Do your thing, man. i know you can't reproduce the exact sound that is at the venue, but I guess it would sound awesome. BTW, How old is the PM4K? What outboard processors were you using, Like gates and comps?
@jjdrummerboy I always liked analog stuff. I ran a Ramsa WR-S840 monitor console for years, it made sense. The newer consoles just don't seem user friendly and IMO don't sound as warm as analog. We had a PM3000 FOH console and ran 32 Claire S-4's. They could handle anything from Sting to Metallica to James Taylor. If you knew how to EQ the system it sounded AMAZING. But man was it a pain to fly. Them damn bumpers. But they were a lot easier than flying Hill M3 cabinets.
@ephelduath606 -Since you can't tell this was a simple recording which was probably done with a camera on video mode I suppose it makes sense that you can't hear that the mix is actually pretty decent. Everyone besides you understands this recording was not direct from the board nor recorded with any set up geared towards fidelity yet you're the one that states it "sounds terrible" -you've just lost all credibility due to stupidity and rudeness
yeah i couldnt believe it either. camera was some little bit handheld digital camera. sry, but i dont know what brand though. but yeah, great freakin soundin system!
How'd you connect the line array to the PM4K? Did you use the matrix or just the Stereo Out? Great vid and mix!

Why on earth would you deploy a PM4000 and not use VCAs? Sounds terrible btw.

@MightySaturn5 One man's "decent" is another man's "shit." Never are both men right.
