  • How'd you connect the line array to the PM4K? Did you use the matrix or just the Stereo Out? Great vid and mix!

  • What's the name of this song?

  • @nelydk Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old) by Garth Brooks

  • Do your thing, man. i know you can't reproduce the exact sound that is at the venue, but I guess it would sound awesome. BTW, How old is the PM4K? What outboard processors were you using, Like gates and comps?

  • @Iriebent i dont remember. probably drawmer or bss comps gates, but i didnt use much. just gates on toms. that pm4k, not sure how old. probably 15+.

  • PM4K WOHOO!!

  • let me guess, this is one of those old yamaha consoles right, or am i way off. i think ive used this one before for theatre.

  • wow, good to see the PM4000 still in use. I thought they went the way of the dinosaurs.

  • @JonHawaii2003 i believe analog will make its way back once day. look at dave rat. whats he using? his xl4's, right?

  • @jjdrummerboy I always liked analog stuff. I ran a Ramsa WR-S840 monitor console for years, it made sense. The newer consoles just don't seem user friendly and IMO don't sound as warm as analog. We had a PM3000 FOH console and ran 32 Claire S-4's. They could handle anything from Sting to Metallica to James Taylor. If you knew how to EQ the system it sounded AMAZING. But man was it a pain to fly. Them damn bumpers. But they were a lot easier than flying Hill M3 cabinets.

  • Why on earth would you deploy a PM4000 and not use VCAs? Sounds terrible btw.

  • @ephelduath606

Didn't want to use the vca's. ofcourse it sounds terrible! it was recorded on a cheap ass digital camera with video capabilities! DUH!

  • @jjdrummerboy It's not the camera I'm talking about.

  • @ephelduath606 -Since you can't tell this was a simple recording which was probably done with a camera on video mode I suppose it makes sense that you can't hear that the mix is actually pretty decent. Everyone besides you understands this recording was not direct from the board nor recorded with any set up geared towards fidelity yet you're the one that states it "sounds terrible" -you've just lost all credibility due to stupidity and rudeness

  • @MightySaturn5 One man's "decent" is another man's "shit." Never are both men right.

  • @ephelduath606 Rofl and usually there are 6 people going i can do better than that

  • good too see the faders being used, unlike the "zero mixing" technique! would have sounded great!

  • How did it sound?

I have no idea from watching this video

  • @tolley1466

    it sounded awsome!

  • Is this a allen and heath board?

  • @MygigProductions

    read the video info.

  • chad is this you mixing

  • no its me. but i know a chad. :)

  • Good job mixing dude.

  • Which boxes were you using?

  • yeah i think this is a qsc from what it says in the discription the song is neat also i like it

  • i like the way this sounds so clean the vertec and qsc are the best in my opinion

  • yeah i couldnt believe it either. camera was some little bit handheld digital camera. sry, but i dont know what brand though. but yeah, great freakin soundin system!
