  • Adding salt is a problem though isn't it?

  • @luvintherawlife I use the powdered probiotics from raw food world and just put in a tiny teaspoon and then after blending, you allow it to sit on the counter overnight to ferment. I started making this recipe a couple years ago...I think the word got out because I made a video of it also ;) Another good brand is ascended health liquid probiotics

  • I somehow came up with this recipe also...but I add garlic, lemon juice, habanero and probiotics to mine to make it even more cheezy. I use it mostly to dip romain leaves in (my favorite) but I was also stoked when I discovered that dehydrating it makes it taste like cheese-its. I called them please-its! and my kids love them as well. I don't know how hers looked so yellow, I add RED bell pepper and mine looks pink. When I've used yellow bell, its still pretty awesome but not nearly as cheesy

  • Thank you for the recipe. Fermented with whey. I used it for kale chips.

  • wow that sounds really unhealthy...

  • Wow, What an awesome Mom!! She has got it together! The evidence is in her children. Her oldest daughter was so warm & articulate! Impressive!!

  • Thanks!!!!

  • @inhisgarden; you have to purchase a spiral slicer. Just Google it. Makes great zucchini pasta. @ Angela and Matt; great video. Can't wait to try this. You guys rock.

  • how do you spiral slice zucchini???

  • Can you pleeeeaase let us know how to culture the macadamia nuts? I went out and bought the ingredients, including the nuts and the probiotics. What now? How do I do it? Thanks!!!!!!!!!

  • @rsophiav search: grain free foodie click the "kid friendly" link on the right hand side and scroll down to "Dairy-Free "Cheez-It" Crackers"..... hope this helps! :)

  • Oh man....I need to make this now!!! This is just what I've been looking for. I've been 2 months raw but keep cheating on my kids' MAC N CHEESE (my biggest weakness)!!! I have my solution now! Thank youuuuuuuuu!!!

  • This is definitely one of my favorite recipes. You want to make sure that you blend the nuts and bell pepper super well so that it is really creamy. The crackers are amazing -- I make both the thin version and the thicker version. The thicker version is a great travel buddy as you can make peanut butter cheese crackers by putting some almond butter between two and throw them in a bag. Thanks for the recipe!

  • CAN WE USE ALMONDS INSTEAD OF THE MACADAMIAN NUTS??

  • @TTTTTURTLE, No but I know you can use cashews instead.

  • Im not trying to be mean or any thing but are guys hippies. If so do ypu support peda or other stuff like that

  • Summer, you are a natural chef, do show us more gems if you have some ;D!

  • thank you excellent looks tasty! i will try this, i have tried raw cheescake, with raw cashews, and we loved it so much!! its true you are what you eat, and you two look so radient, like amazing, adam and eve.lol..love you guys and thanks for sharing your love with us!!! Amazing!!

  • I ate it with thin slices of squash but it wasnt good, I liked it on romaine with lots of tomatoes :)

  • I just made this cheese sauce but my blender didnt make it super super smooth and I had to use raosted macadamias because in denmark they only maybe sell the raw ones (in the shell) in december :o I wont make it with roasted again, it tasted good and satisfyed my craving for cheese, but it was a bit too fatty tasting and I am missing the 'bite' the strong taste from real cheese :p I just gotta try it with raw macas :D

  • Could you guys please clarify if the nuts have to be soaked or not? Thanks!

  • @labamba7 always gotta suck, oops i mean soak the nuts.

  • fermented cheez.

  • Help!!!

  • Does the nuts need to be soaked first? Maybe thats the reason why its not comming out thick and creamy.

  • Thank you sweetie hearts!

I just made my first raw item, strawberry/blueberry cheezcake, and it got rave reviews.

Just bought a dehydrator!!! Can't wait to try this.

  • I made this 3 times already and i still cant get the smooth texture like the one she has stored in the container??? I used a high speed commerical vitamix blender. What am i doing wrong here? I know she said to not add water? I also put the bell pepper in first in the blender, than the nuts?

  • I didnt either, but I used raosted nuts maybe it was that, but the skin from the pepper was still not fully blended smooth either :/ Id like to know how to get the smoothness also..

  • Im making this right now. All i gotta say is that, damn this macadamia nuts cost me $15 a pound. I hope it turns out food. Thanks for the recipe summers.

  • Can we use any color bell pepper, or does it have to be yellow bell pepper? Thanks!

  • I'd imagine it helps give it that yellow 'cheesy' color, no? ;))

  • I made it and it was super yummy. I had it over raw kelp noodles. I used an orange bell pepper and almond butter (that is what I had on hand) and it was amazing. Thanks Summer for the recipe and thanks Matt and Angela for your vids!

  • @rawbarbie Could you please let us know if you soaked the nuts? Thanks!

  • I used about a cup of raw almond butter because I didn't have any nuts on hand and it came out great. It thickened up in the fridge after a day or so. I would soak the nuts personally because they blend and digest better as I understand it. :)

  • thanks so much, : ) x

  • @rawbarbie Hmmm great idea! Thanks!

  • yummy! I enjoyed the cheese sauce on brocolli yesterday and I've got crackers drying right now! Really delicious - thank you Summer! Such an easy recipe! Matt/Angela, maybe I could make these for you to sell from your store??? Thanks again for all the great videos!

  • I just made the recipe - not crispy, yet, but with the cayenne it tastes a bit like these frozen pizzas I used to get and eat in one sitting (entirely) as a teenager, washed down with mountain dew while staring at the television. Very delicious (this recipe, not the horrors of my teenage years). I imagine this recipe would work well with cashews or pine nuts, too. Great videos and what a beautiful family!

  • that food looks awesome plus the end of the video was so funny!

  • oh wow, this is amazing! thank you for sharing!

  • for real! i just made the recipe... and it certainly DOES taste like cheez itz... rather, it tastes like what i remember them tasting like 7 years ago.

  • ariana is far too adorable. angela too.

  • I can't wait to make these, I loved cheeses before i became Raw. Bet these don't stain the fingers like cheeses do, they should include a pair of rubber gloves in the bag when you buy them lol!....

  • I'm so going to try this recipe! Thanks! <3

  • What did she culture the cheese with? Can anyone tell me? :)

  • probiotics. I would just use the powder in probiotic pills.

  • And how would you process on making the cheese? Do you simply stir it in and let it rest for a day or two? Thanks :)

  • Well, I would blend it all together using un-soaked nuts, pour it in a glass jar (don't fill it up all the way though because it would probably expand! that's what happens with my coconut yogurt) and wait a day or so! I will actually try this next week. If you attempt this, please tell me if you like it! :D

  • I will definitely try it out soon. I will let you know about it. I'm pretty sure I will love it! Thanks! ;)

  • Can't wait to hear back from you! Oh and PS, some people use rejuvelac instead probiotic powder. Good luck.

  • Great video! Loved Summer's daughter. So well spoken and sweet.....you guys are awesome as always!

  • Cheezin!!! :) B boxin Angela on the raw food world ya all! lol :P I can't wait to make some cheese!! angela look all sad when there after she finished hers lol :)

  • Great episode! Meredith is going to make me some cheese-it crackers now... yeah!!! I didn't know Angela could beat box... HOLLA! ::)

  • I am going to make it today and hope that my husband, 2 girls and son will like it. I like this recipe myself already.

  • lol! Im definitly makin some of those! I like the moby but the Ergo is way more sturdy and will grow with your child till age 4! moby wraps are great till about 6 months.
