  • Honestly high intensity interval training is the best way to lose fat but also gain a little bit of muscle too. I have been doing a slightly higher intensity circuit for about a month and i have lost 10 lb but have increased my strength for all my exercises too. Its a hard workout but it is the fastest way to get into beast mode.

  • Lol during my recovery period i get off the machine and walk

  • Fat-loss:95%diet. Proper exercise maintains muscle, no exercise does much for fat-loss. HIIT's high-impact,bad for the out of shape & overweight, an aerobic/anaerobic compromise, not optimal for muscle. HighIntensity(Weight)Training's low impact & more flexible to condition of the subject. The exercises build muscle & keeping breaks short condition the aerobic & metabolic systems. A properly done 30min session feels like you ran the whole time, without impact, without muscle wasting.

  • so basically an example of high intensity interval training is sprinting really really fast like 30-40 seconds?

  • Just tried this out on my treatdmill, kinda scary running at high speeds so I was holding on to the handle bars the whole time, felt kinda retarded but yeah. This workout knocks you out alot harder than just jogging. 10 mins is probably equivilant to a 30 minute jog

  • those machines were not meant to do that. It's highly impractical each time you want to change rhythm you have to press a button and wait for it. The ideal is for that kind of speed variation is to actually run either on a track or on the street etc where you can do those sudden changes without these problems. Besides, I think that may not that be good for the machine and there's always the risk of falling since there's a reasonable level of difficulty to operate the machine while running fast

  • Hello there! Have you considered intellectus diet (search on google for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some great things about it and my work buddy lost a ton of weight with it.

  • Sprint for 30 seconds, jog for 90 seconds, repeat. Do this for 20 minutes.

  • Very clear tutorial, thx.

  • I can only do about 20 secs of all out sprinting but no more than that. Is that still good enough? Because 45 secs seems like a whole lot.

  • @piggypops78 its 45 rest (jogging) and 15 second sprinting ..if you do that probably ur heart is going to explode

  • @piggypops78 Do what you can. It doesn't matter, as long as you're working hard as you can. Over time you'll be able to sprint for so much longer.

  • Very few people can sprint for 30-45 seconds rest for a short time and then sprint again more than about 3-4 times. You need to explain to begginners that not being able to do that is not uncommon or bad you can still do HIIT if you can't do that much.

  • Here is 30 mins treadmill cardio guide: 5 mins warm up 30 seconds sprint 5 mins the speed you can complete comfortabely 5 mins the speed you stuggle to complete 5 mins the speed you can complete comfortabely 30 seconds sprint 4 mins speed you can complete comfortabely 30 second sprint 4 mins slow walking Sprint to failure(30-45 seconds) Hope i helped . Its better to sprint 30 seconds then struggling to complete workout. It will give you enough time to get your breathe back and sprint again.
  • me and my did use to do that , he called em fartlicks , i loled said he made that up

looked it up on google and turns out he wasnt xD

  • dude this makes you lose so much muscle

  • @dannyloveisevol Actually if you look at the studies about HIIT (eg. the Tabata HIIT study), the results showed HIIT burns fat while retaining and toning the muscles. Post exercise, fat continues to burn significantly for longer period of time (as compared to standard cardio workout) . But make sure to have an adequate supply of carbs -and protein for your muscle- because high amounts of energy is certainly needed to execute a successful HIIT routine.

  • @MDZZ86 oh lol thanks cause some other people told me false facts

  • So if I were to run for ninety seconds then how long should my cooldown period be?

  • @yongster89 You can sprint for 90 seconds??

  • @WNYfishingAdventures after you slow down , how long do I need to wait go back to 10m/s?

  • @NasmerTheGuitarist

i looked around and some guy says 2 : 1 ratio , so 2 min fast . 1 min rest , or 1 min fast 30 seconds rest

  • hi people , i want to understand fully . er , he said intervals . so the part i do when from 10m/s to 3.5m/s , after that i straight go back to 10m/s after how long? someone please reply me thanks :)

  • i added these 2 times a week. 9.5,mph 45sec then 3.5mph for 1 min, i do this 10x. (6'3'' 280lbs) I have lost extra lbs but more importantly on my cardio days ive noticed i dont even get winded at all. I also added to my intesity on cardio for bike, elipticals and treadmill. I think it does burn more calories, and allows the flight or fight respose to kick in. It has also helped my super sets in strength training as i dont seem to get winded as much! Just my thoughts!!

