1. why am I looking at your 'crutch'? - Is that your best feature?
2. The 'Elmsley', done in this position is limiting and restricts 90% of people to a body language position where all heat is on the cards and the chances of using other stratergies of misdirection are minimized. This is an issue with this style of handling, as the control you have over the 5 cards is marginally reduced. This is not a disarter but it does mean you have to put a bit more effort into the handling of the cards.
at 2:32 the word you're looking for is ostensibly. But i agree with everything you said. I love to hear people talk about stuff like this. I'm excited for more thoughts on magic in the future.
really really good stuff! thanks for sharing your thoughts.

dude we share the same thoughts!
i hv found out that only a little subtlety (e.g. a pause, gesture) can greatly improve a lot of classic sleights
a little extra thing i wanna point out is that when doin elmsley
try to hold ur right hand still, let ur left hand to do the counting move
that would be much more natural
