  • @racerdbo, wat day and wat time?

  • @TheHyperkid97 like at 1 and 2 am

  • this show is on cmt. by the way

  • great show, to bad they had to use so many chargers

  • How the feck did Rossco not die every episode landing on his roof!?

  • Charger OHOY!

  • anyone noticed the general lee and the police car had exactly the same sound?!?!?

  • @david6403406 same V8

  • I've got vague memories of reading somewhere that the stunt coordinator Paul Baxley did that jump. He had a suspension harness linked to a rollcage - to reduce the risk of breaking his back on landing.

  • They destroyed nearly 400 of these cars, just in this show....how sad.

  • I liked the part where they jumped over the train.

  • That is totally against transport regulations to have unsecured barrells stacked up on a flat bed.

  • you can see where they got an exhaust leak after the manifold

  • LOL the police car tryed to be a general lee!!!!

  • does anyone know the names of the stunt men?

  • @peterparkerlovesmj my uncle dan he is the stunt men on these car showe. he say they use over 20 differnt geral lee as they duke boy they crash so many of these car that they heve to use more than one car to make the serie. this stunt like most of them is film use the modele cars as this is to dangeros to use the real poeples ;=-)

  • @marshalllucky I think your lying. One reason is your spelling is horrible.

  • @XYtruck25 my aunt, she is very sick

  • @marshalllucky learn to spell

  • @DJDUBED my aunt, she is very sick ;-(

  • :12 is my favorite jump footoage on the show.

  • Damn That Barrel flew Further Than The General Lee!

  • Temper Temper Roscoe LOL 0;52 Seconds

  • Does any notice besides me that Roscoe got out of the back of the car?

  • Check out my video called " Return to Hazzard County GA 2010" its before and after pictures of the famous dukes of hazzard sites as of june 2010

  • hell yeah awsome, u made my day hoss

  • my fave show however look at the 1st jump in the rail yard and when then land its in country , still its a bad ass show

  • by god, they had the weighting right to make that mopar fly like it did but still im glad i didnt land it, you can see just before the cut how much it bent but these guys (remember) took out the worlds longest jump also...(the river jump in season one) hats off to the real pro's, no computer grafix here!!!!

  • What a great show. Such fond memories of being "young" again! OH, and I just couldn't help but laugh at when Roscoe wiped-out, the sound of the engine is the SAME as when the General flew through the air! HAHAA! Must both have 440's in 'em?! Just happened to notice. Dubbing! Made me laugh. Simple and great tv that I miss. YEE HAW my Dukes friends here on Youtube! We'll keep it alive!

  • ahahahahaha Rosco P. Coltrane :-D dangerous to himself :-D ...but was the best :-) ...thanks for this video :-) Luca, Italia

  • i liked thee show very much 'till i found out that they destroyed more than 200 of these beautiful dodges

  • @overdriven77 try 310 dodge charger ranging from 68 top 69, and 587 police cars.lol

  • @generalleegoku umm 68' to 71' actualy, depends on the shot needed

  • @MON383 no. they never used 70 chargers and up

  • cooter must have gotten really good at changing ball joints

  • @ 0:21 That Charge got tips from Christine ! A wreck after landing but brand new on the next scene, I love Hollywood!!

  • i got this old game for the ps1

  • The Background fake

  • when there talking about to jump the engine sounds awsome

  • this is why the original dukes of hazzard is the best

  • haha your car would be so fucked, this is one of the best shows ever made

  • ok mr spac8 yes most of the times after a jump a car is done but not always if still believe in it then how do you explain the baja trucks the get put through a lot more than the chargers did

  • anyone kno the name of the music? or song?

  • What a waste of good cars. These chargers are worth a small fortune now here in Australia. Same thing happened to our late 60s 70s muscle cars.. Good ones are fetching 2-3 hundred thousand dollars with GT falcons fetching close to a million..

  • Thanks to this show the Charger is worth what it is. The car became popular thus more valuable because of the Dukes just as Smokey and The Bandit made the Trans Am more valuable.

  • @DarknightOTC Good point Dark. I was beginning to fell sympathetic for those charger fans for having to see so many wrecked in movie stunts, but the show is responsible for the cars popularity.