  • Thank you very much

  • You never said how long to recover for before your next sprint

  • I'm kinda lost you said not to drop from like 10mph to 8mph but to go down to a walk, its okay to walk. Is it okay to go from 10 mph to 5/6mph cause 5/6 mph for me is relatively easy to recover and go for the next sprint

  • can you do interval just to lose weight? or you have to be like a weight lifter in order to do interval?

  • Try 1min run 30sec walk

  • I wanted to know what does the treadmill do... I usually run on it, about 30 or 45 minutes. does it help out your stomach out at all?

  • How long do you walk for though??

  • Writing for a magazine is hardly reliable... In fact, only some of the truth is told in most magazines, and a lot of the remaining truth is not disclosed. Although there is research (from scientific journals... NOT magazines) supporting his claim, you cannot escape the fact that Aerobic Steady State training is ALSO very effective in burning Fat Calories. Although cardio can be "boring" I wonder if the "Interval" ploy is more to do with selling product rather than spreading complete truth?!

  • @fitprokinetics true, but intveral training is PROVEN to work BETTER :)

  • @hunkyjelly Proven to work better for who? Although it is true that interval training is an effective way to burn fat, stating that it simply works better is quite misleading and NOT 100% accurate! Interval training's effectiveness is at it's best when the participant has a metabolism that is able to burn fuel efficiently and effectively... to simply assume that it works for everyone is simply ignorant! So, if you have CREDIBLE research with evidence proving me wrong, throw it my way!

  • @fitprokinetics you ask and i deliver. /watch?v=7sGZ0UCsW8I&list=PL87A98578638C8BE3&index=24&feature=plpp_video

I personally don't have statistics, but google it which is better if you're in doubt. i know the facts but you're in doubt so not my problem.

  • @hunkyjelly OMG! This is your evidence? Google it? Have you ever been to College or University? You obviously DON'T know all the facts... I'm not an amateur, and you're ignorance is frustrating! Please educate your self before replying back!

  • @fitprokinetics what's your problem now? ive agreed with you that yes interval training isn't for everyone. and yes the facts are true, interval training consistently proves it is better than cardio for increasing your V02 max, increasiing your lactate threshold, lowering your BP, improving your vascular endurance. QUICKER than boring cardio.

i cant send you a website link :/

  • @hunkyjelly My original concern with the video was with the claim that it is "better" for BURNING FAT, NOT with the other things you just mentioned which are true... quit trying to sound smart by changing the subject with semantics! Your point was that it simply "is proven to work better", and I asked for whom, and you could not give an intelligent reply back. If you can verify your claim through proof of a scientific journal, then I will take you seriously... otherwise, this is the end! Thanks

  • @fitprokinetics just going around in circles now too thick and stubborn goodbye, and im "trying to sound intelligent", fuck sorry for speaking english then.

and it is better for burning fat? thick as a brick if that's even possible mate dont reply back because i wont answer kbai

  • @fitprokinetics can you put up some research that proves otherwise? and me going to college or uni doesnt correlate between the results LOL

  • @fitprokinetics Ive posted a link on your channel, i really hope you read it

  • @fitprokinetics btw start @ 0:45 on the video

  • So after the 30-45 second sprint, how long do I walk for to complete one interval?

  • @fireman1701A Okay I read that you walk for the same amount of time e.g 30-40sec.

  • Does this work if you jog in place?

  • damn! exactly what I needed to know man! Thanks!

  • Nice tips. Thanks very much for the video!

  • so combined with a good diet and some moderate weight exercise, if the cardio i do is HIIT, then i will lose a lot of fat?

  • doesnt high intensity burn your muscle away?

  • This is how I do my HIIT:

I start running at 97.5 mph for two and a half hours.

Then I sprint at 35 mph for four hours.

    I repeat this 400,050 times.

    Total workout time: 4.2 seconds.

  • @xTHExFALLx yeah right!!!! LOL

  • @CrissySnow

Chrissy! What are you doing back here so soon, I thought you and Janet had plans at the Regal Beagle tonight? :0

  • could i do this by sprinting on a stadium?

  • i'm not going to trust anyone who can't even speak right he said "fitter" it is more fit dumbass.

  • @iswakeboarder retard

  • is 6.5 speed setting on a treadmill high enough for the sprint?

  • This is how I do my HIIT

I immediately start running at 7.5 mph for 4 minutes

Then I sprint at 10 mph for 1 minute and then drop my speed down to 7.5

I repeat this 5 times and then I cool down!

Total work out time: 30 minutes!

