  • video sux, music, perfect

  • Thank you Willie for not being a dick to the world! You are and will always be a legend.

  • you have know idea how truth rings true, here, where I am....reality

  • I secretly, frequently am fond of this song.

  • darkanser thats a load cowboys aint gay its all just bull

  • Even before Brokeback Mountain, I've heard stories about male love between cowboys in history books. This song just corroborates the legacy. I love it.

  • What was this filmed on? A fucking calculator?

  • Okay, I don't get this song. Willie Hugh Nelson,. the Ambassador to Weedville, was born in Abbott, TX in 1933 and is 5' 6". He sounds taller. He's been married 4x and divorced 3x with 7 kids. I guess he's not queer. I don't think he'd have gotten this recorded 40-50 years ago. Do you?

  • A lot of the lines sort of miss the mark with me, but I think his hearts in the right place and thats enough.

  • Love it

  • The song is offensive as hell. Fondness and feelings between men is "falling between the sexes"? "the feminine"? letting "a lady slip out"? Are people just ignoring these lines? Or do they actually believe all homosexual men are less of men? That the song is associated with Brokeback Mountain is disturbing: The movie is about love between two masculine men. To call that love "a lady slipping out" is a slander. The song is really a cut at machismo using homophobia--anti-man and anti-homosexual.

  • @androkyle you DO know this is supposed to be satire, correct? Don't take things at face value only.

  • @androkyle he didn't say "inside every gay cowboy there's a lady waiting to slip out." but "inside EVERY cowboy." and in every lady there's a deep manly voice. i took it as less "gay guys are more feminine then straight ones" and more "gender isn't as clear cut as people like to think."

  • Ned Sublette, who wrote this song, has a wonderful CD out called COWBOY RUMBA. Check it out. He's got a great voice!

  • Gotta love Willie...

  • I think he said "fondle" cowboys fondle eachother.

  • @americanqueer That's what i thought when i first heard it. I thought he was saying cowboys frequently secretly fondle each other .

  • @CoachDerekSr Hey, Ho-bag: look up his wikipedia entry, under the Activism section.

    You done derped.

  • I've always known that grown men who wear cow boy hats were queer! LOL, way to go Willie!

  • I've always known that grown men who wear cow boy hats were queer! LOL, way to go Willie!

  • That's funny! Willie can do a sequel to this by just inserting Republican Congressmen & T-Baggers in the place of Cow Boys. LOL

  • As always, he sings the truth. Every western bar I've ever been to has been gay...

...of course I wouldn't have gone to them if they weren't. :)

    Happy 420 Willie.

  • Well, Republicans (who represent the Wealthy) get there support from rednecks and Christians by saying they are against the gays (which they are not), so everyone gets government working against our best interests.

  • @nnndIT lmao someone drank the mainstream media coolade, wake up!

  • willie always know how to make you laugh

  • lol haha burt willie and a song of gaycowboys, the universe just exploded

    surprisingly its a good song.

  • Roundup Saloon is also the name of a gay country/western bar in Dallas.

  • love the song. I work at a rodeo (a regualr "straight" one, but I know many cowboys and riders that have always been willing to at least "diddle" in it.

  • willie wtf

  • does he say the 'f' word in the middle of it...love the song, unfortunately the quality of vids not so great.

  • excuse me while i letirally laugh my ass off... ...ok, back.

this song is great. thanks for sharing

if i had a had a hat on, i'd tip it in your direction. 5/5

...oh my god i acually have tear in my eyes.

  • The original is from the great Pansy Division!

  • The original is actually from Ned Sublette. Pansy Division did do a great job with it though.

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • I've respected Willie Nelson for long, but this one blew off my socks

  • huh huh huh ... you said "blew"

  • I love gay cowboys! I love this song!

  • To much people said very negative commemts about the song and for Willie also... but we need him! Him and his great songs!

  • I wish I could find this video and the song locally here . I think it is tastefully done

  • willie nelson I love you.

  • Check out my rebuttal to this song....Search: xofbob

  • bad quality video, great cover song :)

  • This Song Is Sooo Fuckin' great, its up to you to be offended by it...its just the truth...weather your masucline or feminine...

  • "Cowboys Are Secretly, Frequently (Fond Of Each Other)" was written in 1981 by Texas-born, NYC resident musician/songwriter Ned Sublette, long before gay cowboys were the current topic of conversation. Nelson recorded the song last year during an iTunes Originals session at his Perdernales, TX studio. This is the first time Nelson's version has been released.

  • I know this was recorded well before mid 2006. First time I heard this song was on the radio in 2005 not long before Brokeback came out. Which is why it was played. Both because its a really good song that happens to be funny and the subject matter bing similar to that movie.

  • ya and those who discriminate against entire groups based on the actions of a few are just as bad eh?

  • Where the hell did that come from?? Have you ever even seen a cowboy? That is by far the most idiotic comment I've ever read.

  • You are the bigot here, jovito.

  • WHERE was this clip taken from, ??? is it a bonus part of the dvd brokeback mountain!

    Thanks

  • Willie bought my mum a cockie many years back. being a queer, we (and me mum) love this! what the fuzz is up with the Burt in this vid? xo2all Brad

  • Willie Nelson is the coolest motherfucker to ever walk the face of the Earth.

  • amen brother

  • Nelson rules, to write a sng like this takes balls, and I LOVE balls.

  • What a great song (and I'm not gay or a cowboy). What I love most about it is the uptight reactions it has to get from uptight assholes. "Cowboys" are ridiculous, and they deserve to be mocked.

  • He's not mocking them, you idiot.

  • wonder where they shot the external location. Definitely isn't Oaklawn.

  • I love this song. XD Kehehe, stupid radio stations don't know what they're missing--or, rather, who they're missing. Willie's a frikkin' god of country, and if he wants to sing the gay cowboy song, he can damn well sing it! Hehe. :)

  • I love Willy !!

  • ahahaha

  • tell it, willie!
