  • Great choice. I have one for my glock 19 and love it. Well worth the money. Stop by and check out my 5 glock modification video on my channel.

    Glock n Load,

    Mike

  • @videosbymike Thanks Mike and I have to agree the lasermax is an excellent tool. I watch your videos often and enjoy them very much. Since you disable the comments you cant see that I stopped by. Great channel

  • @TheFireArmGuy when will you make a video shooting with the guide rod laser??

  • @JUKEBOXX1990 Ok this weekend for sure

  • @TheFireArmGuy thank you i want to buy this but am not sure how durable the laser is thats why i ask for you to shoot it..thanks again

  • @JUKEBOXX1990 No doubt bud cause they are expensive. I have shot with it already but didnt make a vid. For sure this weekend

  • They're nice, but I found two issues with Lasermax on my G27: First, whenever I'd go to the range, I found that after several rounds the recoil from my Glock would knock the laser on. Also, I found that in my both my Crossbreed and Galco holsters when I'd sit down the rails would slide to one side causing it to turn on & drain my battery. I've since installed the CT Laserguard on my G27. It has an off button for range firing and no accidental ons. I had to get new holsters, but worth it.

  • @sblackwell621 Yeah I thought about that scenario and that would be a major drawback. I havent carried the G27 since I installed the lasermax but will be watching it carefully so that the levers dont get accidentally pushed and wear out my battery. Thanks for sharing that

  • @sblackwell621 It sounds like you may have installed that small internal spring improperly. There is a notch that clicks when it's pushed to the off position and shouldn't move due to any vibration, or holstering. Take it out again and reinstall to make sure everything is seated properly. I've had mine on my 27 for quite a while and pushing side to side takes a little effort to free it from the safety notch and maybe yours is moving too freely. Try it cause you have nothing to lose.

  • Awesome like it ,+ I just entered the 2012 offical NRA Sweepstakes ,10 priizes in all to win ,Top one 10 collection extraordinary Firearms. So im hope to win just might need your help to sight them in for me ,lololo, just kidding ,But it is helping to fight for our 2 amendment right ,& trying to stop International gun control treaty ,Keep up the great work my friend & ty ,

  • @bluetunder40 Now that was a great comment and I appreciate it. I just renewed my NRA membership for 2 yrs and glad I did. Im tired of these liberal lawmakers pretending they can break the constitution at will. Good luck in the sweepstakes

  • @TheFireArmGuy I 've had the same 27 in OD green for about 3 years and been using the lasermax guide rod sight for about a year. I carry almost every day in a safariland shoulder holster or DeSantis belt holster with no problem so far and don't expect any hopefully. I believe you get what you pay for and should buy the best sight you can as well as a quality holster. Once you go to the cheap you only cheat yourself. By the way, Safariland made good for a holster that didn't hold up after 21yrs.

  • @TheFireArmGuy how does the new guide rod and spring hold up??and is it steel??

  • @JUKEBOXX1990 The spring seems to be fine. Its pretty identical to the original Glock spring and the laser sight has held up well so far

  • @TheFireArmGuy do you carry it..how reliable is this after say 200 rounds??im looking at this and the crimson trace

  • @JUKEBOXX1990 I havent carried it much lately but will more in the winter. The CT has a stronger brighter laser but may need adjustment every so often. The laser max is installed and maintainence free. Many other people have said that after thousands of rounds it still works fine. I just havent put it through my gun yet. I can say after a couple hundred, its still good as new

  • can you zero them?

love my crimson trace laserguard! plus its cheaper then the lasermax.

  • @f8talh8red No you cannot zero them. There are no adjustments that are available to make. I actually paid nowhere near the retail price but you are right. CTs are way cheaper

  • @TheFireArmGuy

i still really like the looks and the idea, but i dont like that you cant zero them and you have to flick a switch. the little button on the ct's are sweet.

cool purchase though, just too expensive with less features for my blood.

  • @f8talh8red I guess it depends on how much you care about where the laser sight is located. Personally I like them both but dont currently have a CT

  • @TheFireArmGuy

    good point! and great review!

  • Huh thanks for sharing I always wondered how they worked

  • @WickedKlown10mm They are simpler than I even imagined. They better be for the price of these things

  • very cool vid bro. I have seen them before and wondered if they would hold up. Let me know how it works out.

  • @hk45shooter Thanks bro. Many people have commented with more experience with these than I have and said that they were built to last. Havent heard a bad report yet of a guide rod laser not being able to withstand the pounding of a heavy round

  • Nice job... I have been considering trying one, thanks for showing!

  • @GUNQUEST21 Anytime bro and if you will be using on a Springfield, they are about $100 less

  • so true...on the fence on a laser here in ny...have conflicting arguements from my lawyer friend...one would proscute me for using it...states that it would turn the gun into a far greater theat...I know right...the other thinks its a great idea to lessen the chance of stray shoots

  • @str8jacket07 Your lawyer friend is right about both things -- yes it would lessen the chance of stray shots, and yes it would turn the gun into a far greater threat (to the BAD GUYS). Only in NY and CA and MA is that a bad thing. Sorry :-(

  • @diskeed My thoughts exactly. Those states with liberal lawmakers drive me nuts

  • I got one for my girlfriend's XD-9 subcompact that she carries. You are correct in that they are unobtrusive and easy to install. They require no holster modification at all. They all have a pulsating laser as opposed to a constant beam to extend battery life.