  • This is how i do my treadmill workout:

Walk @ 3.4 Mph for the first 5 minutes.

then i sprint @ 8 MPH. for two minutes

then i just walk a minute and run @ 8 MPH minute

Total work out time 20:00 .

  • yes sir...I used to run steady state cardio

BP was at 135/84 resting heart rate of 65

started doing some crazy kickboxer's intervals

down to 125/71 Resting heart rate of 45

    that is in 6 months!

someone said prolonged cardio is better for the heart

    these results speak for themselves

  • is this the best thing for love hadles? im skinny but i cant get rid of em

  • @charliebell01 Yea you could do this, but it will only work if you eat properly.

  • someone help me please.... does this make sense for a warmup/ HIIT to my weightlifting routine? 30 seconds incline treadmill sprints, cooldown 30 seconds, increase spreed/incline and sprint another 30 seconds, cooldown 30 seconds, increase speed/ full incline and finish with another 30 second sprint, rest a bit then start my weight lifting routine?

  • @utubename88 no, do it after. don't tire yourself out before you lift

  • @utubename88 no cardio is best done after weight training so not only you lift more...but you can deplete glycogen stores. The more empty glycogen stores are the more fat you burn

  • anouther good thing about interval training is that it can help to build mussle mass aswell when combined with weight training

  • How long is the recovery period between intervals? would i be correct in assuming its until your body has regained its abiltiy to sprint to at least 90% of its non fatigued potential?

  • This works. I tried normal jogging 30 mins, 5 days a week and didn't lose much weight. I started doing HIIT (sprinting/walking) last month and have noticed much better results.

  • This guy is quite good!

  • I dont get HIT is it suppose to be instead of the warmup or on one of my freedays(where I dont use the gym)

and also I play Taekwando twice a week 2 hours each session is that considered HIT

a reply would be appreciated :)

  • alright i was doing that for a while as part of my tennis fitness , so im gonna try that out even more and see how fast it burns

  • so when i spring i do it for 2 min then rest 2 min is that bad for u to do if ur trying to loose fat and maintain muscle?

  • hey man would this also make me run longer and if you do a 40 second sprint would u do a 40 second walk after

  • @XxROBERTSONx Check what i said about that timing issue.

  • i been doing this for two days and its great workout

  • i started interval training 2 months ago for 15 minutes a day in my 30min a day treadmill routine in order to lose my pot belly. it's not as big as it was anymore but it's still round while i'm losing fat in other parts of my body much faster. what can i do to make belly fat loss faster?

  • @ohsulof4321 a good diet, speed up your metabolism by eating 6-7 small meals a day spaced out and keep up with your cardio, the idea is to burn more calories than you intake also, situps, crunches and abdominal workouts will not burn the fat off your stomach. this is what i have been told and i have achieved great results from it weight training is also good for overall fat burn too.

  • short n sweet, just like me in bed!!!

  • Hey, how long (post warmup) should i do it? i've done windsprints like this, (8-9mpg) for 30-45 secs, 30 second rest, repeat 3-4x...usually about 5 mins..is that too long? it burns a TON of calories and really works your core which is a good warmup for working abs

  • what if you drop it down to around 5.2 miles per hour so you can just do a light jog in between the sprints. Is this good too or should I just drop it to a walking pace like you did.

  • @mt80008 always drop to a walking pace if you dont you will just saty in the anaerobic phase and just be doing standard cardio, good luck

  • @mt80008 Man you have to drop down to a walking pace so you fully recover so you can go at max speed for another 15-45 seconds

if i go fast as i can for 45 seconds divide that by 2 then round out so my rest would be anywhere from 22-27seconds

If i go as fast as i can for 20 seconds my rest time is anywhere from 10-15seconds.

    And so forth

    Then i repeat.

  • how long should the cool down be??? a minute or so???

  • so my highest is 11.0 or 11.5 i do

    2 min- 8.0 warm up

    30 sec- 11.0

    1min- 4.0

repeat, also can you or should you increase rest like 4.0 then next time you do it its 4.1 then 4.3?

  • Can you do HIIT with other exercises like squat thrusts, burpees etc and apply the same rules?

  • @royvered100 if your interested in building up some condition and have a hiit style workout with bodyweight stuff you might want to look up Escalating density training (EDT). set a goal of 5pushups, and 2 pullups then a time limit of 10minutes. do a set of pushups rest 15seconds then do a set of pullups arest 15seconds etc until the 10minutes is up. if you cant get those reps each set then increase the rest time by 10seconds as needed. the next workout do the same but try to beat the number

  • @0587dave of reps you did last workout. so if you were able to do every set with the same amount of rest then increase doing 10reps pushups and maybe 4 reps pullups the next workout or keep the same number reps and increase the workout to 15minutes and continue. it can be used with weights or bodyweight stuff but i find its best to alternate antagonistic bodyparts. once your up to 20minutes change the exercises and start over at 10minutes, 2 exercises, 15sec rest

  • @0587dave ok cheers dude.

