It would be interesting to know how many americans actually have native american. Also if native american came from asia, then interesting. I love to learn loving things from all cultures and traditions :)
@jandbonner ..... around 90% of america has the native blood in them somewhere but most do not know or is taught not to be proud unless you live on a reservation it is really the "americas " 1st recorded secrete and still is well hidden to this day but the full blooded natives are the smallest minority
Much needed videos, all of them. Unfortunate that the false spirits controlling America (and the world) will not listen on this level until they have been stripped of their rights and dignity (enslaved), or the oligarchy replacing democracy with corporate tyranny are humbled by the consequences of their own greed, arrogance, and conquering (Roman) ideology.

Did you hear about the white guy who's slogan is "Vote American" but is running for office against a Native American?
@Secretdesigncreation All rights are owned by Joanne Shenandoah and/or her record company. You would need to contact Joanne Shenandoah or her publicist.
Imagine what could have happened, if columbus was killed while crossing the Atlantic. A whole new history would be created. I wonder what would have happen to the Native?
@khmerforvaver The same thing would have happened because eventually the lands would have been discovered and colonized by any number of foreign countries. Gold and other riches are strong motivations to wipe out entire nations of people to get it. Also, regardless of whether it was Columbus, Cortez, France, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, etc., natives of the Americas would still have died by the millions from exposure to smallpox, measles, etc. because they had no natural immunity to them.
@katydidscorner Unfortunately yes...given European attitudes about conquest, salvation, etc. I think you are right. Someone else would have eventually done what Columbus, Pizarro, Cortes and others did. They simply would not have done it in the name of Spain.
@katydidscorner it was actually people who was here before Columbus and left n respected they culture n the most surprising thing 2 u is that actually it is found proof of Africans being here b4 as well including vikings who sailed along the Atlantic coast line but i agree some1 would hav done the same but not all ppl did such thing n i wanted 2 let u know Columbus was far from the 1st i am Siksika(blackfoot) n i know well enough n its sad to say ur right but its not all jus most ppl is cruel
@katydidscorner Thank you for this video and the beautiful song.
More than 59 million Native Americans were killed in this genocide. All for their land and greed. This has been kept secret from the public. Let the truth be told.
the genocide of Native Americans continues to this day.
@katydidscorner So the good thing in all that horrific bad would be that the mixing between natives and foreigner had helped them to become resistant against all these plagues. But it have been an expensive price to pay for that. I hope that the ulture of the first nations will survive, and even grow a lot. And maybe this will help our crazy world to came back to some sense.
@katydidscorner Umm. Native Americans would have never had those diseases if we had no contact with immigrants. The government that you all abide with placed those diseases onto natives through packages, clothing, blankets...so on and so forth.
@McAleen My point is that eventually Europeans, Asians, Arabs, etc. would have found the two brand new beautiful continents to rape and pillage after killing and/or exploiting (enslaving) all the native inhabitants. The natives did not have disease resistance to killer germs and viruses and the same number would have been killed by the diseases and the remainder would have been killed or kicked out of their lands because of greed.
@katydidscorner i do understand what you are saying, that no matter what it was bound to happen, i disagree...becos my mothers people are still here, despite everything, so, yes i DO think things would be different.
@katydidscorner Well it was the white man who gave smallpox, TB etc to the Indians, put them on reservations, starved them and put them in schools which were nothing more then death camps..
If we could turn back time and stop the Europeans from leaving Europe North America would be a better place to live.
I am part Navajo, and I'm blown away about the lack of honesty in our American education system, about our Real roots, (what we did to the native Americans).. perhaps our country wouldn't be in this shape, if they were left alone....wonderful song...TY, for posting.
i give thanks to all the native americans for simply being born i dont know what i would do without your inspiration and constant reminder to keep my spirit true and real. When i see your faces and hear your songs i am reminded of truth, love, peace and the beautiful days of old. REAL is one word to describe you and everything you do.
dave nordland hello to you i thank your so cool i love your sight keep up the good work ..after all this is all are haritage as a people im grate sprit of winter.....frome pocatello idaho......
This brings tears to my eyes every time. I always think of my grandmother of the Turtle Clan in the Oneidas...... And now the passing of her brother. She taught the true beauty of the earth and for this I will always be grateful. Peace
This sounds like Irish Gaelic when it is sung.Very earthy and soul moving. She has a very beautiful and peaceful voice.Love the American Indians, the first nation people of the America's.We anglos can learn a lot from these beautiful children of GOD.
I dedicate this video to Julianna Berry. She was born August _31_2006 and she was murdered on December_27_2008 by a Brian H LaPrairie.
She was abandon by her father Zachary Berry when she was born, and abandon by her mother Malak Deek in her short life. Julianna's mother is/was pregnant by the man that murdered her. To see what Julianna looked like Google: Split Verdict Reached In Deek Trial
The north american continent was great before the white man, and then became a world power, but a lot is expected to whom a lot is given. ¿are most americans living upo to these expectations?
i see those faces in the video, and i cannot stop thinking that most people in my country have the same physical features... the face, the skin... It's incredible... we are the same. although I'm here in Argentina and you are miles and miles upwards the American continent. :)
No, my forefathers&mothers came from europe, and when I think about why I am here, living in this land, well, it's something hard. It's terrible to think about your roots and come out with the idea that you are here because some invaders killed native people. I'm not proud of it, but I can't change the past. So I think it's fair to recognize their identity as native people, that means to respect their culture, not to be ignorant about those things. I really admire native people's strength. :)
Joanne played a couple songs at my father's funeral this Tuesday, it was beautiful and an honor to hear her lovely voice and a wonderful way to remember my dad. (:
Tears of Joy Fill my eyes when I think of the peace that will flood this place .. Yeha .. <3
