For instance, the Belgian Camille Jenatzy drove his car to the land speed record of 105.88km(h (65,79mph) on April 29'th 1899. Yes 1899.
The world's first motor race for cars was the Paris-Rouen race on July 22'nd 1894.The 2nd and 3rd place cars were Peugeouts
