I think I have weight distribution tackled with my ponch but was thinking to get to work on plumbing on her. What turbo are you using or what may be an obtainable equivalent? Thanks love it!
Nice work. The (stock) zrx that I rode a couple of years back was a wheelie MONSTER. The mods to keep the front end down on yours are obviously working a treat, especially with a boosted motor.
It's all about making power...bike runs like totally stock when not boosting (because it is)... then runs like it has twice the HP at 14-15psi boost...because it does...
WTF?!! okay...I just got over your 1 finger on the throttle 10.75 and now got floored with this Busa stomping run. This might be the first bike in history with a hairy chest instead of a radiator and a pair of big brass ones under the tail light!!
I have an 05 zrx and have trouble keeping the front down without turbo, wouldn't you get far better results with an extended swing arm? or is that not alowed in your racing class?
I just don't understand you shift from first, to second, to third THEN you put your feet on the pegs. I'm new to drag racing. Someone please explain how this works.
This bike is VERY prone to picking the front wheel up...
If it's not up in 1st gear...theres a good chance it will come up when shifted into second-or-3rd because the boost is set to 4psi for 1st, 8PSI for 2nd and 14PSI from 3rd gear up...
There is a much better chance of keeping it down with feet off pegs as seen here...
It didn't come up in 2nd on this run because it spun the tire...
Most if not all ProRiders do the same thing on bikes that have a LOT more power than this bike...
@BroFeMan Air shifter of some sort, or electronically with a button or something probably. I dont know why this guy didnt tell you, i dont really know for sure either but just a guess.
The trick for proper tunung on this bike and another ZRX1100 that I tuned to 500Hp. blowing through CR FlatSlide Carbs was to pressurise the fuel bolw by way of a pitot tube...
Hey man, i have the same bike and want to put a turbo on it, if you could give me some info on what turbo you used and the specs, that would be great. thanks
It's working quite well! I looked at your other videos, and you don't lose any boost at all. In fact, it seems like you are if anything, limiting your boost in the lower gears, then ramping up the pressure as you go up the gears. Regardless, excellent bike control!
Hrhr, ill just shut up now, he doesnt have his feet on the pegs yet and shifts.. so its a shifter alright. (Btw I know quickshifter as the system that cuts the throttle before you shift) Pneumatic shifter stuff owns! :P

How do you switch gears without having your foot on the pedal? I heard him switching 2 gears when his feet were still hovering above the ground.

@jiser911
Air Shifter...I push a button to shift gears...
Pretty much all bikes that Drag Race have Air Shifters...

Nice, it looks like the lead was worth it. Didnt raise...

Thank You...
I put spacers inside the forks to lower the front and also strap it down more when at the track...
You can simply slide the forks up some in the triple trees so you don't have to take fork apart...
Custom made JMC swingarm with the shock mounts moved back to lower the rear...
I would consider getting a McIntosh... pricey but top quality...
They can extend your also..

Bike looks mean lowered.what did u use to lower the front and. What swing arm is that.would like to lower my zrx1100 bike looks hot.keep racing.

@kcadby how much would a turbo cost to have installed? im a regular use rider too so i would be using it for everyday use. would it be a bad idea?

Look closer...the swingarm isn't stock...
It's 4" longer than stock...
I don't want it any longer because it would ruin the "fun" on the street...

upgrade the bike???
it's got a 1/4 mile time of 9.2s @ 148.6mph and has a turbocharger... i don't think you could get this bike much faster.

I take it you have a quickshifter?
It's working quite well! I looked at your other videos, and you don't lose any boost at all. In fact, it seems like you are if anything, limiting your boost in the lower gears, then ramping up the pressure as you go up the gears. Regardless, excellent bike control!
Nelso90 3 years ago
He did state that in the comments of one of his other vids - boost goes up. 1st gear .3 bar, 2nd gear .5, the rest 1 bar.
Doesnt sound like a quickshifter to me, just shutting the throttle.. but im not sure.
Pogost1ck 3 years ago
Hrhr, ill just shut up now, he doesnt have his feet on the pegs yet and shifts.. so its a shifter alright. (Btw I know quickshifter as the system that cuts the throttle before you shift) Pneumatic shifter stuff owns! :P
