i lost my mum to ovarian cancer 2 weeks ago. she should have been diagnosed before and still been alive. i miss her so much.

Tomorrow Im going in to have my ovaries removed along with my tubes because of a persistant ovarian cyst Ive had come and go since 1991. I had a partial hystorectomy in 06 I knew i had them then. Im 50 now and have been in so much pain i cant wait for it to be gone. I hope it's just a sac of flied. Ive been watching the procedures on youtube & they have helped a bit calm my nerves.

I lost my partner in mar08 to ovarian cancer and i definitely think more awareness needs to happen. Kim was diagnosed with stage 4 in 2008 and lasted 3 years. I think doctors need to be better educated in this area as well. I am supporting Ovarian Cancer Australia with awareness and selling a cd my daughter Sarah made dedicated to Kim. I feel it should be a standerd procedure with the symptems to reguire a CA125 along with the pelvis and other test! I too was at 3c four years ago........not feeling much better but I am alive

I have stage 111c Ovarian Cancer....and i want to thank You for posting this.. Hopefully someone else will be made aware before its to late..
