Haha, the ironic thing is that you called a company stupid when you couldn't even spell the companies name right. It's Mercedes bro, and it has a history of over 125 years and it's the most popular car when it comes to luxury sedans and high-end SUVs. The 2nd generation QX looks kinda weird but has a great interior. But you shouldn't simply go around saying that BMW is stupid, BMW and Mercedes are the safest cars around so read about them before simply bashing them. Peace.
More importantly, the LX570 is VERY unsafe. The accident was at freeway speed and the vehicle quickly lurched nearly 180 degrees to the right upon impact. The side airbags faild to deploy and myself and the passenger behind me were slammed into the doors/pillars/windows. Lexus's excuse after I demanded they pay our medical bills? The side airbags are only regulated by pressure sensors in the doors...they don't factor in lateral movement like BMW, Infiniti, Merc, Acura, all do. $90k of shit...
Love this car. Hated the exterior at first, but it grows on you. Prior to this, I had the 2010 LX570 which was crashed/totalled 6 months after purchase. Aside from the cheap wood and metals that scratched horribly, the third row seats are a joke, and the tech is seriously lacking when compared to the QX56. My biggest complaints were the shitty handling, VERY poor finish quality, endless rattles, outdated tech. Positive? We got a check for $83k when it was totalled with 10k miles on it...not bad!
@aaad917 The LX is essentially an over priced Land Cruiser. For $79K I rather have taste and go with the Range Rover. The LX is no better then its competitors like the Audi Q7, Infiniti QX56 & Range Rover HSE.

I really don't agree with this guy's taste. I think the QX and the LX both look unappealing, and the LX is overpriced. I don't know why this guy has a problem with the Escalade sharing it's body with the Tahoe. The LX shares it's body with the Land Cruiser. I think you get the best bang for your buck if you buy a GMC Yukon Denali

I agree absolutely on everthing this guy said. I couldn´t have had said it better myself. The Escalade is was off in styling.. plain old. And the LX570 would also be my top pick.

This guy definitely knows his stuff (about SUV's), but his score of #1 for the Lexus LX is gross. That is the F-ugliest SUV on the road. Not to mention, grossly overpriced!

The Infiniti QX56 has a larger more powerful engine then the LX not to mention it is powered by a class leading 5.6-liter V8 that produces 400 hp while the the LX has a 5.7-liter V8 383 HP engine & the QX is the same size as the LX if not larger and Infiniti is a Luxury brand
@BMWDRE10 Yeah, his guy seems to know his stuff and doesnt blab on about stupid unnecessary attributes of other SUVs. I also disagree with his choice of putting the UGLY Lexus in first place, I just wish BMW had an SUV of this size to compare to. Haha something like a X7... if only.
I looked at both and ended up purchasing a LX570 for a few good reasons.
1) RESALE! Just go on autotrader now and you'll see that the resale (considering most are between $80-$90k) is usually far better than RR or even the previous QX.
2) Lets be honest...the QX is really freak'n ugly. It looks very much like the driving toaster known as the Scion XB. Its just loud and flashy...kinda ghetto really.
3) The LX is still far better offroad and offers several more offroad features
The QX is now the same car as the new Nissan Patrol which was one of the toughest 4x4 ever built. It was called "The Land Cruiser Killer", it's been around since 1951 - longer than the LC ('54) or Range Rover ('70). I've got the previous version called Y61 and must admit that the car is just indestructible. It has live axles so is a bit uncomfortable, and that's its weak point ;)
