very consistent shots a very nice back hand. I think now you need to teach fred footwork. I have seen your other vids of you playing you certainly know how to move in table tennis.
@TheYoungsetTTcoach Fred's footwork is probably the main focus at the moment. He is considerably better than in this old vid, but there are always improvements to be made.
He doesn't do the crossover stuff half as much now. Footwork is improving all the time. He is doing more multiball now and people are keeping a better eye on his feet (not so easy when feeding to him). It all takes time though but he has plenty of time to get things right.
He is using a Galaxy T-11 with 1.5mm Gambler Six Shooter on both sides. I'm thinking about changing him back to Dawei Inspirit though as it lasts much longer and doesn't chip at the edges when you hit the table. Quite an advantage for a rubber to have when your owner is so small.
I think that he progress, he is more powerful and he moves much more. On top of that, it looks to like to entrainer, I hope that he is going to go on! does he learn services?
His power is improving, we are trying to develop it through consistency and increasing the pace gradually rather than teaching him a different stroke. His movement is quite a bit better in this vid, but he still has some of his own ideas about how to move at times.
He has the topspin serve which he has done in a few vids, and a tomahawk serve, but he doesn't do it against me as it kicks quite a bit when I return it.
I hope he will go on playing too, he'll certainly be encouraged to continue.
As you can see, I don't take too much time planning what I am going to wear before I go in front of the camera.
It is a little more difficult to get clips of him playing tennis as he only plays against other kids and would be a bit dodgy to put clips on without asking parents.
I'll have a 2nd go at replying to this. You are right, I'm wrong. It is the thinner one that he is using and that is the T-11. It was early in the morning when I replied.
He has one which started off at 65g and that is before I filed plenty off the handle and a little off the shoulders. It can't be much over 60g now.

he's got good cross-over footwork to his wide fh
could be looking at a potentially fantastic fh pivot player..

Sorry to ask but is that concrete flooring or rubber?
takkyuHero 2 years ago
It has tiles on the surface, I think it is a sprung floor underneath though.
