  • Oh shit...better get the shop vac...

  • "i want to be a billionaire so fucking bad..."

  • thats sick as fuck

  • oh no! im on the titanic! oh no... its just hydrofloor...

  • It would sure surprise a lot of dancers.

  • I wonder how nasty it gets between under that top and the actual floor of the pool after a while :-/

  • We had a pool like that at our school in the 70s. They were able to control how deep it was. It was cool.

  • I would skimboard on it :)

  • whats the point of this? like you're not gonna put furniture or anything on top of it when the pools hidden? so why not just leave the pool, rather than have a big white waste of a room?

  • @TheWorldOfJames so that your kids won't fall in and drown when you're not looking, probably.

  • @TheWorldOfJames - well thats the thing, you can turn that room into anything, people can put furtinure over it, it could be a great place to hold a party , or a dance or something, that way it doesn't just have to be a place where the indoor pool is. I have also seen them for outside, and people bbqing ontop of it and stuff, seems practical, but also seems irritating when you want to get the pool back up, seems like it takes fforever.

  • @Pam4Rob but why would you do anything on it, if you get it dirty and cook food on it, have a party on it etc, then all that dirt is going on the floor of your pool! then you'd have to clean it and check the water and shit, like whats the point? lol

  • you no what i would like to go swiming next week press button

next week: i dont feel like swimming

    and repeat

  • I could see my impatient ass out there jumping up and down in the middle of it, down mother f%cker! DOWN! LOL

  • @6dubango9 Lmaoo

  • i hope you don't empty the pool after each use

theyre complaining about how baths use much more water than showers...

  • You could stand on the floor as it goes under and it would be like the titanic sinking!

  • by the time it fillls up you coulda went to the community pool and hit on a young white chick

  • @Holypaladin6 or you could post a comment on youtube to make yourself sound like a black guy

  • @Holypaladin6 world of warcraft!! haha

  • i see a mini skating rink in the winter lmao

  • hey you guys wanna go swimming?

    YEAH

    okay..come back tomorrow

  • its cool but poke some holes in it please its just to slow...i think i would have gone to the neighborhood pool had tons of fun an came back home before this thing finished lol other then that its all right in my book ;)

  • Year: 2011 No Pool Just A Floor. Year: 3011 What The... Why Is There A Pool In My House?! I Must Have Got To Many Microwaves. Microwave-Making Robot, Turn Off!

  • Fuck rich people.

  • (continued from previous comment) depict exceptionally well thought out therapy versions of these pools that have been designed and built for rehabilitation of the disabled, and/or injured; zoos with this type of pool for the medical care of dolphins and other types of large aquatic animals; and finally, large olympic-size (yes, you read that correctly--OLYMPIC-SIZE) public pools of this unique type which are able to accommodate a variety of general as well as specific needs and safety concern

  • Anyone with a correct sense of how time passes can readily ascertain that within 10 to 15 minutes max the floor of this pool reaches the bottom of it's travel. There are several companies producing these movable floor-type pools. As is the case with any concept some of them are better than others. Believe it or not, there are very practical applications these type of pools have been successfully created for--they are not just useful to the rich! I have studied various YouTube videos which d

  • This guy has got 2 much money..

  • Star Trek doesn't look so far-fetched after watching this.

  • Hydro floors!

It looks like a floor! BUT. fuckin' 100 years later: you get a pool.

  • One night you come home drunk to dive into your po;AHH FUCK

  • It seems like there should be soft-core porn music playing over this video

  • this doesn't really work for small spas, though

if the area of the rectangle for which the pool will be is too small, if a few people try to get in, their bodies's combined volume will push some of the water up and out of the pool, and even if there are drains on the side this means the floor will either have to be tilted into the drains or cleaned up manually by mop or something after the floor comes back up and this isn't very practical for a regular floor so you might as well just buy a pool

  • @Da1337ed build a serge tank and let water flow into the tank from overflow gutters, then use a circ pump to lift water out of the tank and force it through your filters and back to the spa. The spa would always be full no matter how many people are in the spa, you need a float valve inside the tank.

  • Why not just buy a house in New Orleans?

  • @rpwhitney

    hahahahahahahahha

  • It would probably be cheaper to just build a big empty room right next to your indoor pool.

  • I would set up a dinner party. Then ruin it with the push of a button. Then post it on Youtube.

  • "Hey, I feel like having a swim"

    "Me too, but it's closed."

"Closed? I thought it was your pool?"

"It is but we'll have to wait 6 hours"

    "...?"

    Rofl =P

  • i would hate to take a nap on the floor here

  • ow sh*t I've forgot something on the floor :s

no worries, you still have an hour left B4 it get's whet

too bad if you've left some dirt on the floor

  • find a way to tie someone you hate down to it, and EXTREMELY SLOWLY, watch them drown.

  • @Lager200 At this rate they'd die of boredom first.

  • COOL!!! 1 hour later i could swim!

  • well if you think about it, its pretty awesome.

You can be doing other chores while its going down. its not a big deal..just my opinion

  • i wouldnt want to wait that long just to swim.

  • "Canon ball!!!! my neckkk!!"

  • I wonder how loud the mechanism must be for them to decide its better off to cut out the sound entirely...

  • "really Billy? You couldn't wait to piss in the pool after the floor went down?"

  • Personally, I think you should just be able to press a button and shoom, instant pool. Like someone had blasted a hole in your floor with dynamite and filled it with water in the space of five or so seconds. It shouldn't take that long to lower. Then again, I suppose you have to count for water pressure. Maybe five minutes at least. >w>

  • it ryly just needs red lights and a submarine siren then i could just sit in the middle screaming DIVE DIVE DIVE!

