  • Great Soundtrack, GREAT MOVIE!

  • TOP Movie!! Top Soundtrack!!

John Carpenter ist einer der besten :)

  • Simple, elegant and classic!

This and Warriors are an excellant view into a fantasy gang world set in a dystopia setting. The music here and in the warrior capture it brilliantly. JC was way ahead of his time.

A real tribute to Rio Bravo in a modern setting!

  • John Carpenter surely has a great ability to compose good music for movies. His theme of the 1978 horror classic Halloween is another example. Actually, I had no idea that he composed the music for this film until about eight or nine years ago. Neat music and video! I had the DVD for this.

  • @kenpalmer1965 I agree with you completely, and i would add that i just listened to the soundtrack for the 05 remake, and it was dreadful compared to this

  • reminds me of Donkey Kong Country.

    Snes, of course

  • This and The Thing both films are brilliant.

  • the best piece of music ever made

  • I thought the part when he shot the little girl was so brutal, but I understand why they did it. Shows the brutality of our nature. I love the theme song though! Escape From New York was another Carpenter classic. Love it!

  • @prizum81 the girl/ice cream scene was actually a lesson to all...dont complain about a mix up with your food/order. in most cases you will just get a lougie in return...but this girl got a bullet.

watch "they live" by john carpenter, it has a hidden truth to it that most people dont think twice about

  • awesome theme, and incredibly easy to play on piano (put it only sounds good with a synthesizer)

  • go on Soundcoud and check out what the Stanton Warriors did with this at Notting Hill Carnival ;-)

  • sounds like something you'd hear in the old Doom games :)

  • This is a re-recorded version released by Silva Screen Records (now Silva America) in 1993, performed by Daniel Caine. He just cleaned it up, prob w/digital gear. Great track though.

  • best director and best musician. hell yeah...

  • this movie fuckin rocks. so does pretty much all his movies.

  • this movie fuckin rocks.

  • Sinister, menacing...and nerve shredding !!!

    ............killer soundtrack !!!

  • This is such a cool track. The type that you'd play while driving.

  • Carpenter is a fuckin' genius, how simple is this track, and how much more powerful than a lot of orchestral scores, especially nowadays?

  • One of my favourite films.

  • Hey. This is regular vanilla... I wanted vanilla twist. *PEW* best scene evar.

  • Terrific theme. One of the greatest ever, spartan but so menacing and sinister.

  • Carpenter's minimalist musical scores gave so much character to his movies.

  • wheres the rasberry twist bang do you want a cherry with that?

  • i love this song best soundtrack and film next to halloween

  • WHY WHY WHY WAS I BORN IN THE 90'S?!?! D:

  • @Boid55

    Because you're awesome!!

  • @Boid55 i know how you feel, what good things came out of the 90's ?????????

  • @nayzomarsh10 Many many good things but i wish i was around back in this day :(

  • @Boid55 for me the 90's were pretty bad i didnt like the music or the clothes (thats when i look back, at the time i didnt realise)

  • @nayzomarsh10 The 90's was just like the 80's a very good decade. It's worse these days, the last 4-5 years has been really poor on good movies.

  • @BrenMcGuire1 thats kind of what i mean you know, early 90's were fine but like you said, i probably mean late 90's early 2000's that were lacking in all departments

  • @nayzomarsh10

The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump etc

    Thats about it lol

  • @CovePointProductions probs yeah lol

  • give me goosebumps...

  • killer piece of music

  • Love this music!! AND the film....

  • yes

  • Minimalistic and very good. Ahead of time too...

  • I second your latter remark. Thoroughly impressive!
