I started DW with Christopher Eccleston and have to say I find both DT and MS brilliant doctors and brilliant actors - they just do things differently

I think DT handled emotion better - but MS has that awkward alien humour down to a tee - its just fantastically Brilliant

Aside from him being one of the most craziest and quirky and positively AMAZING doctors ever, I have to say that Matt Smith's eyes remind me of a puppy dog or a kitten and that makes me want to see what he does next in the shows. He always makes the most extravagant facial expressions. Ever. <3

Tennants last series was filled with little laugh in comparison to Matt's. I actually really, really enjoy the new series. You know what? If there was Team Tennant and Team Matt, I'd be rooting for Team Doctor. It's the character I love.

This happened to Peter Davison when he took over for Tom Baker. I even saw one 39 year old fan's video post spitting vitriol at Matt. RTD was wise to reboot the series with a little more maturity because classic DW's core audience had grown up. Now I think SM has turned the new series back (just a notch) towards classic DW's sense of fun and adventure for a general audience. This is just not sitting well with some older fans who think- This is MY show.
