  • Well I am from IL.

You are the First Person to Say I am Country...

  • @AKIYIAKELLY yea alot of my fam is from south Carolina

  • Wrapping your hair with 100% silk wraps or using bonnets really help in this process. I would love if you could do a product review for my silk products I make. Let me know your thoughts. sassyswag.webs.com. God bless.

  • Thank you for making this video. My edges have gotten so bad (well not severely but they really need to grow out)

I just received my Jamician Black Castor Oil. I have natral hair. I do not like putting a lot of product on my hair and the Jamician Black Castor Oil does give off an mild aroma.

I look foward to trying you mixture. The peppermint oil sounds great!

  • your welcome!

You will love the Black Jamican Castro oil...

  • Girl you are so right the object of a weave is to not look like a weave, but girl I'm going to try your concoction cause my edges has been abused thank you I hope it helps

  • Thanks for this video. See, thats why you my homegirl cause you know what you talking bout and you dont mind sharing with your girls. Thank you for sharing! This will really help my daughters. May God continue to bless you in your hair journey.

  • Thanks

  • yeah i remember i got a sew-in and itch so freaking bad i was like scratching my scalp i had to take it out after only about 3-4 days

  • How long did it take for Ur edges to grow back

  • it depends on the person and how bad they

are taking out. It is just like a wound.

Mine just grow back it is 85% grown in.

So I say mine took about 1yr.

  • gel mess up your edges too

  • actually it do and it dont.

B/c all gel you cant say that about.

Some Gels are great, aloe gel and flax seed gel..etc

  • itchiness is dry scalp. Also your hair isn't able to breathe like it does when it is in braids.

  • i'm afraid mine won't grow back because i believe the follicles came out. i've been trying to grow them since the 7th grade and i'm a junior in college now. is there any hope for me?

  • I say try this for a while...

Then if it dont work try going to a dermatologist.

    Thx for Watching...

  • @TaylorMz09 mee two. the follices could be dead :(. i havent had good edges since two or three years after my first perm! Im goin natural!!...eventually

  • @TaylorMz09 pray

  • I love how you said you massage you scalp and Pray..God does answer any thing even though it may seem like its nothing to us but to God its eveerything!!! luv luv luv it.

  • aww thank you..God is the Answer to Everything!

    Be Blessed...

  • how much does it all cost? the whole concocktion

  • girl to be honest with you I have no clue..lol

I sell most of the products for a reasonable

price on my website..Check it out it is: akiyia.webs.com

    Thanks for watching!

  • hi akiya.. my name is cece. um ive been thinking about going natural becuz of the fact that my hair is sorta short... before i go natural without any perms do you think i should gt my hair cut evenly?? cuz my hair is very damaged and uneven...

  • That is a good ?. It all depends on how damaged it is. But to be honest with

you Yrs ago before my mom went natural her hair was super damaged and uneven.

She just start deep condition it & taking good care of it. Which included stop putting perms in and She also wore alot of protective styles Braids, Twist etc...And now her hair is super healthy and at a really

good Length. And she never got her hair cut. But it is up too you...

  • Hey!thanks for the info i agree with all of the products u mentioned...But I just wanted to tell u about another product I use.I was already using the Jamaican Black castor Oil, for about 2 weeks. Then I started using 100% Pure Emu Oil and I have to tell u within a week i saw great results so I use Emu oil every morning & massage & JBCO@night &massage before I tie my hair up...all areas filled in and now they are growing out & super busy!

  • Yes girl I love blk Jamican Castro oil..I am low on that I am actually about to purchase that as

we speak. The rest of the Products I havent tried. Thx for the info...I will be purchasing that Emu oil

I have heard really good stuff about that..

  • your hair looks great! I've been praying for hair restoration and believing in my hair being replenished.

  • Thank you! it will grow back just keep taking care of them...

I am a personal witness. Mine is growning back great!

  • Girl You're weave looks good I thought it was you're hair until you said something, lol

  • I use aragon oil on my hair. I use to use on my edges, but was was getting oil books. You're not suppose to use aragon oil in the scalp and edges equal scalp. I started using Doo Gro Stimulator Oil. After one week, my edges started filling in. YAY!

  • GREAT...i used the doo groo before also I like there products..

I was about to buy that aragon oil I heard it is great.

    Thx for the info though..

  • I don't really wear waves or braids and my edges are just thin. I think this is a problem a lot of black women have in general. As we age our hair starts to grow slower. So maybe after removing braids or weave let the hair rest for a day with a message and then detangle and wash.

  • I Agree & Disagree. I do agree that Thin Edges is a thing that

a lot of Black woman have. It doesn't have any thing to do with age.

It is b/c a lot of us don't know how to take care of our hair.

We are always told just to Perm it. Breakage is a sign of Lack of something.

With proper hair maintence your hair can grow back!

Hair just don't Break just b/c. We do loose certain strands of hair each day but that isn't breakage.

Have a Happy New Yrs...Thx for Watching

  • omg i had no idea that was weave until u pulled it back. woow

  • I love this tutorial I lost my edges at the age of 15 I was living in NY at the time and since being natural I'm starting to see a little fuzz around it...keep up the great work!!

  • Thx..I am so happy your Edges are groing back also..

    Take care...

  • Can you put that on your eyebrows?

  • I really dont know...its worth a try though...Just be careful so it wont drip in your eyes.

  • @AKIYIAKELLY Hey kelly im a male and my edges aren't that bad but are a lil back will this work for me? Thank you.

  • I say try it a & see. Let me know the out come ok...

  • you sound like me I been praying about my hair since going natural! My edge are shot man, I use to wear weave and braids all the time and now my edges are very very thin.

  • Actually it isnt wearing the braids or weave that takes your hair out or make it thin!

The problem is how it is installed and how it is removed. And how the natural hair is being taking care of underneath the weave. Braids and Weaves suppose to grow the hair and let it make your natural hair rest. You always have to care for your natural real hair. And make sure someone with Hair Care do your braids.

Not just someone that just know how to do Braids....

  • @AKIYIAKELLY u are so right if you not careful how you take out braids or weave you can lose alot of hair me and my friend got our hair braided by the same young lady she lost alot of hair when she took hers out because she wasnt careful me on the other hand didnt lose alot of hair so thats so true

  • wearing wigs for a year has savaged my hairline.now i have trouble growing my hair back. good for you that wigs aren't an issue for you!

  • I dont wear wigs at all. I just where weaves I dont like wigs. They are hot and itchy. Try a sew in weave or quick weave. The good thing about them is your scalp can still breath. But if you make sure you braid your natural hair befor you put the wig on it shouldnt break your edges off. My aunt is faithful to her wigs and her hair is so long and grow all the time. So its not the wig you need to take better care of your natural hair probaly more! Take care...
