  • that just blew my fucking mind

  • FUCK SCHOOL this guy proves it :P

  • @slimturnpike: ha qualitee!

  • @mashupski oops i meant to write 8 dollar ;)

  • The riff here actually sounds a lot 'chunkier' than the official video. I wish they made it so it was better quality with much 'fuller' riff heard.

  • Three string Jimmy! Remember I said it first! LOL I love this guy. Peace

  • Dunno why I like him but I do.... good stuff.

  • Qualitaaay

  • The guy's a pure rhythm machine.

  • this man is the bluesiest guy on the face of this earth. BB King, Muddy Waters, and Stevie Ray Vaughan have nothing on Seasick Steve.

  • Can only say one thing RESPECT!! Amezing!!

  • When Seasick play Villanova Junction I'll be convinced by the Hendrix comparisons.

Good because he is like Seasick not because he is like Hendrix.

  • @AnniesEggs English please

  • Had a real crap week -- that sure cheered me up this Friday evening -- thanks Steve man 5*

  • Reminds me a bit about Jimi Hendrix version of mannish boy. Anybody else?

    Seasick steve FTW

  • Yes it does ;)

  • yeah this does sound more henrixy than most of his stuff. but still awesome

  • didnt say it wasnt.

  • go tramp man go

  • lol

  • Damn, It's all good!

  • you annoy me, get lost n dont comment were its not needed assaface

  • Then why are you wasting your time and leaving comments here? Instead, try watching something you actually like.

  • He gets away with just 2 riffs that are pretty much the same, a spoken line and the most obvious almost-drum beat you can have... so THAT is what I call a good riff!!!

Sitting on a chair, no bright-coloured flashing moving lights, no "hero" pose, no intro, no keyboard filler... Wouldn't it be great to call Dream Theater and tell them we have a guy that could teach them some very important stuff about music and such? :P

  • Yeah, i'm not too sure about comparing those two artists... nevertheless, it is good to hear something so bare and raw

  • hello from belgium - you new king nice blues sorry for me anglish

  • that riff is naaasty. love it.

  • He aint fake they went to the area he claimed to be homeless in to disprove his claim, with a TV crew.

They showed the store owner (steve slept around back of the store) a pic of steve and the owner said "yeah i recall him has he died now?"

ill find the clip i thinks its on here, nah he is for real

  • why does he like to be called seasick steve?

  • Cos he gets sick on boats

  • And in cars, but carsick steve isn't a good name comared to seasick steve =D

  • neither is boatsick,,, seasick is just the right amount of sick :D

    Blues on mr. seasick

  • because one day on a boat tour a guy went up to him and asked, hey steve ur seasick, and from then on he reverted to his name as seasick steve

  • who gives a shit about whats been claimed 'bout him. what his politics are . when he sings and plays non of that bullshit matters. i wish i had a tenth of his genius or talent.

  • There's no doubt he is a wonderful, and natural musician and the MUSIC itself sounds genuine no doubt. But the reality behind what is being claimed about him, I'm not so sure.

  • if you were homeless for years it wouldn't be your favourite subject. he had a heart attack quite young due to his "lifestyle" on the street, real enough for you?

  • @nessiebreath What does intelligence have to do with lifestyle, he could be homeless and smart! And maybe he looks self conscious whenever being interviewed about his history because he is more modest and less self important than you obviously are.

  • fuck theevilplatypus

  • You are fake.

  • hendrix stle baby!!!

  • This so great!!check this up on my space "Hurley and the blue dots"the same raw uncut sound

  • I hope this man keeps going and going and keeps blues alive, we should never forget the roots!

    Peace

  • steve is the real deal, as real as it gets, this man has lived the hard life and plays the true blues...steve owns

  • i dont fkin care. he plays blues. a hell of a lot better then most others.

  • god bless steve, he makes me happy, the dudes fuckin so grounded, so humble, just like the pie.x

  • he's well good at guitar

  • An American gem.

  • he's awesome, though to me he sounds alot like hendrix if he was semiacoustic -great stuff

  • its called blues ...

  • i can see where youre coming from

  • I saw Steve at Glastonbury [2008] and most people around me had never heard of him. Halfway through the 2nd song the whole crowd was tapping their feet and clapping. Seasick is fucking brilliant! Such a down to earth guy!

  • It was exactly the same at the roskilde festival a couple of days ago. People just couldn't get enough of him.

  • and Latitude too, he was so awesome, we all loved him!

  • he`S a genius!

  • anybody knows what that tune?????

  • I think its Open G, i know 'Cut my Wings' is in Open G.

  • he has a track that sounds like roadhouse blues! not too fucking shabby mate! who gives a fuck where hes from!! who does better these days! he can play like hendrix in his own special way! better than all the samey shitey bands these days! apart from baby lemonade, oh check tinariwen out!! they are like the rolling stones+ the clash and the desert together!! seen them?!! they are even better than seasick steve!! can you dig it?!!

  • And if you like Tinariwen you should check out Abdullah Ibrahim, Ali Farka Toure.. Definately Ali Farka Toure man! An always, always be checkin out Ry Cooder the man is the desert himself!! Trust me man. His guitar blows the warm winds round my head an i feel the sand beneath my feet, check it out.. Ry Cooder.

  • yep spot on mate!! already dig those great guys! legends everyone of them! arthur lee and love are special too!

  • british mate, fool. get wise. smoke a bomb, listen 2 my profile.

  • chill the fuck out and stop being so ignorant. people start wars talking shit like that.

  • Grow up

  • Thanks for pointing out Ry Cooder:D Just checked him out he sounds awsome

  • i dont know why but i could never get into blues music whether its traditional or not but this tune is class.

  • Funny thing- He's got that Southern accent-- but he's West Coast. Bugs the shit outta me, being from The South. He can sure jam, tho'! Not bad for one of them Cali-foreigns.

  • Excellent! It is from this kind of Delta Blues that early British Rock bands were spawned - Type in: *Free Mr Big* into you tube and you will see where the early 70's rock bands took blues to. I loved the bands back then. That is Paul Rodgers signing and Andy was 15 when he joined as the bass player. Paul Kossoff on guitar. RIP - he was ace. They toured with Zep when they were 17

  • yeah reminds me of voodoo chile aswell :L!!

just makes u wanna get up and jam with whateveru can!!!

  • Yep I was there too at pukkelpop and he signed my guitar. (at humo)

  • I saw him Thursday at Pukkelpop ! He was awesome :D

  • reminds me of a hendrix song .

  • Since i've seen MAYBE 5 vids of this guy (all from you actually) it's a little hard to tell. this one is kinda reddy-brown...

  • i just got the album "Cheap" whats the remix track all about?!

im seeing stevey again in liverpool in november i canny wait! what a guy he signed an album for me too :)

  • well thats not the 3 stringer, that one has six, man it just sounds funky as hell. Most of that comes from his fingers though.

  • pretty sure the "3 string trance wonder" is always in the same tuning. it says it on the wikipedia page of him... but i forgot it. then again, i'm not 100% sure that IS the 3 string trance wonder. so... yeah. Probly open G or something.

  • The trance wonder is his red guitar - this isn't it :)

  • also does anyone know what tuning he's in on this one?

  • Yeah but it's all good yall. Does anyone have a vid of him playin thunderbird? You guys should be glad you get to see him live. I hope he comes to the states sometime soon.

  • No videos of it, sorry, but it is now available on the EP "It's All Good". You could get an import from Amazon, I expect!

  • This guy is the real deal. It was an awesome gig to be at!