  • @boofheadrules - this is true but back in 1979 when the show went on air these were cars that were getting past their prime, many unfit for the road and going for scrap anyway. The same happens to any car through its life cycle, it gets to a point where demand is far outnumbered by availability and repairs cost more than the car is worth. The loss of so many Chargers makes the remaining ones worth so much, same with any old car.

  • yeah but the doors were welded shut

  • anyone else notice the door handles

  • Comment removed

  • well no shit the cars r done after the jumps, you even see the crunch of the body, it would tale extensive body work and frame work to even save one of those cars, the patrol car, it would take alot more to cave in the roll cage, i have the dukes of hazzard companion and they even said no 70 chargers were used because how much bigger the back quarter panels were. it was excactly 310 chargers were used during the show. all 68 and 69 chargers, thats what it said in the book.

  • the crew is visebal at 0:20

  • hey dude they used 68, 69 and 70's they just back-dated them or up-dated them to be a 69. so shut you mouth generalleegoku

  • poor rosco them duke boys always out-jump him, but im fraid you just cant beat em at that

  • first of all they never used 70 dodge chargers it was only 68 and 69, second of all those roll cages they put in the car they r double 12 point rollcageds. it would take a wrecking ball to hurt them

  • Look, no matter what, this car would not drive after any of the jumps, no way, it doesn't matter about the body, but the suspension would have collapsed, rear axle would have grounded out and cracked or snapped.

And they DID use some '70 Chargers, I've got it in black and white in a book about them.

  • i like how rosco just gets out and kicks the car like almost nothing happened, not even a bloody nose. ha ha you have to love the dukes.

  • Greatest tv show ever made!!

  • @wildbaldmonkey now tv is all explosions sex and special effects and violent crap.

back then the computers could not do stuff they do now. then it was damn right real no special effects (expet rosco and enos crahing) god bless all the dukes of hazard cast

  • This video is proof that airbags are a waste. :)

  • Rosco Pie colt Train Doo!

  • the general's leel engine is begging for mercy. OH MY GOD!!!!

  • At :21 you can see a camara mad behind some boxes. and a bit of Dukes history..worst injuries during the entire series while performing stunts was a broken thumb and a cracked rib. Only death occured while filming back ground shots- it was not stunt related

  • how the hell did Rosco not die in these weekly crashes? lol

  • yeeeah american classic :D

  • No car in TV history flew as sweet as The General Lee, well, maybe KITT!! :)

  • LOL u can see the film crew

  • if you google justin tv they have a dukes channel 24/7 dukes episodes yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee haw

  • Poor Rosco.

  • yeah, that cameraman has BALLS OF STEEL!

  • at :21 look behind the barrels, its the camera crew :P

  • @REDNECKDUKEBOY good eye

  • @REDNECKDUKEBOY good eye

  • @REDNECKDUKEBOY how do u know it was the camera crew?

  • @pikachugirl254

i saw a behind the scene thing one day and they showed this.

  • @pikachugirl254 it was autograph hunters really

  • @REDNECKDUKEBOY not to mention that while they drive its always the same scenario lol.

  • One of the best 'General jumps. And you've got to give Roscoe his credit, too: the man has seen almost as much air-time as the Dukes.

  • just not as much land-time

  • Ya, according to Ben and James Best (Rosco), there was actually never an account of a 1970 Dodge Charger used in production (the rear was harder to modify for '69 specs), and barely ANY of the chargers used were R/T's, though a few have been seen. Mostly 383's and 318's went to waste, but they were expendable I guess (that, and the car wasn't a collector's piece at the time :P)

  • it was a 68 charger not a 70

  • You didn't read correctly, I said THERE WAS NEVER an account of a 70 Charger on the show, and the General Lee was a 1969, not a 1968 charger.

  • I spoke with the stuntmen at Dukes fest. They had several 70 Chargers thru the run of the show. they simply modified them to look like 69s just like they modified 68s to look like 69s

  • Ii cry when i see a Charger being written off.

  • thats when they cut back on shit and went to crap renactments of them jummpin

  • This is one of my all time fav Genaral Lee jumps

  • What's that locomotive at 0:11 and 0:40?

  • probly an alco

  • How much money were they spending on car repairs????

  • nothing, right to the scrapyard

  • I wish i could do that... buy a brand new Audi, crash it a s you please in outrageous stunts to impress the ladies, then simply get another new one!!!!

  • i love the charger R/T CLASSIC BABY!

