All pre production is recorded on a pc with ezdrummer, line6 gearbox (Toneport UX2) and nuendo.

Yes the secerets out, this whole track is recorded in my spare room at home!!!

I used a USA tele with the ac30 sound on the gearbox. The bass was an old 70's honor arbor. The drums were ezdrummer vintage kit with the black buty snare and the wood beater options selected. The vocals were recorded with a studio projects C1 through the gearbox then through the NI hammond b4 plugin with a slight rotary effect.

Oh and I put the guitar solo through my electro harmonix POG.

Our drummer was very pissed off that I messed the drums up. He plays it so much better live!!

Spoke to Dave Grohl lastnight at the portsmouth aftershow and he said that he liked our attempt... said that I almost got the lyrics but not quite... Josh Homme said that he thought it was a good thing bus wasnt sure and he instigated a "white-shoe-off" between me and Troy Van Leeuwen, I lost... It was ace. We cant wait to get our actual record finished so we can get on the road too... ROKK.

I honestly dont know them!! I listened to all the live versions to try to get them down but I think that they are at least 50% wrong. I started by writing the sounds the words were making and only then it began to get a little clearer as to what he was saying. Clear but not that clear!!

And concerning the legality...well, nobody can blame you for using your ears and jamming around with your band and paying tribute to other bands...i mean, you do not say "this song is ours!" or something like that. so i suppose putting covers on youtube is legal...but no expert in law questions here ^^

Thanks man, just listened to the live versions and did a bit of research into Josh. He playes tuned down to C and uses a Bad Cat amp and a Telecaster in the vid and so on... Really looking forward to the real thing!!
