well i have a question about the gears. ok so how would you knwo when its in 1 neutral 2nd 3rd and so on? like will you feel it click? will you push down with the bottom of your foot to get into first? and then pull it up to go to 2nd?

@vinnie291 you can feel the gear lever click up or down depending on whether you shift up or down. as far as knowing what gear you are in its just a matter of remembering. some higher end bikes show you the gear you're in on the Tach.

Once you get used to where the friction zone is on your bike, do you still need to let the clutch out slowly to that point or can you just jump to that point without stalling? Also, it seems the friction point on my 250 is at about 95% of the clutch fully open. Is that normal?

in uk be careful with the killswitch when your doing your test ... The instructors 60% of the time will turn off your killswitch WITHOUT you knowing, and then ask you to start your bike. They will then ask you why it's not starting. Check the Key is on then the killswitch is set to the "do not kill the bike" mode (i don't know wether it is off or on)

Then check that your pulling in the clutch to start ( some bikes need this)
