i dont understand why singapore airlines uses there a380 ofr shorter routes and this is a way longer route and they end up using a 747

@MyPilot747 sometimes it's becos of the passenger density of the flights? While it would be reasonable to argue that longer flights should be handled by the A380, let's not forget the A380 can carry more passengers than the 747 so using it for high density flights might be the reason for flying shorter routes

yeah I agree totally. Boeing's planes are far more unstable than Airbuses. I mean an A320 feels better than a B777!!!!!

the wingtips help make the wing more efficient by stopping air flow from flipping over to the bottom of the wing and cancelling out the lift it just made..

on average it saves between 4-6% of fuel as well..

I did this flight a couple of times from Frankfurt Main. But i do prefer to take the A340 because the A340 is actually smoother & it doesn't make that much noise. I hope the follow up for the B747 will be better... I just feel more comfortable in an Airbus & more stressed in a Boeing.

Its called Vortex and that was a Malaysian A330 as it has wing tips and the trip 7 does not

They are actually called winglets or wing fences. Wing tips are the tips of the wing, lol.
