@CaptainDope Even as far as heroic encounters go... he's not that hard. Now if were pugging it, yes we will fail because pugs are afflicted with uncontrollable mental retardation. But as for guild progression, we full cleared ToC on heroic every week, after only progressing for 2 weeks, and we weren't any kind of hardcore guild. And yes, this was prior to ICC obviously.

Depends on what your role is, really depends on how hard this fight is for you. For us healers, this isn't the hardest fight ever. However there is a lot of raid damage going on especially at the end from pen cold.

To anyone blaming blizzard:

Remember winter is coming, u cant expect to keep ppl attached to the pc's with such an easy instance till next spring comes.

I am pretty sure they are going to release a new continent with harder raids (and more complex, they put no efforts in TOTC since there is always the same arena for all bosses), and in order to play any instance in there, u will need to be AT LEAST 25 man geared in TOTC.

Mm the blue stuff looks like a sort of "frost trap" slowing debuff.

It's permafrost, that's coming from frost spheres that are being shot down by ranged dps, permafrost keeps anub'arak from burrowing (phase2) and avoiding 'chasing spikes'.

Also spikes cant penetrate permafrost so if he does go down, be sure to keep raid on top of it.

It appears to me that the true strat for this fight is as follows:

1) spin in circles really fast

2) pick up a bat

3) walk disorianted towrds the giant beatle

4) swing wildly hopeing to not hit your friends with the bat

5) pick up the purple candies

keep the mobs tanked up while the dps focuses on doing damage on anub'arak.....

when anub'arak goes underground the person that is being chased need to stay away from the others and keep running from the spikes until he select a new person to do the same thing.....

the dps kills the mobs that are around....

and just repeat this process....

I agree with FireInTheLaundry, this 25 man is just the normal version, sort of on the same lvl as naxx 25 and ulduar 10 (normal modes, not hard modes). When the heroic version comes out it will test most guilds. The bosses will have added attacks, and obviously more health to burn.

actually they should not gain any new abilities, but they will gain more damage and health as far as things go. the fights in normal show that most fights are a joke strategically, but when damage is brought up it could do close to twice the damage that normal does which makes it more healing intensive and increasing raid awareness

The whole instance is a joke so far, even normal version should me medium hard and its just freakin easy. Anyway the whole idea of the raid is like :

- Lich king armies are 10 times the size of ours and grow stronger every day, but we still have too many soldiers, and might stand a chance against them what should we do?

All I can say is they better not @#$% up Icecrown Citadel or at the very least make the Lich King an actual challenge. This vid was almost painful for me to watch. (Practically the same boss fight copypasta'd)

Funny thing is, I have a lot of people in my guild who are going to quit WoW as soon as they see or fight the Lich King in Icecrown and experience the events after the fight. I know a few people in my guild who quit right after experiencing this fight on PTR kinda like Taurusaud did.
