  • Kinda hard to keep smiling when you sit by the computer all day, The ''cool sporty guy'' is hitting on the love of your life, and the only real friend is over in England while living in sweden.

  • @alaTheViking Theres not a bucket full of females not a even a country full of females but a fucking whole world full of em, i bet you can do better. Peace from dk!

  • oni wtedy się bawili piosenkami, a w tej chwili to porażka !!!

  • epic old school

  • People need to stop holding on to music from the past decades. Music develops and there are a lot of new genres. Sure it's different but it's not bad.

  • bella bella bella!

  • hate that song cause of my estonian teacher. she always says that : " you should be happy, life is a flower." but before i loved that song

  • The 1900's was a better century for music it appears (the late obviously)

  • I finally found the song. I can stay and listen it on repeat!

  • why is the blonde girl HIDING in this video??? she doesnt do close ups anymore due to the pressures of fame???

  • PLEASE READ THE MESSAGE IN MY PROFILE...

  • real music never dies x

  • Let's just be glad that music like this can still be listened to. In a way even these golden oldies become part of today's music, merely by clicking on that play button. ;)

  • @Kiw0x, so true!

  • "carry on smiling, and the world will smile with you" si sper sa nu mai uit asta nicidoata :)

  • I love song I grew up listening to Ace of Base when I was a kid

  • Even on her parts, Linn does not sing. It's so sad....

  • @stormxjp Think she left the band after this song..

  • @jonesk99 Ulf made a comment telling us she left the group completely in 2007. Buuuuut.... one year before that comment, he said that she was ready to record some new songs. WTH? WTF? Now they have kicked Jenny out the group and replaced Linn and Jenny with 2 freaks!!! I WILL NOT SUPPORT Jonas and Ulf with theirs new Ace.Of.Base. Bullshit!!

  • @jonesk99

    no, she left in 2007

  • @stormxjp That was really shocking to me!!

  • @Photoshopeiroh She would create a twitter or facebook at least... I dont think its right the way she left. She has millions of fans around the world. It's not fair >_<

  • You can't say that when this music has sweetness and innocence and substance, Gaga/Rihanna/Katie Perry sing with what is between their legs, to be blunt.

  • well I for one, love the music being made in 2011! Some people just think it's so cool to hate current popular music. This song is just so happy you can't help but smile =)

  • 90 people dont want you living in a free world

  • mitici <3 che ricordi **

  • @studoolumpe

I had same thought for quite some time now. Thought that R.B. "Friday", M.C. "Can't be tamed" or J.B. "Baby" might become nostalgic scares me more than robot uprising and zombie apocalypse combined.

  • O.O c'est quoi ca lol

  • Great decades for music the 80s n 90s nothing has come close since n i cant see owt beating it.

  • Would happily spend re-spend my younger days in the 1990's!! The last decade of the 20th Century, the last decade before the world went to pieces......

  • Life is a flower...covered with manure.

  • 83 people havnt gt a clue

  • I watched M.C.M every Saturday morning against all odds.............just to cram lyrics & sing along as my friends looked on.

  • bk then female singers didnt have to show their flesh to be famous and good singers DAMN I MISS THE 90s SO MUCH

  • @akisgr8101

Lool, sure about that mate? One word: Eurodance.

  • @Surffaaja Eurodance didn't mean women having to pose for FHM so that thare music became famous :)

  • wish there was no war, no racism, no evil and no lady gaga

  • @idrismetalcore but Lady Gaga loves Ace of Base! And she's amazing and wants the same things as you... although she does want to exist. :P

  • @carboncocoa lots of musician says about their likeness of other artist but its just for fans and marketing, but for reality they are different, do you think lady gaga has any common thing with ace of base or the 90s bands, no it all about huffin with muffin

  • @idrismetalcore Firstly... War is a necessity of the human races survival. Without it, populations would flourish faster than they died and famine would become more of a problem. It's a harsh way of looking at it, but it's population control at the finest... Either you get the resources you need to grow, or you lose people and don't NEED to grow...

And you go on about prejudice, evil etc etc... Then say you wish Lady Gaga didn't exist... Hypocritical much?

  • Comment removed

  • @Grigeral so you support terrorism and you want war to exterminate and to use other peoples resources, can you worship anything else than money, btw lady gaga aint worth a shit compare to a good musician, we dont fall for slags maybe YOU DO .

  • @idrismetalcore Lol. You are naieve and know nothing of the world... Music is music. Simple as. Some you like, others you don't. My point with Lady Gaga is you claim to hate the 'hatred' in the world, then express your wish that she doesn't exist. You are a mockery of your own beliefs.

  • @idrismetalcore And as for supporting terrorism... No, I don't support terrorism. But you are a moron if you think that war for resources is greedy or wrong... People need resources. It's as simple as that. War has existed since the dawn of humanity, doesn't that tell you something?

And perhaps, when you really want to know the truth... If the US hadn't carpet bombed the middle east into oblivion, then perhaps terrorism wouldn't be as much of an issue for them as it is today...