  • @thejam10555 hahahahahahaha

  • why

  • If you want to swim, just turn it on, an a week later the pool is ready! What a nice deal!

  • WANT

  • cool but stupid at same time

  • I'm way too impatient for this shit.

It's the adult equivalent of waiting for the hosepipe to fill your paddling pool as a kid.

  • Whats the point of this?

  • this would totally work in films with bad guys. like, the hero would be tied up on the floor and then it would start to sink and it would give enough time for the hero to escape because it takes so damn long to transition.

  • @MyLifeIsJustin better just to have a normal swimming pool. this shit is overrated

  • Better to have it slide away horizontally.

  • isn't it gonna be a bitch to dry when the floor comes back up ? jw.. LMFAO.

  • It's a cool idea but it looks like it takes ages to transition.

  • what a stupid invention.

  • "I'm in the mood to go for a swim, but then again it takes 4 hours for the pool to be ready, forget it."

  • then one night you get drunk and go dive in your - AHH WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?

  • sweet, I can like shove someone under the floor and drown them or crush them. what ever tickles my fancy

  • haha!my auntie is sleeping in the living room!i should have had this installed!goodbye bich!

  • surely once it has dropped a foot you could have a pump pulling water from below and stuffing it on top to speed it up lowering and then can be reveresed on the way back up - the same pump as does the cleaning even.

  • Have your friends sleep on that area and turn it on.

  • could use the same mechanism of the submarine?

  • Think of the fun! You can lower it about 2 inches below the surface and tell your friends to dive in!

  • how stupid. Did an engineer design this or a kid doing an elementary school science project? SO much energy to put the floor all the way to the bottom and I cant even imagine what it takes to get it back to the top.

  • @intevai I absolutely agree .. the floor should have some holes to make watter come through easier ... gut in general it is good idea

  • I think the down side of this is that, If you dont keep the floor clean and when it submerges down into the ground, You'll have dirty water. :(

  • this design is very impractical because the amount of force needed to pull the platform down. keep in mind the water has only like a 2-3 inch gap at all four sides to escape. it's like trying to pull a boogie board down into the water.

  • ok science man

  • cool ja trodde de inte

  • cool story, bro.

  • And this is what you call a multi purpose pool.

  • 27 hours later...................

  • he can finally swim..

  • @5botball Exactley.

  • this would be awesome to have a dance on... lol...

hundreds of sweaty ppl... then the floor starts turning to water... then all of a sudden you're in a pool with sexy bitches all around! :D

    im gay

  • nah man ...that's whats up! getting sexy bitches wet is what i live for!

  • that is dirty...but ya where does the h20 go?

  • Pretty cool and a nifty idea.

The question I have is how do you keep it clean? Pools have to be swept of debris periodically and it seems like this would have a tendency to get...grungy on the bottom. Unless it lifts out of the pool with relative ease or you can get underneath it somehow (which doesn't sound safe!) then I get the feeling it'll be a pain in the ass to keep from getting nasty.

  • if ur loaded u wudnt caree laoded ppl will buy this. lol

  • Imagine the bill on that thing...maintanence and installation...I'd take the kiddy pool...lol

  • CANNON BALL!!!!!

  • That is so cool!! But, i bet it costs a shitload. =(

  • !!! you could go skimboarding when the water is shallow!!!! :D

  • i want this installed on all floors in my entire house- if I got unwanted guests I could easily drown them(and all my belongings):):):)

  • your guests would have to be really slow and oblivious... lol

  • they would be and they are, trust me;)

  • @CraigViewer I don't know about all that, but it's always good to know where my stimulus money went :))

  • @CraigViewer im pretty sure theyd realise before you got the chance :(

  • Supercool, but I cannot help wondering. Who needs this?

  • nah, can't be f*** any more. haha jk

come to think of it, i don't have enough room in the backyard. i can see it will come in handy if you're having a party \ bbq etc.

  • major bling

  • wow

  • nice

  • Oh come on guys, don't judge so harsly, this is pretty cool!

C'mon it's not like any of us can ever afford that!

Besides, who's gonna dive into the floor right? We're probably just going to chill with half of our bodies underwater and talk like most people do at a jacuzzi.

  • .......likes to take its time

  • *awaits the 'fail' video of someone trying to dive in when its only 1 foot deep*

  • @CreatMind

its stilll prtty fuckin shill tho mate

  • @PowerFuzion shill?

  • I guess this is good if you have small children.

  • Yeah I think that is the only legitimate selling point. That and if the price of land where you live is really expensive (otherwise build a second building!).

  • @Craydon

What's even better, if you have small children, is to lock the door to the pool. Takes only 2 seconds and won't cost you double the pool money...

  • @Poisonseed You say that like I built the thing.

  • sadly, I must say that this one doesnt amazes me... I mean, the floor is going down and the water under the floor filtrates... :/

  • @CreatMind watch @ 0:39 does it look like the floor is going down for you?

  • yes, it does

  • @Gilfar im sure the floor is going down... what? you think it just magicaly disapears? it goes down and creates the space for the water. The mechanism must be really complex, I'm pretty sure that the water cant get to the part under the floor cuz there are all the bombs and all the stuff that moves the floor itself. Still, this is truly not that amazing in a sense tht is lacks a real use.... if u have the money to install this crazy thing you are not going to need the extra space it creates :P

  • plus, why my original post got thumbs down? I need to love the idea shown to post a comment or what?
