who knows?

  • @apicalmaristem

Hey yeah, come on, you're not serious are you? Their lyrical content is different, their musical delivery is night and day. Comparing him to Connor Oberst is like comparing Tesla to Edison to Franklin because they all dealt with electricity. On the surface of the conversation, yeah its passable, but any critical thought destroys the statement right away. Don't get me wrong, I like them both, but you should listen a little more.

  • I feel like 1,000 of the 11,436 views must have been just me :)

  • Going to see him on my birthday in SF on the 18th. He makes me miss the fuck out of Florida, too.

  • YAAA!!

  • still one ofmy favorite songs, heard it on npr in tampa they dont play it anymore though i think the developers did not take kindly to that Ybor observation, which is spot f ing on imo. Toska.

  • jeez this song really makes me miss living in florida.

  • @apicalmmaristem its one of conor oberst's biggest influences

  • Is it me or does this sound like Bright Eyes?

  • @apicalmaristem Yes, his voice, pedal steel, trumpets! Vey similar! Though it might have been produced by Mike Mogis but it dosnt look like it from what I can find online

  • The whole fucking album is excellent. I'm looking forward to the Seattle show in April.

  • Tunes Award Winner 2010

  • swamp turkey jerky

  • Wow... This is a really good song. Much respect to you Dondero.

  • A really fine tune.

  • I enjoy the images in this video. But also: i just watched Big Fat Liar on netflix watch instantly. What a great, feel good film. (frankie muniz is so talented, obviously) but I became very furstrated when i was watching it because it kept skipping and stalling, where it would skip a few frames and stutter and so on.

This video brings back all sorts of memories. From that time. So painful, still hurting. please no more skipping. let frankie speak.

  • super!

  • as many of his songs, this one is a beautiful and perfect description of the soul of a place

  • <3 it thanks.
