If you don't have Netflix Im pretty sure you can order it anywhere but Netflix is a pretty good place to start. Other than that I have no other ideas besides just ordering the movie.

@MakoSucks There's some really deep psychological/social commentary on the darker side of mankind in Ichi. Unfortunately everyone seems to get too freaked out by the violence and misses the deeper meaning. If you're thinking of watching Ichi remember this, the violence is a vehicle for the story and not necessarily and ends to a mean, you could strip out every ounce of gore you'd still have a movie with some fantastic character study.

If you ask me, I think the movies that are the farthest from moral, and the farthest from happy are the biggest attention getters in my book. It's like no other genres of movies can truly capture my emotions like these movies can. This movie was one of the first gore/shocking films I'd ever seen, and I can say that it was sickeningly awesome!

Is Kakihara human? or is there a subtle supernatural twist? there are little hints & clues that would suggest he isn't human and has the ability to regenerate... ?? anyone? @narcotect In the comic book version Kakihara is merely one of the sickest motherfuckers in the world. If Miike wanted to give him a supernatural twist in the movie is up for debate, but originally in the comic, Kakihara is a human being with a sadomasochistic love for pain. Whether that pain is inflicted on him or others doesn't matter, as long as there's pain involved. If Miike wanted to give him a supernatural twist, I think it is meant to be a symbolic thing, like a spiritual possession etc.

Horrifying movie, very funny but disturbing as hell stuff. I saw it in one of my city's midnight screenings and never saw anything like it before, it's just raw tough, go for the jugular and a hilarious horror comedy as well. It's one of the best comic book based movies ever and Miike's best with Audition.

Takashi Miike makes the film that goes all the way in every way. Japanese, English dubbed, doesn't matter. I found Takashi through the Eli Roth movies. He usually makes Yakuza action, but ya never really know what you will get with this guy.

Inchi the killer has more of an Ok story with loads of gore at certain stages. A friend of mine actually went pucking during the movie, I think that says enough ;)
