when the passengers are not in imminent danger, I think they normally take it slower, since they don't want to get injured.

Also, the 90 second regulation is for aircraft testing, so it can be certified, I don't believe it technically applies to real life evacuation.

I've had 3 in my life. And the passengers have to be out in less then 90 seconds. It's a rule, not a suggestion. nd it's not for a certification, mate. Believe me. I crew evacuated 737 with 122 pax, and 767 with almost 250 first in 49 seconds, other in 51. The planes were full. And passenger's lives depends on us. We don't "take it slow" or "easy".

And they have to be trained to do that. It's not a big aircraft. Even with one of the slides not inflated.