  • Ace of Base...they had talent, as many of today's singers, but in addition: they had CLASS -which has always been a scarce virtue at all ages -

  • @bennypelaeztaguada Yes, I think real artists should give you a feeling like "I love the music we sing, I hope you enjoy it too <3".

A lot of artists lack that and feel more like "uh okay, I sing, now I want my money after this ok?".

  • Nice song.

  • Alright, my conclusive theory for people preferring certain decades is as follows: we are too lazy to look for new stuff, whether it is older or newer than our decade. Seriously, decades do not produce music. It is just we are phlegmatic [lazy] because we know that researching something the media does not feed us is hard work with no sure reward, so it is easier to play safe and do not look for gems one himself would like. We forget that even in the beginning, developing the taste took time.

  • Thanks for uploading this video by AOB. I've used it on one of my hubs.

  • AOB 4EVER AND EVER AND EVER!!!!!!

  • back in the 90s female singers didnt have to show flesh to be famous ................ good time .......good times

  • All generation prefer songs from its youth ... Check on 80s songs comments on youtube.

IN 10 YEARS, YOU LL SEE COMMENTS LIKE " WHY THERE S NO MORE SONGS LIKE BIEBER OR LADY GAGA DID? TODAY IN 2021, IT S ONLY SHIT ! "

    mark my words ...

  • @studioolympe

that might be but have you met any youngsters of today disliking the 80's? nah that cant impossibly be.

  • @studioolympe I personally know lots of kids who hate today's music and are very impressed when they hear 90s music.

It's actually a fact that there is much less heart among many artists today, I'm a very experienced musician myself so I know quality music when I hear it.

It's the same with cartoons as well by the way - Dick Dastardly & Muttley and DuckTales are quite obviously loads better than anything you see on Cartoon Network these days.

  • @Laurelindo probably, but then why no reference to the 50s, 60s, 70s in their comments ? Is there a lack of heart in these decades ? I'm still listening Dean Martin, or Elvis or David Dowie and they don't belong to the 90s.

  • @studioolympe u say it

  • @studioolympe I hope you're not right ...

  • @plllot In a way, i hope too ....

  • @studioolympe Absolutely

  • @studioolympe No, I was born 74, and I too love 90ies music best now. If I am not wrong, there is some kind of important difference between 90ies music and nowadays mainstream. But as you say, one can only tell for sure in 2021 then. So let's see then (-:

  • @DominikChlubna a difference, yes, but which one ? ^^

  • @studioolympe which means songs are getting worst lol

  • @studioolympe sry cant agree, I was born in 1992 so I was really really young when this came out.. my mom loved this band btw.. I like it too, but my music is just the alt rock and indie, also theres really good songs from 80's that I like... it's all about having some decent taste in music, and even when bieber and gaga are from my generation I wont ever miss bieber's songs, simple like that.

  • @studioolympe

Well, maybe some people like you would say that..

However, I am sure that more people in 2021 will remember Elvis, The Beatles or Jimi Hendrix, Madonna or Michael Jackson, then Justin Bieber.

Ever heard of "Aaron Carter" or "NewKidsontheBlock"? Those are your Justin Bieber's ;)

  • @dunjak111 In fact i do remember them ... the suffering is forever ;-)

  • @studioolympe there was no you tube in the 80's Moron.

  • @manuekeith but you were still unable to read in the 80s ... asshole

  • @studioolympe I seriously doubt that. You can't possibly get any worse than Lady Dogshit or Justin Bellend.

  • @jonnybridge We ll see in 10 years ^^

  • @jonnybridge Lol. True.

  • @studioolympe couldnt agree much more. thats wot happens, gaga, beiber just becomes history just like the 80,s and the 90,s. shame tho as these songs are the best

  • @studioolympe I think there is a huge difference between 50s/60s/70s/80s/ 90s music and the music of today. The popular music of today is predictable, has no depth or soul and is mind numbingly shit.

  • @purplebanana1000 beh you know how old you sound when you're like "music of today is so bad..." soooo many people said the same thing about ace of base... :/ and we was like, you old people don't know what your on about... lol lets all try to not show our age.... :P

  • @1eoso1e Ya :) I'm not that old though :) Early 20s, but of course that would be old to teenagers :)

  • @purplebanana1000 shh i turned twenty on 21st of november!

  • @1eoso1e Happy Birthday ; )

  • @purplebanana1000 I think people used to say that about 90s music in the 90s, and I think people in the year 2050 will appreciate 2011 music. does it mean music is downgrading? :P

  • @thepurpleicequeen I think there is crap music in every decade, but there clearly appears to be an abundance of crap at the moment

  • @purplebanana1000 Fantastic analysis, lol exactly what i wanted to say but didn't know how to quite put it into words, 100% agreed

  • @sheru7mera7naam007 Thanks :)

  • @purplebanana1000 Man, I don't know what you're listening to, but you need to turn off the radio and start looking for original music... Of course if you're listening to crap you think it's crap, you're not stupid.