  • i think that one cracked the exhaust :S

  • lol

  • yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • they wasted so many nice cars

  • Yes they did but that also enabled dodge to sell more of them

  • thats is plain awesome, real jump, not some CGI shit these days.

  • Oh yeah I love that show! That stunt was one of my favorites, what's so funny is on the original biggest jump ever you can see the camera attached to the side of the car but hey as long as the stunt's great I don't care!

Thanks for showing me this Len

  • If you look at 0:21 you can see the camera crew hiding behind the barrels...

  • What is that Train switcher at 0:40.

  • No it wouldn't, fucker. Nothing can beat pure American muscle.

  • lol your RX7 is a fuckin Cat, Charger69' is a a Lion compared to your shit.

  • gotta love them duke boys!!!

  • You dumb cop! No one can make a jump like that except the Duke boys! lol

  • if u watch carefully and know how to pick it out u see that the charger isent moving at all

  • a charger is a good restoration investment!!

  • I always liked how the Chargers folded and crumpled like tissue paper on the landing in the show but then they cut back to the cheesy close up car with the actors in it like nothing happened.

  • have you seen the 2008 dodge challenger? its definetly got a muscle car look to it

  • HEEEHAA :-) lol

  • Zach is partially correct. However total number of cars actually used is 235 any other figure is purely a guess.235 is the correct number of cars actually owned by WB as per someone who has research this subject over 20 years. Also true is the fact that these cars were only ten years old at the beginning of the series and were a dime a dozen by todays standards. They weren't a very collectable car back then, nobody bad mouthing the destruction of these car seems to understand that point.

  • i personally saw a 69 and a 70 go to the scrapyard they were both /6 cars..total production is around 900?? i think..ive also seen around 20 here in ny that are rotted beyond hope..chargers are gettin scarce

  • i used to have tons of those cars,i was SO lucky to be a teenager in those days, never again will the musclecars rule the earth...Mopar all the way,and if you get the chance to save a musclecar do it now, before they are all gone !!

  • its still saddening

  • abuse of chargers sucks, those cars rule. They destroyed 400 making the show, sad stuff.

  • actually it was 321, and there was somewhere around 11,000 made, although the point still stands, its funny how no one cares about the cop cars

  • I totally agree with you.

  • i cry every time i see a charger be destroyed

  • Nothing more beautiful in the world then an old dodge charger.

  • pause at 21 and look behind the boxes youll see a camrea man

  • this is why the dukes of hazzard kicks ass

  • that first jump just makes your jaw drop. .they dont do stunts like THAT anymore. .

  • LMAO omg they dont make shows like this anymore HAHAHA

  • i love the origonal show!!!! the movie (which i didnt want to or see ) just made it look thashy, it was a disgrace to all duke fans!

  • the dodge charger is my favorite car ever!!!

  • That Roscoe has more lives than a litter of cats.

  • So does the General.. ;)

  • it was on cmt but originaly made in 1983.

  • the origianal name of the movie is THE DUKES OF HAZZARD and its not a movie its a old series 2 or 3 years ago it was on the CMT channel

  • what is the name of the original movie?

  • sweet.0.21,lots of damage.they must of wreck alot of cars for all those jumps

  • poor rosco.

  • crazy moonshine boys.

  • LoL... the cars sounds just the same xD

  • why can't rosco just hit a jump without crashing first

  • look at 00:20 you can see a camara man just as they land the general lee

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

    lllllllllllllllllllllll

  • i think he meant that in the story flash was in the car

  • Besides this jump over the train wasn't there another jump over a train? Does anybody know what show title or season it was?

  • In the 2nd video clip where Rosco flips his car. Was his dog Flash...also in the car ?

    PETA

  • na, i think this was before Rosco had Flash actually.

  • Nice chemtrail at 0:17.

Were they already there in the '70s?...

  • i heard there was a commercial break between the point where general lee was in mid-flight over the train, and when it showed the camera view after the train. But when i watched the episode, i found no such commercial break. odd...

  • YEEEEHAAAWW!!Go Bo,GO!!!

  • i love the granny annie jumps at the beginning

season 2 was a great season

  • cool

  • jaja

  • Man, never knew Rosco had it that bad when he tried to make that jump over the train!

  • That was a hurrangous crash!

  • Now that was a goo jump!
