I like the trick, but I don't like the idea of putting holes in money, but there is probably a way to "buy" a dollar from the government so that your not circulating (or encouraging the circulation of) damaged money. Awesome trick though, blew my mind, but as with many tricks, it's best to not let the people handle the prop because given enough time, they will find out.

I tried it and just made a slit on this line with a very sharp knife (I don't know what it's called in English I'm afraid) and it works :)

I like it. How about this natural setup idea? Include the trick bill as part of your tip before you leave, then pull it back suggesting you've put in a dollar too much. When you take the trick bill back, you can conveniently recall a great trick with a std dollar bill! Then it distracts from the suggestion that you've pulled some special bill from your wallet.
