How much would this guitar go for? Cause my cousin has one laying around his house and he doesn't even know how to play! Should I buy it? And how much should I buy It for?? And how much is it REALLY worth?? Ha thanks
To this day one of my favorite guitars I have ever owned was a Harmony. I dont even know its model; it was just some plain jane, white Harmony but it was a real trooper. That poor thing was my workhorse and it went through beating after beating and kept right on playing. Salute!
One of these online was posted for $475 it is in moderate condition it's been siting on a shelf for 20 years. Worth the $475 or is that just to much. Any feedback would be appreciated thanks!
do you buy and sell guitars? im trying to but its hard to want to sell!!! i have 19 guitars right now mostly all vintage silertone, kimberly, stella and others.
I owned this guitar in 1966. Purchased from sears and played though a bottle tube pa amp and 2x12 cab that my daddy built for me. Didn't know how good I had it. The band "The Bandits" played 1 gig. Oh well.
@rcpmac ...I also bought this guitar from Sears in Fairmount NY (west of Syracuse) in 1964 or so. I played it in my band until I traded it for a baby blue Hagstrom 6 in college. The 'Tone looked great (sorta like a Jaguar), but the neck was quite chunky when compared to the Hagstrom. When I bought it, I chose it over the Harmony version (which had pole pieces on the pickups) because it was only $100...$90 less than the Harmony). Thanks for the memories!!
I had this guitar in 1964...I bought it at Sears in Fairmount NY for $99. I was considering the HARMONY-branded version (with better pickups), but the Sears was cheaper. The neck was a little thick, but It was a great guitar for the money. I was a star (in my band, The Ultras), but the real bands around Syracuse had Jaguars and 335's....
Do you know what year yours is? Im getting a 1964 in the morning, I was sold after a min on a twin reverb. Gosh the clean tones are just heavenly on those!

@angelod4 If its a legitimate 60's model and in playable shape with a good neck, then yeah I would def buy one for 475 if I had the dough.
