Will i run Crysis on ultra (no AA on) with these specs?

-dual XFX Radeon HD 4870 512mb GDDR5

-AMD Phenom II X3 720 (Triple Core, 2,8Ghz, AM3, 95W)

- 4gb ram

How well will it run?

Btw is it hard to built a pc? never done it before, but with instructions book, is it harD?

My new build is Intel Quadcore 2.3ghz GTX 295+ With onboard 1792mb ,4GB Ram And plays on maximum settings, i think my graphics card eats it up X

Eh, well im cookiesowns, and my youtube account got hijacked, but where are you located as i can do pc builds. but it really isn't that hard for the basic things, i usually do builds for free they only have to pay shipping, and i do 24 hour stress test, also overlocking. :)

It should run crysis fine, but your cpu might bottleneck the video cards, not sure. should go for a better cpu.

Your computer would play it like shit. And remember, this bloke is recording, it probably decreases his framerates to about half of what it should be.

tudy's pc is shit yours owns but shows laggy because you are recording with fraps or something decreasing your fps alot :)

Yea, AA was on 2x, which really brings framerate down.

My cpu was downclocked to 3.2 : (, and fraps was sucking my fps.

the 4870x2 is a beast, the 5870x2 is just going to get replaced really fast.

So get the x2 or get the 4890

yeah i heard the 5870 would be less powerfull but would have dx11 support. so i guess i'll just have to wait and c what nvidia comes out with. or get a 4870x2 :)

Dx11 doesn't really matter, the 4xxx has 10.1 which nvidia does not have, it has all the requirements for dx11 also, ran the 4870 on windows 7 and it shows as DX11 :D -cookiesowns

i still have no idea what to do tho :\ the summer releases will be expensive but also be more powerfull. the 4890 has dx 10.1 (and according to microsoft dx11 will be hardwarebount not software) and is alot cheaper + 2 of them perform better then a 4870x2.

Hmm, actually this is true, in dxdiag it shows as dx11 but in hardware only 10.1 : (

i've been reading on dx11 stuff a bit and found a txt stating that dx11 does not need new hardware meaning that dx 10 cards can run dx11 which offcourse is good news ^^

2 4890's are only €50 more expensive then the average 4870x2 for much more performance.

You can play at a much higher resolution and still get a great framerate.
