i also was woundering why did it have some 58 parts did it come that way. it is still the best car ever built i love the body style. i cant believe that you found a fury. love in that even in that shape i wish had one but i know (keep dreaming lolol).
i love that 57 fury. i been trying to find one since i was 8, now im 18 and havnt find one, but i havnt stop looking i found a 57 belevadere 2-door hard top and im still trying to talk the guy into selling it. if you know where any parts of a 57 or 58 in any shape for sale 2 door or 4 door let me know. i was also worging what did you do with the 240 speedo i would like to have it if its for sale. thanks kyle :)
well the song is not my style, I like old songs and rock songs but I still enjoyed it, the theme really fits well here, loved the vid and I think that having this car would be like a dream comming true to me
@Fradias11 This video is not my work, I found it on dailymotion a while ago. The original hat cool 50s music but was blocked on youtube due to copyright violations. This is why I had to replace it. "Bring me to life" was one of the well known songs offered by the youtube audio library and at least the title fits quite well...let's bring 'em back to life!
hey!!! do you remeber me? i'm Alex of Brazil....we talk sometimes ago about Plymouths....i bought this 2 cars in a junk yard right?....you inveted me to joint a cristine club...i would like your help.....i get a belvedere 58 and i need some parts haha
Most '58 Furys came in Buckskin Beige(You will notice this in the movie on the assembly line)However Chrysler would allow you to order a custom color to make the sale!('58 was a recession year).
I don't think the other cars in the opening scene are buckskin beige (check this photo: bit(dot)ly/mbSODf) but I'm sure the '58 Fury was only available in this color. Maybe they were people who let their dealers repaint the car when it was new but we've never seen a custom colored Fury from factory.
@AudioMobil Buckskin Beige with the beige/cocoa/gold interior was the only available color for the '58 Sport Fury. However, '58 models such as the Belvedere, Plaza, and Savoy DID come in a red option - so the red paint was available, but you'd have to know/bribe someone with some HEINOUSLY SERIOUS power at Chrysler to get both a red exterior and interior on a standardized assembly line. So, not completely impossible, but about 99.99% improbable.
ya know...if it wasn't for that movie...id like this car...but the movie Fucked me up on it... Terrible something that will never happen has that effect on a person..lol
Never was much a 58 Plymouth fan, but over the years the car got more and more attractive. And the movie Christine turned the car into a prized collectible. Nice job!
Great video of the Plymouth restoration, but couldn't handle the music had to turn it off, not my style I found it very irritating., otherwise very good.
The original soundtrack was deleted by youtube so I took a track from the youtube audio swap library. I think "Bring me to life" doesn't fit too bad at all...:-)
hoi we kennen mekaar heb nog in uw christine gezeten in Oostrozebeke en je bent er naar mijn meeting meegeweest in brugge grt steve, wou dat ik die gekocht had
my dad was going to buy one of these for £800 a good few years back, it was white and gold on the curb in London. He had the £800 and the bloke wouldn't sell because someone had already left a deposit, a few weeks later it was still there, then it was gone. My guess is that London council came and picked it up because it was at the side of the road with now tax or anything. Shame because we would have a fury :(
I found this video on dailymotion about a year ago. It contains photos of the Swiss junkyard Fury and another Fury from France + photos and videos of restored cars. He did a very good job on this one! The Fury from Switzerland is a parts car only, it's too far gone to make it worth restoring...
Hi, is it still online on dailymotion? I searched for it some time ago but couldn't find it anymore. Very cool video, I bought the 57 Fury from the junkyard in Switzerland... :-)
I'm afraid she's really too far gone to be restored. The car almost broke apart when pulled from the trailer. She will donate her useable parts and end up as decoration in my backyard... :-)
@AudioMobil Its Sad but true you can't save them all you have too kill 3 or 4 of them too save one for the NOS parts during the retoration better too save some of them than none at all. Sad story with a Happy ending well she will be helping too save some of them for her death glad you saved her from the crusher now she will rest in peace in your back yard.