  • how many times per week should you do this workout?

  • Clear, decisive and non-ambiguous advice. Easy to listen to and to retrieve the message. Would serve the basis for low-level interval training and yet still valid for higher intensity levels too. Thank you! HG in Australia.

  • I did this 30 mintutes every day for 7 days, on a 30 sec hard 30 sec easy, and lost 6 pounds already (I'm a girl who weighs 154 lbs so boys can lose weight even more). It's also more interesting to push yourself harder towards your goal in HIIT's rather than slow long boring cardio (I did this with feilds, crosstrainer, hill sprints, bicycle, and running in my school track so the key is variation!!).

  • @RinD88 woow thats great! i want to try this because i want fat loss. u did this with only running or did you do HIIT in other activities?

  • @joszna90 Like I said before, I did this with feilds, crosstrainer, hill sprints, bicycle, and running in my school track so the key is variation...

  • Looks like he's dancing

  • so i warm up, how many mins?

my highest i can run for is 11 mph.

but i have to do a speed that i can maintain like 9.0 or 10.0 for 30 seconds

and then drop to 4.0 for 1 min. then repeat?

  • is it okay to run in 90 sec (1½ min) and slow for 2 min? is that good?

  • How long should the resting period be if you sprint for 45 seconds?

    Thanks.

  • HIIT is excellent, I recomend it to anyone whether you want to increase your stamina, oxigen capacity, fat loss or build lean muscular body...it can be done simply running 5-10 intervals, riding a pushbike, or running uphill (my favorite) or weight lifting or lifting your body weight. Personally I've been doing it for about a year combining cardio & body weight lifting & I'm more then satisfayed.

  • ive been told by a super fit british soldier that you should aim for 90 seconds of sprinting at 12mph and then 30 seconds job pace not walk do for 10 minutes combined with 2 8 mile runs a week and you will become v fit

  • sprint at 100% if ur intensity for 90 seconds ?thats inhuman man i can sprint(with all i got) for 26 seconds and im done, do u happen to know how that soldier worked out to get that level of fitness ?

  • This is just a comercial. Guy have 200 pounds of muscles. And now he whants to convince us that he got that from that training?! We all knows that he was at gym at least 2 years and now hes selling eastern stuff, This u can teach at yoga class.

  • I use many different methods to work out, but, HIIT has to be the most effective for me. I have a hereditary neurological disorder that effects my periphiral nervous system, if I work out every day it just makes my weaker. With the HIIT workout, I train 2-3 times a week for 10-30minutes and definitely see gains in strength, endurance and body composition, and it gives my body time to recover. The biggest benefit for me is I can really challenge myself each time I train, a challenge makes it fun.

  • is it enough to do just 6 interval things 3 times a week or do u remend more on top of that

  • intervals rule, get a heart rate monitor. run till heart beat hits 170 ish, walk till it drops to 120, repeat.

depends on ur age and max heart rate ofc

  • thnx

  • Yeah if your just now getting into HIIT, don't do it on a treadmill. Otherwise, His advice is on spot.

  • this guy obviously knows what he's talking about or else he wouldnt be able to write for Men's Health, so keep that in mind before you guys decide it's alright to bash his training video.

  • @wushugungfu

heard cardio could kill you if your run on a tredmill for an hour ?

  • @CollegeLoheart

That might be true if you have a weak heart or some sort of medical condition, in which case you should see a doctor to recommend what you can and can't do...

  • @wushugungfu

I'm 100% healthy, but that is what I heard from some people they said you should just stick to HIIT cardio because when you are performing cardio for an hour you're just weaking your lungs, heart, and when you have the fight-or- flight respons from fighting or scared you could get a heart attack ?

  • @CollegeLoheart

Hmm... i don't know who told you that, but i wouldn't listen to them unless they have some pretty good credentials. The one that i do know about is that running long distances is bad for the joints, but i only know that to be worst case if you're a marathon runner. If doing cardio for an hour you definitely won't have bad lungs and heart, if this was the case special forces and special operators would be in the worst shape possible....

