instead of ranting and raving i have decided to simply post that among other topics i do post on my wall sternly worded ramblings that being judgmental over weight or fitness ability is a ridiculous standard.
However I face a struggle when trying to express what I consider *an* aesthetic. maybe i am being hypocritical to view anything to have aesthetic beauty when i simultaneously claim that certain body types should not be worshiped.Does rejection of diet industry force rejection of preference?
@piecharthosen I'm not sure I completely understand your question, but I don't think there's anything wrong with having a personal preference for certain body types, either for yourself or in partners. The only problem is if you expect everyone to conform to your preferred body type, or shame or judge those who don't. - Becca
yeah, blasted 500 character limit. You answered my question though: what I do sometimes is post pictures of women who are fitness models(I have a passion in working out)and without fail I get bombarded with 'women shouldn't have muscles' rhetoric. I'M NOT TRYING TO SAY YOU SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS I'M JUST POSTING ON MY WALL.
ugh anyway I'm not trying to argue - Definitely I don't want to demonise skinny girls or fit girls, but if I judged the rebuttals, and the lack of rebuttals when I post 'average' looking girls (or if you look at the girls I do date, which are average to chubby), it looks like there's a reverse judgementalism, and similar to cisgender or ...no cisrace is not a word. or whites only feminism, I see it and just rebel.
@belleofacadia Aww thanks! I'm glad you like the video. ^_^
It was one of the more difficult ones to make, especially talking about my mum as I didn't want it to sound like I thought badly of her or anything, I just find it upsetting that she's been made to feel that way, and that I have too.
@rich2riddler Wait, are you getting adverts on this video? Because you shouldn't be. That's a whole 'nother discussion that we need to have one week about whether or not to allow (filtered) ads to show, and even then we'd want to make sure you weren't getting shit like that.
It's not one I've seen, but then they're probably targeting you with that one because you're male. I hate January. Stay strong lovely, you're beautiful just as you are - Becca xxx
@jacobromu Sorry! I didn't realise it was quieter than normal. I looked into getting a microphone to plug into the camera but it's such an old crappy camcorder that it doesn't seem to have a mic jack. Will see if I can do anything else about it next time. - Becca
