I really need this to make plans of my models. I've exported a .dwg from 3ds Max and tried doing what this tut says but it doesn't do anything besides give me this message- "There are no solids or surfaces that can be projected".
If anyone can shed any light I'd be massively grateful?
I'm new at AutoCAD but I don't quite understand something. Why, if I already have a 3D model of a building and surface, would I want to flatten it to add dimensions. And why would I create a copy of the building in another location. I come from a civil engineering background and I would want my coordinates to remain the same as the site. My thoughts.
This is a great demo however it will be great help if you would show how to add the section plane panel to the home tab. there is a lot of help and explanation but a as they say a picture worth a thousand words. Well a video is worth a thousand pictures
THANK YOU!

Doesn't work well for me in perspective view. When I try to put some measures, I notice that the drawing has become smaller than the original 3d.
I've tried to change the UCS to view. No avail so far.
The only thing that I did that woked (a little) so far, is scaling it to 1.225.
