On 30th November Barbados has celebrated their national holiday!!!
In 1966 Barbados became independent from the UK!!!
Congratulations for that. Barbados is a beautiful country, a incredible beautiful landscape and coasts and such amazing charming people. Absolutely sympathic. I hope to come back to these great country again. Best wishes to all people of Barbados from your friends in Germany
lol there are actually sharks, but they arent likely to trouble you, i go spearfishing and surfing all the time, im in the sea almost every day and i have only ever seen 1 shark, and i have never heard of a shark attack in barbados. and the activities i do make me way more likely to come in contact with a shark than regular swimmers
it was british until 1966 and gained independance and no belongs to itself. i know this as i celebrated my 40th their in nov 2006 and they were also celebrating 40 yrs of independance
@ratmasta Allen came close (not a hit), it didn't cause much destruction either. (That figure you gave, is that US$6 Million or BD$6 Million?) If you mean BD$6 Million that is only US$3 Million.... Allen didn't cause any deaths. Whereas Janet (in 1955) destroyed many of the houses and killed about 38.
I agree. I could barely tolerate the 1 minute and 27 seconds that I managed to get past. In the end I just turned it off. Shame there wasn't subtitles for what the cab driver was saying, then I could just simply turn off the volume. :(
please get bak me and tell me if ur cab drivers name was clyde his voice sounds so familiar me and myy girlies went there last summer, had a wicked time. my home town love it.

If you take away the Diamond's International, one or two other shops and the race track,Bridgetown is shit and very dirty. The real action in Barbados is in Saint James,at the Sandy Lane Hotel for example.(special note for their wonderfull restaurant:l'acajou.

Yer man's accent is great...nice video as well, I prefer these kind of 'real' experiences to those corporate ones where a damn helicopter just takes aerial shots and we see endless saccharine images of beaming children in their school uniforms.
Lorrie,I just want to let u know that I am a barbadian and there are absolutely no sharks here...Nada,nothing..no where near here.there's something we loosely call shark and we eat it but it isnt a "real" shark

The sharks don't come in because there is coral around the island and it hurts them.

Barbados is a lovely island but the wealth is not distibuted evenly, the white and rich there think they are the shit.....lol

not really true, there are plenty well-to-do blacks in Barbados, and not so wealthy whites.