  • @redlegagent Not only that but the Springfields go about $100 cheaper

  • From what I understand lazermax delayed production for the gen 4 due to some of the issues that glock was having. I wrote the company last year and they told me that they were anticipating glock making internal changes to iron out the kinks. They were waiting the final outcome before releasing the lazer.

  • @CTKTMRIDER Thats good info bud and I appreciate it. I didnt know how lasermax stood on the issue

  • Just do like I do guys, eat Ramen so you can afford more guns,LOL!

  • @BUZZKILL59able Clearly the response of a single man lol

  • @TheFireArmGuy That does help!Great video man!

  • @BUZZKILL59able Thanks bud.

  • @BRANDONakaBIGPAPA It will be if it lasts a long time. If not its a POS

  • Awesome, I had a crimson trace on my 27 at one time, and I did not like how it changed the dimensions of the grip. I like how the lasermax is used. Pretty damn sweet.

  • @pjicleanair420 I agree and thats why the guide rod system wells so well. Some of the CTs also require a different holster too

  • Its a great little addition to the G27. But $350 holy cow. I can nearly buy another firearms with that. Thanks for sharing

  • @prchico520 $350 is the retail price. I paid a lot less than that locally

  • I like the principle, just that I am using a DPM recoil reduction guide rod spring system for my M&P 357c. So, not willing to replace that for their setup, plus they do not even make one for M&P Compacts at all. Go figure...

  • @VeracityNation I didnt know that so you are excused lol

  • looks really good. i heard someone that they act up after firing it for a while have you had a chance to fire it?great video by the way thanks for shareing.

  • @elmajiko420 I have not fired with it yet but if you look at the comments the opposite opinion is shared

  • @TheFireArmGuy thanks. i hadnt read that sounds like they are more rugged than i thought. im gonna have to get one of these for my g22 i like how it doesnt add much to the wepon. i dont have to get new holsters to accomodate for a laser sight.

  • Great Video I had one when i had a Glock 30, Worked like a charm. Easy to operate.

    God Bless

    Semper Fi

  • @IraqiSniper107 Seems like those who had em love em. God Bless

  • Nice vid, thanks. I've been using the guide rod laser for quite a while now, they really are sweet. And they stand up to all the pounding the gun gives them, no problem. Ain't cheap as you mentioned, but I prefer them over the exterior models (which have one advantage -- continuous beam). All Glocks turn on/off the same way, via the slide lock (not to be confused with the slide stop). Other brands turn on/off by different methods. Hey, enjoy your new laser!!

  • @diskeed I am happy that you said they stand up to the pounding the gun gives them. That is the main question that people here, and myself, was wondering. From what I can tell this setup is a winner and really looking forward to testing it out

  • Do they have Gen. 4 models available yet?

  • @CTKTMRIDER Arent the guide rod and springs the same with the gen 4s?

  • cool piece of kit.... $350 is a hell of a price though!

  • @MrJmfitch Yeah thats the retail price. I didnt pay that much

  • @TheFireArmGuy Wow... there was a used G27 that had one of these in it at the gun store.... they were asking practically nothing extra for the lazer. I should have taken them up on that one

  • @MrJmfitch Would have been a great score. Many people who have more experience than I do with these have said that they can take the pounding of high caliber guns with no problem

  • I am interested in that. I have Crimson trace on my G17 but the laser is up along side the slide and would be a problem in an emergency slide operation.

  • @MrM2hb In that case, lasermax is your ticket. Wouldnt even know its there

  • cool

  • @jmmurdy Thanks man

  • wow thats cool....i shoudl get one....let us know after you range test it just to be sure

  • @23mrcowboys Sure will bud. I have ideas running through my head constantly

  • Very nie upgrade. Now you have given me a reason to spend more $. Thanks for the review.

  • @MakingMasterClass Unfortunately our hobby/passion requires constant money flow

  • I always wondered how the fuck you turned those damn things on. That thing is sweet man!

  • @FireArmsResQ Yeah it sure is and couldnt be simpler

  • @TheFireArmGuy

I might need one of these for my 1911. The 1911 circa sights are god awful =P

  • Thanks for the info. Good to see a real review instead of the ads in magazines. I thought this was gimmicky, but since you put down your hard earned cash, I appreciate the view. Can you field test it in a vid?

  • @enriquesonora1500 Thanks bud and you can bet that I will do a shooting vid with this laser sight

  • What powers the laser? Thanks

  • @Albee4ty5 A battery inside the guide rod

  • @TheFireArmGuy Replaceable battery I am assuming?

  • @NiceNineMillimeter Where are you getting 1000 rds of 9mm? Im tired of buying a couple boxes a time

  • @HYDE43210 I actually thought about that as I wrote that comment

  • I really like how they integrated the on/off switch into the takedown lever.

  • @hugo2x Yeah its pretty amazing. Im impressed

  • They have the same guide rod for the Glock 20. My only question is how long do you think it will last? Im scared it entire be able to handle the constant shooting pressure of the 10mm.

  • @GunzEveryWhere Thats a good question and honestly, I dont know. Ive thought about the same thing however LaserMax would sure have a lot of complaints if it couldnt endure

  • @HYDE43210 Yeah man so far I love it. Ive been playing with it for two days now.

  • Nice

  • @Rock3t138 Thanks bud

  • prefer this style compared to pressure based activation...ie crimson trace???

  • @str8jacket07 I have nothing against Crimson Trace but I did choose this over CT

  • Nice upgrade bro! Check out my new vids. Thanks friend.

  • @dudespin I watched all four earlier today. Nice field stripping and re-assemblies

  • THATS PRETTY SHARP...

  • @TheJackyBear Thanks man - It works great
