One of the best FPS games ever made. I really hope GOG.com gets Outlaws soon to their archives. Excellent voice acting like always in Lucasarts games. Also the cutscene animation is movie worthy.

It runs on Vista & 7 but 32-bit ver is better, 64-bit OS always cause problems for old games. But you can use WINE or Virtual Box or Dosbox to run it. Also software rendering or a 3dFX emulator like nGlide helps.

I remember playing the demo of this game at a old friends house.. I didn't think much of it. But he made me played it more and soon I got the hang of it. Me (or my brother) bought it.. dough the visual effects of the game wasn't really that great even for that time.. the story and the game got stuck on me. I finished the game after quite some time and few other games have had such a impact on me.. I love this game! Good Stuff From Good Times !

Why are there no cowboy games? I can imagine a western RPG using the Oblivion engine where you're the State Marshall and have a main quest to catch a real bad guy with sub quests to catch rustlers and kidnappers and deal with range Wars and with political intrigue back in town, with maybe having to be re-elected based on how good a job you're doing!

Wow! I never saw the full version of this...for some reason the cutscene always ended with Sarah on the swing, stopping when Slim and the Doctor arrive...I never saw the conversation at the front door step and all of the parts after...it just skipped right to the beginning of the first level. Was this cut out of the final version for everyone, or did I get some other version different from the rest? I'm from Canada, I don't think it would have been censored here..Germany maybe, but not here.

I'm from Canada, and I had/have the exact same problem with my copy. Lucasarts said it was one of several defective copies and they'd replace it free of charge, but I never bothered to do it.
