I fucking hate organized sports. It's all about money, commerce, and keeping people in a state of stupidity by caring about a bunch of monkees chasing a piece of vulcanized rubber around a hockey rink. Fuck you to this propaganda bullshit. But I suppose that most of you don't think this way because you're so politically correct and you choose not to see the propaganda at work. Fuck you.
Winnipeg got their team back. Why not Quebec City? I've been to Qc City recently many times and sure does have a lot of potential. Private businesses are thriving as you see there are so many people in shopping malls and they are building houses further north in Lebourgneuf area. Currently, construction surpasses Montreal easily. They have the people. They have a lot of loyal hockey fans. You do see Nordiques everywhere. They just don't have a up-to-date arena and a team.
Seeing this video makes me realize that Quebec City has such a tremedous potential (and will eventually happen in the next few years) for a new Nordiques team. Still waiting for the NHL to approve. Move the Predators!!!
From what everyone is saying if Atlanta would go back to Winnipeg
situation is having a team going into a town which does have capital, but you add having MTS arena which in NHL standards would be the smallest in the NHL
capacity is only 15 thousand, also Media the team it's self would have to be like Buffalo, and Nashville conserve money, also on players
people can be negative on my commetns idc
I am glad if this happens let them move back but question is will it last
I'm an Avs fan and have been since Sakic and Roy. I admire the heritage of the old Nordiques and I think it's only right that Quebec City gets a team again.
Quebec City's biggest advocate is Alexander Medvedev; he is a russian billionaire who wants to own an NHL team but only in Quebec City. Also, this report fails to realize that Quebec isn't attractive because of Quebec City only....it's attractive because of the whole province of Quebec. There are still Nordique fans throughout the province and bringing back a team there will solidify that base and in many ways add on to it.
Quebec City changed so much in the last 15 years. The situation has nothing in common with the last years of the Nordiques.
Also, this city is unique is North America. I bet many european players would like to play here. That's the closest you can get to Europe in North America.
@Theblob2k7 I completely agree with you here. Quebec City is indeed the most European city in all of North America and if the Nordiques were to return and draw all these European players, they would feel right at home. I think there should also be way more Canadian teams, there are a handful in our country with pretty significant populations and all follow hockey religiously. I feel so bad for the people that live there, we need more teams in locations where hockey is actually taken seriously.
it would also be good for the habs/nordiques rivalry to come alive again and it would be great for the quebec economy as you'll have montrealers and quebecers traveling back and forth to see games. it would be fun for both residents of quebec city and montreal.
Of course, quebec is the best hockey city with no team !
Just build a new arena and the team will be as succesful as the Montreal Canadien ! Believe me, if we can sale all the tickets at the Colisée Pepsi for a NHL prep-game in 25 minutes and winnipeg don't sale it at all... there is just no reason to expect another city before Quebec.

these are the only markets for expansion or relocation:
Definitely - Houston, KC, Seattle, Portland, Hamilton, Quebec
Maybe - Saskatoon, Oakland
thats it. Forget Hartford, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Indy, Regina, Las Vegas, 2nd Chicago team, 2nd Toronto team

@dpopie If any team moves to Quebec, it will be the Phoenix Coyotes.

As for Quebec also would be wonderful but until the Arena is made, i don't see it happening as of now
Also question for Hartford still playing at Hartford Civic center hence XLT center
Same place, just vamped up not going to Thrive the hippo-critical NHL board to lure em to come back
I am just a sports fanatic giving facts

Coyotes to Winnipeg and Thrashers to Quebec City. That would be the best situation. That would get rid of two of the most failing franchises.

Quebec City and Winnipeg are the 2 best cities to own a future hockey team. Go Nordiques! Go Jets!

were is the hamilton segment on this?

Hamilton was inline to be franchised from a AHL team to NHL
but it seems as of all the Media is going it's back to Manitoba, Winnipeg
To me as for a market Hamilton would be a better spot
