I agree. The only real fighting that I've seen Seagal do wasn't real at all. It was some staged aikido demonstrations with a bunch of guys half his size.
seagal has a black belt in judo, karate, and wing chun so he does know martial arts that would help him in competitive fighting. although i do think daniels would win without a doubt i think seagal could do well.

Either way come on, that was a pretty terrible scene where neither was doing their best stuff up there. Too slow, no kicks, and the camera work was WAY TOO CLOSE to even see anything in detail and with awful lighting and flow! Well Seagal is a seventh dan in Aikido. Aikido is pretty useful, but Gary, as you said, was a kickboxer, and a very incredible martial artist. I agree Gary would kick Seagal's ass.

Aikido is good to fight against guys who don't know how to fight and can only use strength. kickboxong is something different. guys no how to use their punches and kicks, and aikido wont be good against them. kickboxing is used in mma, so its not shit. aikido is the most useless and impractical martial arts discipline out there. seagal is good, but he's old as hell. gary would kill him.

I'm sure Jean Claude Van damme would in a real incident when at Sylvester Stalones place Van Damme got tired of Seagal saying he could kick his ass, so Van Damme angrily told him to step outside but Seagal backed out of it and went to a nearby bar but Van Damme tracked him and kept challenging him but Seagal still backed out. Stalone said if it had come to a fight he's sure Seagal would have fallen deficient.

seagal is a grand master in aikido, he fights better in real life, have you eva been to one of his demos ??? there frankly amazin and he didnt just do aikido either, he did karate origanally before seeing a little jap do aikido at a football game and then he started aikido aswell!! he also studies kendo judo and jujitsu and as for chuck norris he jsut did karate which aikido wins over any day of the week, just check out the karate vs aikido vid of utube!!

Either way come on, that was a pretty terrible scene where neither was doing their best stuff up there. Too slow, no kicks, and the camera work was WAY TOO CLOSE to even see anything in detail and with awful lighting and flow! They should have got a better director for that whole damned movie scene instead of whoever did that travesty!

BTW Seagal also did movies where he "killed" Randy Couture, and even Rickson Gracie! Please please please...don't be fooled into believing somthing you saw in a movie.