The problem is not the music today, the problem is the people that think that what's mainstream is the real deal. If you know it's not, then why are you even acknowledging it?

You're on the internet for music's sake, you can find amazing things here. Actually you can't : you have to.

  • @kazaar30 10000000% agree - music aint as amazing as it used to be. Ace of base were just one of the most amazing things that hap0pened to themusic industry. it sucks that music is soooooo sooo whack these days :( ah well.. it is what it is

  • @kazaar30 I'm just conveying my disappointment at what is considered music these days. Yes, there is great things on the internet which you have to look for.

  • @purplebanana1000 You not noticed?Music has become as castrated as the minds that make it. Someone is locking you all up mentally :)

  • @davesideways True :)

  • @studioolympe I like music from the 80's because it's the music of my youth, but I would take disco over the shit they're playing today. It does suck, nothing compares to the diversity we had in the 90's either.

  • @studioolympe I like music from the 80's because it's the music of my youth, but I would take disco over the shit they're playing today. It does suck, nothing compares to the diversity we had in the 90's either.

  • @studioolympe NO!!! ACCIDENTALLY like your comment.. ;_; (wanted to hit 'reply'...cis!) I listen to todays music a lot. For me old songs is refreshing compared to todays hit music :)

  • Ace of Base

  • im 16 and the 90s were better

  • sense of absolute freedom!

  • i love ace of base but this song sucks sorry guys

  • omg i miss these guys!! im all grown up now..sniff sniff

  • Very positive song. I remember it! :D And still like too.

  • Today's songs are often to be clever or spectacular; 90's were just to make the listeners smile =)

  • i grew up on 80's and 90's music..im lucky cause music back then was simple and catchy..i love this band, they invented their own music, sounds like reggae with beat. to me.

  • Memories , I had this song on a CD :) <3

  • Made me miss the 90's and being young and only caring about things like music and what my friends and I were gonna do after school :p Being a young adult in this economy sucks. But at least there's Ace of Base, lol ;)

  • I like the description xD Helps alot!

  • I remember the band being a bit better looking than this.

  • :)

  • Can't understand why this has got less views

  • ima be honest, i grew up with them while my friends liked the 'barbie' song

  • totally !! i really miss the 90's

  • sweet 90´s I miss them

  • ace of base are the best forever

  • This song was sung by my youngest daughter - Julie Ann while she was still in elementary, I enjoyed the tune, now she is on her 20's and a nurse, and I would surely remember my Julie w/ this song.

  • this song reminds me to my childhood... great feeling! i love it!

  • you know what, i always read things like "....better than nowadays"

the 50's were great the 70's the 90's were great and so is the music of TODAY great

  • Lmao the guy at 0:10 reminds me of Guy Fieri

  • I was born on 1990 and I was young during the 90s, but this is the music I listen the most. It is just wonderful. Music will never be the same again, but don't worry - the music from the 90s will last forever and my kids will listen it.

  • @BmwX3MSport A 1991! true that...old skul just brings out the good old days,,,nothing like today music!!!

  • @BmwX3MSport i was born in 1996 and i love that old music so much!

    I'm from Pooolaaaand! yeah;D

this music is great! Music will never be the same again!:)

  • @BmwX3MSport you going to force your kids to like it? lol

  • @BmwX3MSport yes I totally agree many countries have killed their music industries with reality tv shows like crap factor and pop stars to name a few while they make great TV for some they Just show that we need to create artists even if they have no talent.

In the 1980's (the era I was born) and 1990's a good majority of the music produced was written by the aritist or band and not by the record company.

  • I always feel sad when I hear Ace of Base songs. They remind me of my childhood friends and everything childish we did back then. Of innocence and simplicity. Gosh, they were the most wonderful and happiest times of my life. Just now, it saddens me a lot to know that I'll never get those days back. Back then I know all of their songs by heart. Now, I'm surprised I still do. They are 4eva!!! Whoever wants to build a time machine that goes back to the 90's, pls TTAAKKE mEEE

  • 90's were probably the best decade in history of mankind :)

  • gonna sell my soul and body if I could get back to the 90's, the time when I was filled with dreams and hopes.

  • I want to travel back in time!!!

    DESTINATION: to the 90''s

  • @jailbirdx0x bring me with you please, i damn need it :( I miss the gold old time.

  • This song always cheers me up... and the blonde guy is gorgeous!!

  • w los anos noventaaaaaaaaaa

  • la cancion de mi infancia

  • sounds so family to the corrs in this song

  • such a free song

  • great 90s :X

  • =)

  • 'Whenever You're Near Me' is so much better.

I know this was the original, but the lyrics & production are so awkward.

Flowers/Cruel Summer was the best Ace album...

  • Iv'e probably spent the best part of 10 years looking for this song after hearing it on the radio in the 90's. I seriously could have cried when I found it, it's like being transformed into a child again!

  • Brings back alot of memories of a carefree time, just after communism fell in Europe! No worries, only optimism!
