Way to much from ff 7 for my taste (for squaresoft's first final fantasy on a cd, I expected it to sound like a symphony did the soundtrack, but it sounded like the same quality from the snes).

9 doesnt get enough credit. theres a little bit of every final fantasy in it. whether it be in the music, the gameplay, the storyline, the world map, anywhere. without doubt my favorite and the music in it is just to die for lol. the story also keeps you into the game so you cant really get bored. its just an all around fantastic game

i like to say i'm an ff fan because i own all the main ones except 2, 10, 10-2, 11 and 14

but the only one i have finished is 4 :(

@kingyleon I own every main FF title except XI. I've completed I, IV, VII, VIII, IX, X and XIII. I've also mastered VII, VIII and IX. ^^

I think Aerith's theme captures the more tender and sensitive side of Final Fantasy, while Terra's theme takes the more determined, battle-prepared side.

Vamo alla flamenco and the battle theme from IX would be higher up on my list for sure. Then again my top 10 would consist of FFVII, IX songs, Liberi Fatali and To Zanarkand because i never really played FFI-IV, V or VI. :(

IMO Still More Fighting (49?!) and Hunter's Chance shoulda been top 5, with Vamo' alla Flamenco top 10. I would also put Memoria, Qu's Marsh, Freya's theme and Sprouting somewhere highish too. Good list though.

Great choices! There is so much good music it is hard to choose sometimes. I'm quite surprised you had nothing from FF4 or FF12. Have you played them?

There's ONE piece from 4 wedged in there at #14 - the main theme. Nothing at all in any of these from 1, 2 or 3, though, which is a shame because I thought those had some better music than a lot of what was posted in the videos. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions though.