  • @CollegeLoheart

So with all that being said HIIT and interval training are the best for training for a fight situation whether it be MMA or self defense. If you want to be well rounded in fitness though, you should keep running, but no more than 3 miles every other day and mix it up with swimming to help build the lungs more and get a better full body workout.

  • @wushugungfu

Okay, so 3 miles a day ? Well I use a stationary bike in my room, and put the resistance on 1. I peddle for an hour what should I change up because I have these features that I don't know what the fuck to do with lol there is a picture of a mountain, and another picture of a mountain with steps on it ?

  • @wushugungfu mens health is just like any other health magazine. its made to sell and make a profit. it doesnt mean everything in it is true. have you even read mens health? 90% of it is just ads selling stuff. you could start your own magazine with a few articles yourself and that doesnt mean your the ultimate trainer or something.

  • @wushugungfu yea do u know how hard it is to even get to write ona mens health mag thats for the best of the best like the navy seals of the navy!

  • @jbreweriii Ya i dont know how hard it is to write for Men's Health, but you need some pretty good credentials to write for a company that big, so as to let them represent you. As far as best of the best, I know Navy SEALs use alot of crossfit training, it has become a whole new revolution in training

  • @wushugungfu obviously? employment by a magazine makes you a writer, not a genius on your topic of writing. Don't believe everything you read, you might start believing in EVERYTHING you read.

  • @wushugungfu

doesnt change the fact that he doesnt have the proper running mechanics..

  • @MrWindsurfer01 do you want attention or something? Bring up comments from 5 months ago, just to talk about running mechanics, when the HIIT is the subject here. If you want to troll, then go somewhere else, this has been done for a while. I'm not gonna give you anymore attention, so dont bother replying back, because I won't.

  • @wushugungfu Next time think twice when you're talking about credibility.

  • This just isn't high intensity. True high intensity is going all out, and it's impossible to do that on a treadmill, unless you're a senior citizen. Run as fast as you possibly can on a track, or pedal on a stationary bike that has a very high level of tension (like star cycle) for 20 seconds, then cool down and take it easy for 1.5 minutes. No one can go all out for more than 20 seconds

  • how long do you walk for before and after sprinting?

  • i do an interval every other minute >:)

  • More fit. Not fitter.

  • No its fitter wise ass. Used as a comparative term against one's present level of fitness.

  • so..sprint fo 45 secs how long so i rest for? 1 minute walk?

  • for half the amount of time your original interval time...so 22 seconds....thats my advice

  • Please give this a chance it is no scam I just really enjoy helping people and making people healthy.

Free online personal training by me, a certified personal trainer!! I also answer any questions that you may have about fitness and nutrition. My contact info is in my about me on my channel

  • I do a combination of high intensity steady state, AND interval training. I flip flop between these two modalities, which helps to break up the monotony, as well as keeping my body guessing.

Some times you need a break from HIIT, and lower intensity cardio can be used to facilitate recovery.

Ultimately it comes down to burning the largest number of calories in the shortest period of time.

  • Good to know the difference between high intensity and cardio

  • Im trying to get a 6 pack in 6 months im pretty out of shape so im starting off walking for about an hour on the treadmill everyday should i do that or is there a better way?

  • Eat more healthy.

Take proteins when ur going to the gym.

    Sleep more.

  • To Jordan; Your question is really hard to answer. First of all, have you calculated your lean body mass to see if your goal is realistic. Because 5-6% body fat is way beyond the term ''Fitness'' it is rather considered as the body fat of an ''athlete'' or for proffecional body buildier. However since you are running long distances I am eleminating the second option. If you message me I can direct you to the sources where you can find the best answer for your question. Confirmed by IFBB.

  • THis is a great answer, and I can second it myself being into bodybuilding. 5-6% is absolutely shredded and unattainable for a lot of fitness enthusiasts (save for drug use). At that pace Jordan, you are in essence doing medium-high intensity cardio for a long duration which is more catabolic than most any other form of cardio. Try doing what is described in this video and see how it goes, I know personally this has way more fat-burning effects than low intensity cardio.

  • I know that low intensity, long cardio is going to burn muscle as well as fat but what about high intensity long cardio?...for example I have been running 6 miles every other day @ a 6:15 min/mile pace or 4 miles @ a 5:52 min/mile... I am trying to get my body fat down to around 5-6% so I am lifting as well and my diet is good...my question is, am I properly working to achieve this body fat goal?

  • K thanks but I always did 1 minute sprint 2 minute Run 1 minute sprint 2 minute run 1 minute sprint 2 minute run . How does this compare ? Thanks

  • thx

  • how much time for recovery period?if its 90 seconds then it wud be only a 12 minute workout considering 30 seconds of sprint,is this enuf to lose weight?

