  • will somebody PLEASE POST MORE ZULUS VIDS ON THE INTERholio???? This was one of my favorite live bands of all time (and my first show was the original Clash) and I'm findin NOTHIN out there.

While you're at it, please release all the amazing incredible awesome unreleased stuff that they recorded after the Bob Mould record. Pretty please, once again.

  • @brah I think a more constructive dialog starts with how much $ you are willing to pay Rhino or Rounder Records for a Zulus retrospective. I'd pay $40.00. Maybe more.

  • Did i fail to name the band this time? I'll look into it. The only line up change this band ever had was the switch from HSR bass player Chris Maclachlan, who is on the Greenworld EP, to Rich Cortese, who joined the band in 1985. The one and only Malcolm Travis is on the drums each and every time.

  • Is this M. Travis on drums? It looks/sounds like him but I don't know if they ever had a different drummer.....?

  • I def have vid for 2nd night, was sure I had 1st, cannot find, might be in MA barn. I have both nights in Plasterphonic, and I also I wore my Sony Cassette "Pro" Walkman, possibly both nights, so I have my own audience tape..

  • By the way, how much more of this video do you have? Complete set?

  • By the way, the Hector and Lynn demo also came with four songs from the Condo Pygmies. Also very good stuff.

  • @paul88lx I saw the Condo Pygmies w/Rich when I was yungun! Freekin aweesome. AL on vocals, my HERO Pat MCGrath on guitar, some unmanageable drunks, and Rich. I used to watch them and many other bands practice and play below 52-54 Queesnbury street in the Fens, owned by Wayne (Crown Electric Company) Podworny, then Keith Fletcher ("You should quit abusing women with sexual intercourse" scene in "Slackers"), and last I left of it was down to one addy, prolly 54, run by Jerry the Count Cooper

  • I just had a friend convert this album to digital format about a week ago. I can't stop listening to it. Sooooo freaking epic. Also just got my hands on the Turned On/Hector and Lynn demo from a different friend who DJs' at WMBR. I'm pressing on him to dig up the live on Pipeline stuff so it can be converted to a digital format.

Such a fantastic band. Easily one of the very best to come out of Boston. Bar none. I'm just very gratefull I got to see them even once.

  • @paul88lx hmmm. Havn't hurd the H&L yet, I rlly like the way that tune is constructed tho. 1 of my favs. Is that the session w/the washy reverb on the vox? I wish they'd have chilled out a bit with the verb. Oh well. Can't go back in time. They have a tune called "High Tide" that can be found if you look. I've assigned a dollar value to what a Rounder Records Zulus anthology album is worth to me, and that is $40.00. I'm not going to talk a higher number if I can get it for $40.

  • @rokarolla Hector and Lynn is a tiny bit spashy. But not bad at all. Actually sounds fantastic to me. I like a slightly raw sound. I've already found and downloaded High Tide off of napster for$.99. Song sounds epic live. Are you saying there is a anthology out there? Or are you just dreaming? That would be fantastic.
