For me, not only as a listener but also as a producer, there is a noticeable difference between GoaTrance and PsyTrance. Most of the times (with a big emphasis on the term MOST) psytrance has a more high pitched kickdrum and a more throbbing, dominant and repetitive bassline, while goatrance diversifies more...not as strict as psytrance. Most pystrance has no melodies just a bunch of fancy effects, its more industrial. GoaTrance is multilayered, more organic...

@nunoPT When we look back at the early Psy/Goa scene, we can conclude that the first albums (Goa Head 1, 2, 3, etc. and The World of Goa Trance 1, 2, 3, etc.) are all Goa Trance, while nowadays most of the stuff is Psy Trance.

What? Am I wrong? Do people who listen to psy not also like Goa? I didn't say people who like Goa typically like psy too. THAT is not true. I know all about Goa. I like the old stuff from the 90's before almost everyone switched to psy (great example being Cosmosis). That's why I'm listening to this track - cause it's oldschool flavor.