  • 95-100% of max heart rate: 1:5 work-to-rest ratio

    85-95% of max heart rate: 1:3 work-to-rest-ratio

  • I have been doing this on my treadmill for about 2 mnths now & my legs (especially my calves) are starting to burn real bad about half way through my 25 - 30 min. workout. Can anyone explain why this is happening & how to stop it?

  • you need to stretch your calves first and other leg muscles to avoid cramps DUDE

  • Yep I figured that out. Thanks!

  • He didn't say how long you go slower for :(

    Anyone know?

  • For beginners, your recovery period is going to be longer than your intensity period. They recommend 30 sec all out followed by 90 sec rest (walking pace), repeat.

Of course, you can tweak it. You can sprint for 20, rest for 1.

But you need to keep your sprints between 15-45 sec. Because really, can you truly go ALL OUT for 1 minute or longer? Unless your an olympic runner, probably not.

  • Thanks!

As well, how long until I expect to see results?

I'm a bit overweight if that helps...?

  • I would say about 1 - 2 minutes is fine. Its different for every individual because some people recover they respatory system faster. Experiment with it and see for yourself. As long as you come down long enough to recover for the next 45 second sprint.

  • Comment removed

  • I hit a wall.. i lost 24 pounds by simple cardio so i lot a lot of fat but still my abs are covered with it. I am here now learning the interval training to burn the rest of my fat.

  • can you do the training on a bike instead of a treadmill

  • Absolutely! In fact, it's better for you because it doesn't impact your knees so much. Also, it's much easier to change speeds on a bike. I'd recommend a recumbent bike, too.

  • CARDIO ISNT BORING

  • low intensity cardio is pretty boring

  • There are plenty of serious researches proving HIIT is the best way to lose fat. Stop watching Oprah and think you know everything you stupid cunt !

    Go Craig Go !

  • hahahahhahaha well put oprah reference is prime

  • chilesk8ter, if you lost 10 pounds in 12 days then it was probably mostly water... or you lost a limb. :)

  • i lost 25 pounds in 90 days.. went from 16% body fat to 10.5%. using mostly long distance runs and long afternoons at the gym with my personal trainer. but to reply to your comment i probably lost about 8 pounds in the first 10-12 days.

  • @CroomRulz it was glycogen, water adema, and bloat.

1 lbs of glycogen hold 3x its weight, if you lose 2 lbs of glycogen you lose an additional 6 lbs of stored water.

  • @CroomRulz That wouldnt be bad if it was his dick he lost.. 10 pounds:O

  • @CroomRulz true when you eat less you consume less water plus the water isn't absorbed into the food in your system..lol for two days (without realizing it) i only ate two sandwiches, 2litres of mt dew, biked 4 miles, smoked kush and popped 2 adderall...dropped from 205 to 197.5 almost overnight lol! adderall, i wanna pop 4 then go to the gym..shit helps you focus like no other..after all its an amphetamine..take 40mg on an empty stomach..shit hits you hard

  • @heyitsthatoneguy91 excellent advice.....get fit with drugs. Loser.

  • @CroomRulz LOL, if I lost my cock I'd be down 12 pounds

  • @elgrancarlito lol good one

  • @CroomRulz its possible, but dangerous ;)

  • actually it worked really well for me and the people I work out with.

Im guessing you havent tried it and that you only googled any info that supported your limited opinion.

    why are HIIT people frauds?

A group of people who fight for the rights on sprinters? People who hate jogging?

    use your brain

  • @LisaStern26 that's why it works so much better than cardio? u mad?

  • Moreover, the ratio between work and recovery bouts was also the same, meaning that the total amount of time spent running on the treadmill (16 minutes) was also identical.

Despite the fact that exercise intensity and duration were kept constant during both trials, there were large differences in fat oxidation.

In fact, the number of fat calories burned was approximately 3 times LOWER during the long (24 seconds) interval workout.

  • As a somewhat active person who mainly jogs, sprinting for the first time in a reallyyyy long time at a speed I've never gone to at about 8mph on a treadmill was almost like a near death experience! ha. So I only did a measly session of 3 intervals just for the sake of not risking injury. Maybe I should down it a bit though since I'm a beginner at this.

  • gona give this a go, with a new lower calorie intake too.. wish me luck :)

  • Thanks, dawg. I

m trying this out in my jog in an hour.

    Thanks so so much!
