Edberg's strongest weapon was his weakest in that match and Courier used his chances. I like Edberg a lot

For me both were great and fair players. They had my sympathy. In this match I was for Edberg, because I thought Courier would dominate the men singles tour for a decade. Silly, if you see, how things went on, but in a short period from 1991-1993 Courier were unstoppable.

edberg was better on faster hard courts like the US open where he beat courier in 92
