....want to. They respect him and he respects them. It's a mutual partnership. I will admit some circuses still treat their animals horribly. But this is a stereotype and has become the exception, not the rule. So people, do your research the next time you see the video of a circus act with animals in it and don't automatically have a knee-jerk reaction of "OMG! It's animal cruelty!"

As far as I can tell, he is neither savagely beating them, forcing them into collars tight enough to choke them, or spraying them with fire hoses to force them to perform, as animal trainers who used old techniques used to do. @stevoe1000 I'm guessing that you've never seen an actual circus as a child. And have you ever actually SEEN any of this alleged animal abuse? The few big circuses operating today don't abuse their animals to the extent that eco-nuts describe. Nearly all the ones that did are now out of business. And of course it's money and fame, what entertainment isin't? And FYI, all current circus animals are captive-born; thery're easier to train that way.
