We would find metal studs and add some discrete extra L shape brackets as a little belt and braces better safe than sorry or cut a hole and slide some timber up behind the bracket location . Good look
I know this might sound bit of a silly question but I'm installing my first kitchen (my own) and so far so good with all the base units. Just got one question though. Do those fixings seen in the video work with hollow wall construction? I've got to put up 2 glass fronted wall units each weighing 18 kilos but not sure if 13mm thick plasterboard and steel frame internal wall construction will take that weight using heavy rated hollow wall fixings. Should I add reinforcement first?
I tried to obtain this product as it could prove to be useful, I phoned the given and was told that it isn,t available to the general public, to get the magicfit you first have to buy kitchen units from either Magnet & Southern or Homebase before you can buy the kit.
Always consider hidden pipe work and electrics . Setting out of the units properly as re fixing to plasterboard can be tricky if you have to move a wall bracket a small distance. On a Magnet kitchen wall bracket i never use the centre screw hole as i think this weakens the plaster board too much. Hope this helps a little.
Excellent video, I'm just about to install my first kitchen and you series of videos will be very helpful. Could you please advise me about installing the wall unit on to a plasterboard wall? Anything I need to consider?
Sorry that you are having problems finding this on line. Homebase kit can be ordered in store and magnet kit should be in store. Magnet have just changed from 15mm carcase to 18mm . Make Shaw it says 18 mm on the box.
My god, thats amazing, where can i get this kit from? Ive tried the magnet and Homebase stores online but can not find it anywhere. Uploader, it would be very much appreciated if you could point me in the right direction ;)

If you want the installation kit, you can buy them from the trade sales department at any local magnet store.
If they don't have a trade sales then speak to the branch manager and he can order one in for you.
Simples......
